Ancak bazen do\u011fa k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir hileyle bu sorunu \u00e7\u00f6zer, iki ebeveynin kal\u0131t\u0131msal bilgilerinin yar\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n aktar\u0131lmas\u0131 yerine iki bitki t\u00fcm bilgiyi yeni d\u00f6le aktar\u0131rlar. Bu kromozom setlerinin kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 anlam\u0131na gelir. \u00dcreme h\u00fccrelerini olu\u015fturan mayoz b\u00f6l\u00fcnme s\u0131ras\u0131nda kromozomlar halen e\u015flenebilir durumdaysalar, bu bitkilerin \u00fcreyebilir olmas\u0131na imkan verir ve b\u00f6ylece yeni bir t\u00fcr k\u0131sa yoldan ortaya \u00e7\u0131km\u0131\u015f olur. Allopoliploit olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan iki genomun (t\u00fcm genetik materyal) bile\u015fme (rekombinasyon) s\u00fcreci yabani bitkilerde ve bu\u011fday, kolza, pamuk gibi ekinlerde \u00e7ok kez g\u00f6zlenmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>\u015eimdi ise Max Planck Molek\u00fcler Bitki Fizyolojisi Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc&#8217;nden Ralph Bock&#8217;un ekibi e\u015feysiz \u00fcremeyle de benzer \u015fekilde yeni t\u00fcrler olu\u015fabilece\u011fini g\u00f6sterdiler. Bock&#8217;un ekibi \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda a\u015f\u0131lama ad\u0131 verilen tekni\u011fi kulland\u0131lar. Bu genellikle do\u011fada bitkilerin temas alanlar\u0131nda birlikte b\u00fcy\u00fcmeleri olarak bilinir. Ba\u011fc\u0131l\u0131k ve bah\u00e7\u0131vanl\u0131kta yeti\u015ftiriciler bu metodu iki bitkinin \u00f6zelliklerini \u00e7aprazlamadan elde etmek i\u00e7in kullan\u0131rlar. \u00d6rne\u011fin, asma \u00fcz\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fc k\u00f6k ha\u015farelerinden korumak i\u00e7in kullan\u0131l\u0131r. Elit \u00fcz\u00fcm k\u00fclt\u00fcrlerinden k\u00f6kleri dayanaks\u0131z olanlar yabani bitkilere a\u015f\u0131lanarak b\u00fcy\u00fct\u00fcl\u00fcr ancak \u015fimdiye kadar bu i\u015flem s\u0131ras\u0131nda genetik bir de\u011fi\u015fme ya da bile\u015fme (rekombinasyon)\u00a0 yatay gen aktar\u0131m\u0131 olarak isimlendirilir- ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmedi\u011fine inan\u0131l\u0131yordu.<\/p>\n<p>Ralph Bock yeni \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmay\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131klarken &#8220;\u00d6nceki \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmam\u0131zda genellikle kabul edilen dogmaya kar\u015f\u0131n a\u015f\u0131lanm\u0131\u015f bitkilerin etkile\u015fim alanlar\u0131ndaki kloroplast genlerinde yatay gen aktar\u0131m\u0131 oldu\u011funu g\u00f6sterebilmi\u015ftik. Sonras\u0131nda ise e\u011fer h\u00fccre \u00e7ekirdekleri aras\u0131nda bir genetik bilgi aktar\u0131m\u0131 varsa bunu da ke\u015ffetmek istiyorduk.&#8221; diyor.<\/p>\n<p>Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar iki farkl\u0131 antibiyoti\u011fe kar\u015f\u0131 diren\u00e7 genlerini iki t\u00fct\u00fcn t\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn (genellikle \u00e7aprazlanamayan Nicotiana glauca ve Nicotiana tabacum) \u00e7ekirdek genomuna aktard\u0131lar. Sonras\u0131nda N. glauca, N. tabacum t\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn \u00fczerine a\u015f\u0131land\u0131. Kayna\u015fma ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftikten sonra, bilim insanlar\u0131 etkile\u015fim alt\u0131ndaki dokuyu \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131lar ve k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc iki antibiyoti\u011fi i\u00e7eren bir besi ortam\u0131na ektiler. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla sadece iki antibiyoti\u011fe de diren\u00e7li olan, yani iki diren\u00e7 genine de sahip olan h\u00fccreler varsa hayatta kalabileceklerdi. \u015ea\u015f\u0131rt\u0131c\u0131 bi\u00e7imde, biliminsanlar\u0131 \u00e7ifte dirence sahip pek \u00e7ok bitkiyi yeti\u015ftirmeyi ba\u015fard\u0131lar.<\/p>\n<p>Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar sadece tekil genlerin mi, yoksa t\u00fcm genomun mu aktar\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirlemek i\u00e7in diren\u00e7li bitkilerin \u00e7ekirdeklerindeki kromozomlar\u0131 sayd\u0131lar. E\u011fer t\u00fcm genom aktar\u0131lm\u0131\u015fsa yeni bitkilerde iki t\u00fcr\u00fcn kromozom say\u0131lar\u0131 toplam\u0131 kadar kromozom bulunmal\u0131yd\u0131. 72 kromozom sayd\u0131lar ve bu 24 kromozomlu N. glauca ve 48 kromozomlu N. tabacum&#8217;un say\u0131lar\u0131 toplam\u0131na e\u015fitti. B\u00f6ylece iki t\u00fcr\u00fcn kesi\u015fim noktas\u0131ndan \u00fcretilen bitkilerin iki t\u00fcrden de genetik bilgi ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00fc\u015f oldu. Bug\u00fcne kadar sadece e\u015feyli \u00fcremede g\u00f6zlenen allopoliploit, e\u015feyli olmayan \u00fcremeyle ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirildi.<\/p>\n<p>Bilim insanlar\u0131 yeni bitkileri serada yeti\u015ftirdikleri zaman, bitkiler tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lmaz bi\u00e7imde iki ana bitkinin \u00f6zelliklerinin bile\u015fimini g\u00f6sterdiler. Fakat \u00e7arp\u0131c\u0131 bir fark vard\u0131: yeni bitkiler ebevynlerine g\u00f6re olduk\u00e7a h\u0131zl\u0131 geli\u015fiyorlard\u0131. Bu uyumsal avantaj hem allopoliploit yabani bitkilerden, hem de \u00fcst\u00fcn b\u00fcy\u00fcme \u00f6zellikleri olan allopoliploit ekinlerden biliniyordu. Yeni bitkiler e\u015feyli bi\u00e7imde \u00fcredikten ve yeni d\u00f6l\u00fcnde yavru yapabilir oldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fckten sonra, yeni bir t\u00fcr olarak tarif edilebildiler.
