Amerikal\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar Utah Dinozor M\u00fczesi\u2019nden Stephen Czerkas ve Kuzey Karolina \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nden Alan Feduccia, fosilin ilk olarak d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc gibi bir dinozora de\u011fil; k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck, s\u00fcz\u00fclme yetene\u011fi olan, a\u011fa\u00e7lara t\u0131rmanan bir hayvana ait oldu\u011funu belirtiyorlar.<\/p>\n<p><em>Scansoriopteryx<\/em> fosili (t\u0131rmanan kanat anlam\u0131na geliyor) \u0130\u00e7 Mo\u011folistan\u2019da bulundu ve\u00c7in Yer Bilimleri Akademisi ile ortak devam eden \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n bir par\u00e7as\u0131 oldu. Fosil daha \u00f6nce, pek \u00e7ok uzman\u0131n sonradan u\u00e7an dinozorlar ve ku\u015flara evrimle\u015fti\u011fini kabul etti\u011fi k\u00f6lurozorteropod dinozor olarak s\u0131n\u0131fland\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Ara\u015ft\u0131rma grubu, daha \u00f6nce a\u00e7\u0131k\u00e7a g\u00f6r\u00fclemeyen yap\u0131lar\u0131 ortaya \u00e7\u0131karmak i\u00e7in geli\u015fmi\u015f \u00fc\u00e7 boyutlu mikroskop, y\u00fcksek \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fcrl\u00fckl\u00fc foto\u011fraflar ve k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck a\u00e7\u0131l\u0131 ayd\u0131nlatma kulland\u0131. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar dinozorlar\u0131n ku\u015flar\u0131n atalar\u0131 olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyor. Onlara g\u00f6re <em>Scansoriopteryx<\/em>, atalar\u0131 dinozorlardan \u00e7ok \u00f6nce ya\u015fayan, a\u011fa\u00e7lara t\u0131rmanan arkozorlar aras\u0131nda bulunan, bir ku\u015f atas\u0131 olarak g\u00f6r\u00fclmelidir.<\/p>\n<p>Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, incelemeler boyunca dinozora benzemeyen \u00f6zelliklerin bir birle\u015fimini buldular. <em>Scansoriopteryx<\/em>\u2019de uzam\u0131\u015f \u00f6n ayaklar, kanat ve arka ayak t\u00fcyleri, dirseklerin \u00f6n\u00fcndeki kanat zar\u0131, el bile\u011fine benzeyen yar\u0131m ay \u015feklindeki kemikler, ku\u015flara ait t\u00fcneme ayaklar\u0131, \u00f6ndeki k\u0131sa omurga, kuyruk ve a\u011fa\u00e7lara t\u0131rmanmay\u0131 m\u00fcmk\u00fcn k\u0131lan pen\u00e7eler gibi \u015f\u00fcphe g\u00f6t\u00fcrmez ku\u015f \u00f6zelliklerine sahip oldu\u011funu tespit ettiler. \u00d6n ve arka ayaklardaki uzam\u0131\u015f t\u00fcyleri \u00f6zellikle \u00f6nemli buluyorlar. Bu onlara g\u00f6re, <em>Scansoriopteryx<\/em>\u2019in,a\u011fa\u00e7lardan s\u00fcz\u00fclebilen veya para\u015f\u00fct yapabilmek i\u00e7in temel aerodinamik manevralar\u0131n \u00fcstesinden gelebilen ilkel ku\u015f atalar\u0131n\u0131n bi\u00e7imine sahip oldu\u011funu ortaya koyuyor.<\/p>\n<p>Yeni bulgular, 1900\u2019l\u00fc y\u0131llarda yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olan, ku\u015flar\u0131n atalar\u0131n\u0131n en az\u0131ndan s\u00fcz\u00fclmelerine olanak sa\u011flayan t\u00fcylerle birlikte u\u00e7ma kabiliyetini hen\u00fcz geli\u015ftirmekte olan, a\u011fa\u00e7lara t\u0131rmanan k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck arkozorlar oldu\u011fu y\u00f6n\u00fcndeki tahminleri do\u011frulad\u0131. Ge\u00e7ti\u011fimiz on y\u0131llarda pek \u00e7ok paleontolog bu \u201ca\u011fa\u00e7tan inme\u201d g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcn \u201cyerden kalkmak\u201dtan farkl\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fclmesi sebebiyle ku\u015flar\u0131n karada ya\u015fayan teropod dinozorlardan t\u00fcredi\u011fini kabul etmi\u015fti.<\/p>\n<p><em>Scansoriopteryx<\/em>\u2019in dinozor olmayan bir ku\u015f atas\u0131 oldu\u011funun belirlenmesi, dinozorlar ve ku\u015flar aras\u0131ndaki ili\u015fkinin tekrar de\u011ferlendirmesine olanak sa\u011flayacak. Czerkas, \u201cBiliminsanlar\u0131 sonunda dinozorlar ve ku\u015flar\u0131 birbirinden ay\u0131ran kap\u0131n\u0131n anahtar\u0131na sahip oldu\u201d diyor.
