Derlemenin Ocak 2010 tarihli say\u0131m\u0131zda yay\u0131mlanan birinci b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnde, evlerimizde i\u00e7 i\u00e7e ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z, hal\u0131, perde, oyuncak, televizyon, bilgisayar gibi pek \u00e7ok \u00fcr\u00fcne giren, sentetik kimyasal gruplar\u0131n sa\u011fl\u0131k a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan olas\u0131 zararl\u0131 etkilerinden s\u00f6z ediliyordu. \u015eubat 2010 tarihli say\u0131m\u0131zda yay\u0131mlanan ikinci b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnde ise, kozmetiklerde bulunan kimyasallar ve bunlar\u0131n olas\u0131 zararlar\u0131 ele al\u0131nm\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Kulland\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin nas\u0131l etkidiklerine ger\u00e7ek anlamda dikkat etmeden ellerimizi, bedenimizi, giysilerimizi y\u0131kar\u0131z. Oysa bir kal\u0131p sabunun d\u00fcz y\u00fczeyinin alt\u0131nda ilgin\u00e7 bir hik\u00e2ye ve g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir kimya yatmaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Sabunun k\u0131sa tarihi<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sabunun ilk ne zaman ke\u015ffedildi\u011fini s\u00f6ylemek zor. Baz\u0131 savlara g\u00f6re tarih\u00f6ncesi insan\u0131n ya\u015fam\u0131nda bile ilkel bir formu bulunmaktayd\u0131. Avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131lar\u0131n dahi sabun kullanm\u0131\u015f olabilecekleri d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyor. Kesin olan bir \u015fey var ki, antik Babilliler sabun kullan\u0131yordu. M\u00d6 1500\u2019lerde M\u0131s\u0131r\u2019da alkali tuzlar ve hayvansal-bitkisel ya\u011flardan yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f sabunlar\u0131n deri hastal\u0131klar\u0131 i\u00e7in \u00f6nerildi\u011fi, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz\u00fc kalan par\u015f\u00f6men re\u00e7etelerden okunmaktad\u0131r. Eski Romal\u0131lar da sabunun temizleme g\u00fcc\u00fcn\u00fc kazara ke\u015ffetmi\u015flerdir: Sapo Da\u011f\u0131\u2019nda hayvanlar\u0131n kurban edildi\u011fi yerde ya\u011fmur sular\u0131, hayvan ya\u011flar\u0131, odun k\u00fclleri ve topraktaki kili birbirleriyle kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131rmaktayd\u0131. Kad\u0131nlar \u00e7ok daha kolay sonu\u00e7 ald\u0131klar\u0131 i\u00e7in giysilerini bu killi kar\u0131\u015f\u0131mla y\u0131kamaya ba\u015flad\u0131lar. Efsane Sapo Da\u011f\u0131\u2019n\u0131, sabunun ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u0131yla ilintilendirmektedir.\u00a0Romal\u0131lar hamamlar\u0131yla \u00fcn salm\u0131\u015f olsalar da, ilgin\u00e7tir ki ger\u00e7ekte sabunu y\u0131kanmak i\u00e7in kullanmazlard\u0131. Onlar kendilerini g\u00fczelce ya\u011flay\u0131p ard\u0131ndan da iyice keselenmekteydiler.\u00a0Her ne kadar Pompei\u2019nin kal\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131nda sabun kal\u0131plar\u0131 bulunmu\u015fsa da, arkeologlar bunlar\u0131n daha \u00e7ok \u00e7ama\u015f\u0131rlar i\u00e7in, nadiren beden i\u00e7in kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmekteler.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>y\u00fczy\u0131l civar\u0131nda art\u0131k sabun yap\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 Avrupa\u2019da bir zanaat olarak tan\u0131mlanmaktayd\u0131. Fransa, \u0130spanya ve \u0130talya\u2019da sabun yap\u0131m merkezlerinin y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131 parlamaya ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Amerika\u2019da sabuncular en erken 1608\u2019de Jamestown\u2019da i\u015f bulmu\u015flar.\u00a0Buna ra\u011fmen erken g\u00f6\u00e7menlerin \u00e7o\u011fu kendi sabunlar\u0131n\u0131 k\u00fcl ve hayvansal ya\u011flar\u0131 kaynatarak yapmaktayd\u0131. 20. y\u00fczy\u0131la kadar sabun end\u00fcstrisi dura\u011fan bir seyir izledi. 