Atomalt\u0131 \u00e7orba i\u00e7erisinde y\u00fczmekte olan temel par\u00e7ac\u0131klar, saniyenin k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck kesirlerinde birle\u015ferek daha \u00f6nce g\u00f6zlemlenmemi\u015f \u201cyeni\u201d par\u00e7ac\u0131klar olu\u015fturabilir. Kuark modelinin \u00f6ng\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc, fakat \u015fimdiye dek yakalanamam\u0131\u015f baryon ailesinden Xi_b&#8217;- ve Xi_b*- par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131 da bu metotla olu\u015fturuldu ve hassas dedekt\u00f6rler arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla detayl\u0131 incelemeler neticesinde tespit edildi.<\/p>\n<p>Baryonlar, \u00fc\u00e7 kuark\u0131n g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc etkile\u015fimlerle ba\u011fland\u0131\u011f\u0131 a\u011f\u0131r par\u00e7ac\u0131k ailesidir. Proton ve n\u00f6tronun da dahil oldu\u011fu aileye yeni giren Xi_b&#8217;- ve Xi_b*- par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131 da bir alt (beauty-bottom) kuark; bir acayip (strange) kuark ve bir a\u015fa\u011f\u0131 (down) kuark olmak \u00fczere \u00fc\u00e7 kuarktan meydana gelmi\u015ftir. Alt kuark\u0131n k\u00fctlesinden dolay\u0131 protondan 6 kat daha a\u011f\u0131r olan bu par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131 birbirinden ay\u0131ran \u00f6zellik ise spinlerinin y\u00f6nelimleridir. Xi_b&#8217;- durumunda, alt kuark di\u011fer iki kuark ile z\u0131t y\u00f6nelimli spinlere sahipken Xi_b*- durumunda ise spin y\u00f6nelimleri ayn\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n k\u00fctlelerini, olu\u015fum oranlar\u0131n\u0131, bozunum s\u00fcrelerini ve mekanizmalar\u0131n\u0131 titizlikle inceleyen ara\u015ft\u0131rma ekibi, bulgular\u0131n g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc etkile\u015fimlerin teorisi \u201ckuantum kromodinamik (QCD)\u201d ile uyumlu oldu\u011funa kanaat getirdi.
