D\u00fcnya Sava\u015f\u0131\u2019nda merkezi bir rol oymam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Laboratuvar \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131 y\u00fcr\u00fcterek model i\u00e7in deneysel veriler sa\u011flayan Jelena\u00a0Raspopovic idi; bilgisayar sim\u00fclasyonlar\u0131yla laboratuvarda denenen tahminleri elde eden\u00a0ise Luciano Marcon. Pek \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 genin izlerinin g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fclenmesiyle, gereken hareket desenine sahip iki sinyal yolu ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar\u0131n dikkatleri \u00e7ekti: BMP ve WNT. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar verilerin t\u00fcm\u00fcne uygun en k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck olas\u0131 matematiksel modeli \u00fcretti ve iki sinyal yolunun yay\u0131lmayan bir molek\u00fclle ba\u011flant\u0131l\u0131 oldu\u011funu buldu. Daha k\u0131sa vadede bu sonu\u00e7lar polidaktilinin (fazladan el ve ayak parma\u011f\u0131 geli\u015fimi) neden bu denli yayg\u0131n bir do\u011fum kusuru oldu\u011funu da a\u00e7\u0131kl\u0131yor.<\/p>\n<p>\u0130lk bak\u0131\u015fta, Turing\u2019in ismiyle ili\u015fkilendirilen programlama ve algoritma problemleri embriyonun nas\u0131l geli\u015fti\u011fi sorusuyla ba\u011flant\u0131s\u0131z g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcyor. Ger\u00e7ekte ikisi de onun, karma\u015f\u0131k ve ak\u0131ll\u0131 biyolojik makinelerin do\u011fada nas\u0131l olu\u015ftu\u011funa ili\u015fkin ilgisinin birer ifadesi. Bir anlamda o, bizzat hayat\u0131n in\u015fa etti\u011fi algoritmalar\u0131 ar\u0131yordu. Turing\u2019in 62 ya\u015f\u0131nda embriyoloji \u00fczerine ortaya att\u0131\u011f\u0131 teoriyi do\u011frulayan son ara\u015ft\u0131rman\u0131n bir\u00e7ok bilgisayar modellemesinin geli\u015ftirilmesine ihtiya\u00e7 duymas\u0131 da, bu \u00f6nemli biliminsan\u0131n\u0131n yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131na uygun d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcyor.