1916\u2019da Almanlar malzemelerin yetersizli\u011finden s\u0131k\u0131nt\u0131 \u00e7ektiklerinden, sabunun y\u00fczy\u0131llard\u0131r s\u00fcren rol\u00fcn\u00fc kimyasal bir at\u0131l\u0131mla de\u011fi\u015ftirdiler, sentetik deterjanlar\u0131 olu\u015fturdular. Bu yeni \u00fcr\u00fcnler \u015fa\u015f\u0131rt\u0131c\u0131 derecede ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131yd\u0131. 1946\u2019da \u00e7ama\u015f\u0131r deterjan\u0131 art\u0131k t\u00fcm Amerika\u2019da kullan\u0131mdayd\u0131. K\u0131sa bir s\u00fcre sonra, 1953\u2019de, deterjan sat\u0131\u015flar\u0131 sabunu sollay\u0131p ge\u00e7mi\u015fti.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Sabun ve deterjanlar kimyasal yap\u0131lar\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan son derece benzer niteliklere sahiptirler. Buna ra\u011fmen belirgin bir farklar\u0131 vard\u0131r. Sabunlar do\u011fald\u0131rlar.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Deterjanlar temizliyor mu, kirletiyor mu?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yukar\u0131da da belirtti\u011fimiz gibi, \u00f6nceki asr\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda sabun elde edilmesinde kullan\u0131lan ya\u011flar\u0131n k\u0131tl\u0131\u011f\u0131, temizleyici ba\u015fka maddelerin bulunmas\u0131 i\u00e7in \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n ba\u015flamas\u0131na neden oldu. Ham petrolden sentetik yolla deterjan \u00fcretilmesine ba\u015fland\u0131. \u00d6zellikle 2. D\u00fcnya Sava\u015f\u0131 s\u0131ras\u0131nda Avrupa ve Amerika\u2019da yayg\u0131n olarak kullan\u0131lan sentetik temizleyiciler, bula\u015f\u0131c\u0131 hastal\u0131klar\u0131n yay\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nlenmesinde ve temizlikte b\u00fcy\u00fck kolayl\u0131klar sa\u011flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ancak bu maddelerin rasgele \u00fcretilmesi ve \u00e7evreye yay\u0131lmas\u0131yla 1960\u2019l\u0131 y\u0131llarda ABD gibi baz\u0131 Bat\u0131 \u00fclkelerinde deterjanlar\u0131n do\u011fa kirlenmesinde \u00f6nemli rol oynad\u0131\u011f\u0131 belirlenmi\u015f ve bu konuda bir dizi \u00f6nlemler alma zorunlulu\u011fu ortaya \u00e7\u0131km\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Deterjanlara temizleyici \u00f6zellik veren yap\u0131s\u0131ndaki y\u00fczey-aktif maddelerdir. \u00dcreticiler \u00e7o\u011funlukla deterjanlar i\u00e7inde pahal\u0131 olan bu maddeleri d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck oranda (y\u00fczde 10-30) kullanmakta, onlar\u0131n yerlerine, ucuz olan bentonit, kaolin, de\u011fi\u015fik tuzlar, asitler ve silikatlar gibi temizleyici \u00f6zelli\u011fi olan, ancak suda az eriyen inorganik maddeleri ye\u011flemektedirler. Bir deterjan\u0131n yap\u0131s\u0131ndaki biyolojik bozulmaya (biyodegredasyon) u\u011framayan maddelerin oran\u0131, onun \u00e7evre kirlenmesi ve sa\u011fl\u0131\u011fa olan zararlar\u0131n\u0131n g\u00f6stergesidir. Bu maddelerin su ve toprakta bozulmadan kal\u0131p, akarsularla g\u00f6l ve denizlere ula\u015fmas\u0131, buralarda ya\u015fayan canl\u0131lar\u0131 ve onlarla beslenen insanlar\u0131n sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 tehdit etmektedir. Son 25 y\u0131ld\u0131r bir\u00e7ok \u00fclke deterjan \u00fcretiminde art\u0131k biyolojik bozulmas\u0131 h\u0131zl\u0131 y\u00fczey-aktif maddeler ve katk\u0131 maddeleri kullanmaktad\u0131r. Y\u00fczey-aktif maddesi lineeralkilbenzen (LAB) ve benzeri yap\u0131da olan deterjanlar su ve toprakta daha h\u0131zl\u0131 biyodegredasyona u\u011frad\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan, deterjan \u00fcretiminde \u00f6ncelikle ye\u011f tutulmaktad\u0131r. \u00d6rne\u011fin ABD 1963\u2019den bu yana LAB d\u0131\u015f\u0131ndaki y\u00fczey-aktif maddelerin deterjanlara kat\u0131lmas\u0131na izin vermemektedir. Daha \u00f6nceki deterjanlara kat\u0131lan dedosilbenzen (DDB) y\u00fczey-aktif maddesi, kimyasal yap\u0131s\u0131nda sa\u011flam halkal\u0131 gruplar i\u00e7erdi\u011finden su ve toprakta bakteri ve enzimlerin etkisiyle olduk\u00e7a g\u00fc\u00e7 \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcnmekte, dolay\u0131s\u0131yla do\u011fada giderek birikmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Deterjanlarda \u00f6nemli oranda (y\u00fczde 70-90) bulunan temizleyici, beyazlat\u0131c\u0131, yumu\u015fat\u0131c\u0131, k\u00f6p\u00fcrt\u00fcc\u00fc, parlakl\u0131k verici ya da antiseptik \u00f6zellik veren katk\u0131 maddelerinin \u00e7o\u011fu da, y\u00fczey-aktif maddeleri gibi, insan organizmas\u0131na g\u0131dalar ve di\u011fer yollardan girdiklerinde, dokularda iritasyon sonucu olumsuz etkilere neden olabilmektedir. Her ne kadar bu maddelerin insanda kanserojen etki yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131na ili\u015fkin net bilgi olmasa da (!!!), bir\u00e7ok kanser t\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn dokular\u0131n s\u00fcrekli iritasyonu sonucu olu\u015fabildi\u011fi ve deterjan kimyasallar\u0131 ile baz\u0131 kanserler aras\u0131nda birlikte bulunma paralelli\u011fine rastland\u0131\u011f\u0131 bilgisi literat\u00fcrlerde vard\u0131r. Deterjanlarda kullan\u0131lan petrol t\u00fcrevlerinin zarars\u0131z oldu\u011funu g\u00f6steren veri de yoktur.<\/p>\n<p>Piyasada sat\u0131lan bula\u015f\u0131k deterjanlar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7o\u011funda y\u00fcksek d\u00fczeyde fosfat ve klor bulunur. Klor, kanalizasyon sistemine kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, organiklerle birle\u015ferek son derece tehlikeli bir kimyasal madde olarak bilinen trihalometan\u0131 meydana getirir. Klor ayn\u0131 zamanda, kanalizasyon sistemindeki maddeleri par\u00e7alama fonksiyonu olan yararl\u0131 bakteri ve mikroorganizmalar\u0131 da \u00f6ld\u00fcr\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p>Bula\u015f\u0131klar i\u00e7in kullan\u0131lan deterjanlar\u0131n ana maddeleri petrol kaynakl\u0131d\u0131r ve bu sebeple bakterilerce ayr\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131l\u0131p do\u011faya tekrar kazand\u0131r\u0131lamazlar. \u00c7ama\u015f\u0131r \u00fcr\u00fcnlerinin \u00e7o\u011fu do\u011fal ortamda ayr\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131l\u0131p geri kazan\u0131lmayan malzemeler; fenol, amonyak, naftalin, klor ve di\u011fer zararl\u0131 kimyasal maddeleri i\u00e7erirler.<\/p>\n<p>Aktive edici katk\u0131 maddeleri, sentetik deterjan\u0131n temizleme g\u00fcc\u00fcn\u00fc art\u0131ran ve y\u0131kama suyunun sertli\u011fini gideren inorganik kimyasal maddelerdir. Bunlar\u0131n \u00e7e\u015fitleri; fosfat, karbonat, silikat bile\u015fikleri, boraks ve perborat tuzlar\u0131d\u0131r. Bu aktive edici maddelerden fosfat\u0131n \u00f6zelli\u011fi kullan\u0131lan suyun sertli\u011fini azaltmakt\u0131r. Fosfat suya sertlik veren maddelerle tepkimeye girerek suyun sertli\u011fini azaltmak suretiyle deterjan kullanma miktar\u0131n\u0131 da azalt\u0131r. Karbonat, silikat gibi aktive edici katk\u0131 maddeleri bir arada etki ederek kirlerin yumu\u015famas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flar. Boraks ve perborat tuzlar\u0131 ise ortama oksijen vererek dezenfekte olmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flarlar. A\u011fart\u0131c\u0131 \u00f6zellik g\u00f6sterirler.<\/p>\n<p>Fosfat, \u0131rmaklar\u0131, g\u00f6lleri ve fazla ak\u0131nt\u0131 olmayan k\u00f6rfezleri istila eden zehirli mavi-ye\u015fil alglerin (yosunlar\u0131n) ana nedenidir. Deniz, akarsu ve g\u00f6llerde en belirgin kirlenme \u00e7e\u015fitlerinden biri, a\u015f\u0131r\u0131 \u00fcremek anlam\u0131na gelen \u00f6trofikasyondur. Suyun ye\u015fil ve bulan\u0131k bir renge d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015fmesine, k\u0131y\u0131larda fosfatla beslenen yosunlar\u0131n (alglerin) birikmesine yol a\u00e7ar. A\u015f\u0131r\u0131 fosfatla birlikte insan taraf\u0131ndan sulak alanlar ve denizlere y\u00fcklenen di\u011fer bitki besin maddeleri, bu yosunlar\u0131n \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck miktarda \u00fcremesine, h\u0131zl\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fcmesine sebep olur. Bu yosunlar\u0131n dibe \u00e7\u00f6k\u00fcp ayr\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 sonucu, dip sular\u0131n oksijeni t\u00fckenir ve hidros\u00fclfit gaz\u0131 (\u00e7\u00fcr\u00fck yumurta kokusu) ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar. Bu, suda ya\u015fayan canl\u0131 hayat\u0131n sonunu haz\u0131rlar. \u0130zmir K\u00f6rfezi, K\u00f6yce\u011fiz G\u00f6l\u00fc fosfat kaynakl\u0131 kirlenmenin ve \u00f6trofikasyonun iki \u00f6rne\u011fini olu\u015fturuyor.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dclkemizde firmalar\u0131n can\u0131 isterse uygulayabilecekleri ve sadece \u00e7ama\u015f\u0131r deterjanlar\u0131yla ilgili TSE standartlar\u0131 bulunuyor. Bunun d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda \u00fcretici firmalar\u0131n \u00fczerinde herhangi bir denetim veya yapt\u0131r\u0131m bulunmamaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Hal\u0131 ve d\u00f6\u015femelik kuma\u015flar\u0131n temizli\u011fi i\u00e7in haz\u0131rlanm\u0131\u015f \u015fampuanlar\u0131n bir\u00e7o\u011funun aktif maddesi, genellikle leke \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131c\u0131 olarak kullan\u0131lan bir \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcc\u00fc olan perkloretilendir. Bu madde kanserojen olarak bilinir. Uzun d\u00f6nemli sunuk kalma sonucu, karaci\u011fer ya da merkezi sinir sistemi zarar g\u00f6rebilir. Hal\u0131 \u015fampuanlar\u0131nda, yine insanlar i\u00e7in kanserojen etkilerinden \u015f\u00fcphelenilen naftalin, etanol, amonyak ve deterjanlar bulunabilir. Hal\u0131 ve kilimler \u00e7o\u011funlukla naylon, lateks, polyester, poli\u00fcretan, pvc\/vinil klorid, akrilik gibi plastik malzemelerden yap\u0131l\u0131r. Plastik malzemeler do\u011fal malzemelere g\u00f6re \u00e7ok daha fazla toz \u00e7eker ve tutar. Do\u011fal malzemelerden olu\u015fan bir duvardan duvara hal\u0131n\u0131z varsa bile, b\u00fcy\u00fck olas\u0131l\u0131kla zeminde poli\u00fcretan kullan\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Oda deodorantlar\u0131nda bulunan kimyasal maddelerden baz\u0131lar\u0131 naftalin, fenol, kresol, etanol, ksilen ve formaldehittir.<\/p>\n<p>Mobilya cilalar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7o\u011funda, insan i\u00e7in kanser yap\u0131c\u0131 oldu\u011fundan \u015f\u00fcphelenilen fenol bulunur. \u0130\u00e7indeki di\u011fer kimyasallar ise nitrobenzen (\u00e7ok zehirli), akrilonitril, amonyak, deterjanlar, yapay kokular, nafta ve dam\u0131t\u0131lm\u0131\u015f petrol \u00fcr\u00fcnleridir.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Temizlikte kullanabilece\u011fimiz do\u011fal maddeler<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yukar\u0131da aktard\u0131klar\u0131m\u0131zdan g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc gibi temizlikte sentetik kimyasal \u00fcr\u00fcnleri kullanmakla, kendi ve ailemizin sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 riske atman\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra, do\u011faya da kal\u0131c\u0131 zararlar veriyoruz. Oysa temizlikte kullanabilece\u011fimiz alternatif \u00fcr\u00fcnler de var. A\u015fa\u011f\u0131da s\u0131ralanan \u00f6neriler, okudu\u011funuz makaleyi derleyenin ki\u015fisel deneyimine dayanmakta, daha iyi alternatifler bulunana kadar ve kullan\u0131lacak alet ve \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin kullan\u0131m k\u0131lavuzunda aksi belirtilmedi\u011fi s\u00fcrece \u00f6nerilmektedir. Olu\u015fabilecek zararlarda sorumluluk uygulayana aittir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yumu\u015fak sabun (arapsabunu):<\/strong> Bitkisel ya\u011f tabanl\u0131 s\u0131v\u0131 sabundur. Bu t\u00fcr sabunlar hayvan ya\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7eren ya da petrol tabanl\u0131 sabunlara tercih edilmelidir. S\u0131v\u0131 el sabunlar\u0131 petrol tabanl\u0131d\u0131r. Kozmetik kal\u0131p sabunlar\u0131n \u00e7o\u011fu hayvan ya\u011flar\u0131yla yap\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Arap sabunu elde \u00e7ama\u015f\u0131r, bula\u015f\u0131k y\u0131kamada kullan\u0131labilir.
