E\u011fer matematik \u201c\u00f6\u011fretmemek\u201d istiyorsan\u0131z bunlar\u0131n hepsini de\u011fil, bir ikisini yarat\u0131n yeter.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eski y\u0131llarda anlam kaymas\u0131na \u00f6rnek olarak \u00e7ok s\u0131k verilen bir c\u00fcmle vard\u0131: \u201cAdam ol baban gibi e\u015fek olma.\u201d Padi\u015fah\u0131n \u00e7ocu\u011funu e\u011fiten \u00f6\u011fretmen k\u0131zg\u0131nl\u0131k an\u0131nda \u00e7ocu\u011fa, \u201cadam ol, baban gibi e\u015fek olma\u201d demi\u015f. \u00c7ocuk padi\u015fah babas\u0131na \u201csana e\u015fek dedi\u201d diye yeti\u015ftirince de huzura \u00e7a\u011fr\u0131lm\u0131\u015f. Ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak da \u201cezberci\u201d matematik \u00f6\u011fretimi\u2026 \u0130\u015fte bu s\u00fcreci ya\u015f\u0131yoruz. Bellekleri silme, bilin\u00e7leri yok etme, ortam\u0131 y\u00fczeyselle\u015ftirme kayganla\u015ft\u0131rma ve \u201c\u00e7a\u011fda\u015fla\u015fma\u201d s\u00fcrecini.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0S\u00fcrece geli\u015f <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Otuz y\u0131l \u00f6nce bir lisede matematik \u00f6\u011fretmenli\u011fine ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131mda ilk kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131m ger\u00e7ek \u00f6\u011frencinin matemati\u011fe kar\u015f\u0131 so\u011fuklu\u011fuydu. \u00d6\u011frenciler \u00fcrk\u00fcyorlard\u0131 matematikten. Nedenine de \u00f6nyarg\u0131 deniyordu. Sorgulamaya ba\u015flad\u0131m\u2026 \u00d6n yarg\u0131 m\u0131yd\u0131 \u00f6\u011frenme zorlu\u011funun nedeni ger\u00e7ekten? Nedeni \u201c\u00f6nyarg\u0131\u201d olarak belirlemek sorunu \u00f6\u011frenciye y\u00fcklemek de\u011fil miydi? \u00d6\u011frenme zorlu\u011fu ya\u015f\u0131yorsa, \u201c\u00f6n yarg\u0131lar\u0131n var o nedenle \u00f6\u011frenemiyorsun\u201d demek ne \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde e\u011fitimcilikle ba\u011fda\u015f\u0131rd\u0131? Kendi kendine mi olu\u015fuyordu \u00f6nyarg\u0131lar? H\u0131rs\u0131z\u0131n su\u00e7u yok muydu? Yani m\u00fcfredat\u0131n, yani \u00f6\u011fretim y\u00f6ntemlerinin, yani matemati\u011fin zorlu\u011funun ve de benim\u2026 Sorular, sorular, sorular\u2026 Zorlan\u0131yordum. Hem sorulara yan\u0131t bulmakta hem de \u00f6\u011fretmekte. Ama yine de \u015fansl\u0131yd\u0131m. Biraz formalite de olsa\u2026 Elimizdeki \u00f6\u011fretim program\u0131na (m\u00fcfredat) g\u00f6re konular\u0131 s\u0131ral\u0131yor, saatleri ayarl\u0131yor, imzal\u0131yor ve ar\u015fivlenmek \u00fczere okul y\u00f6netimine veriyorduk. Planlar tamam\u2026 Ders notlar\u0131na gelince, o y\u0131llarda elimizde \u00e7ok fazla kaynak yok. Temel kaynak, ders program\u0131na g\u00f6re yaz\u0131lm\u0131\u015f ders kitab\u0131. Ders notlar\u0131m\u0131, ders kitab\u0131n\u0131 esas alarak haz\u0131rl\u0131yordum. Asl\u0131nda haz\u0131rlad\u0131\u011f\u0131m notlar\u0131n kitaptan pek fark\u0131 yoktu. Kitab\u0131n \u00f6zeti gibi\u2026 Yani \u201cbana ait\u201d de\u011fil. Kitab\u0131n benzeri notlara ne gerek var demeye ba\u015flad\u0131m. Kitapta yaz\u0131lanlar\u0131 aktarmak \u00f6\u011fretmenlikse, mesle\u011fin de pek anlam\u0131 yoktu. Bu kez ders notlar\u0131n\u0131 yeniden haz\u0131rlamaya giri\u015ftim. Biraz g\u00f6zlem, biraz \u00f6\u011frencilik y\u0131llar\u0131m\u0131n kaynaklar\u0131, biraz matematik\u00e7iler dayan\u0131\u015fmas\u0131yla. \u0130yiydi\u2026 Ustala\u015f\u0131yordum. Ama \u00f6\u011fretmek yine de zordu. \u00d6\u011frencilerin \u00f6n \u00f6\u011frenmelerindeki yetersizlik zorluk yarat\u0131yordu. Kalabal\u0131k s\u0131n\u0131flarda seviyeyi tutturmak zordu. Yani lise mezunu olman\u0131n bir anlam\u0131 vard\u0131. Ama bu durum h\u0131zla de\u011fi\u015fmeye ba\u015flad\u0131. Lise diplomas\u0131 \u201cokumu\u015f\u201d olmak i\u00e7in yetmez oldu. \u00d6\u011frenci \u00fcniversite okumak zorundayd\u0131. \u00dcniversiteye haz\u0131rl\u0131k r\u00fczg\u00e2r\u0131 esmeye ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Matematik \u00f6\u011fretimi i\u00e7in de; \u201c\u00dcniversite s\u0131nav\u0131nda ispat m\u0131 soracaklar, k\u0131sa yolu yok mu?\u201d d\u00f6nemi&#8230; Bir s\u00fcre daha \u00f6\u011frenciyi matematiksel d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmeyi \u00f6\u011frenmenin erdemine, yarar\u0131na ikna etmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131k. Ama giderek artan r\u00fczg\u00e2rla bir piyasala\u015fma ba\u015flad\u0131 ki, ikna da yetmez oldu. Ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7 hik\u00e2yesi \u00f6zetle b\u00f6yle.<\/p>\n<p>O g\u00fcnden sonra bu i\u015fin alt\u0131ndan nas\u0131l kalkaca\u011f\u0131 tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lmaya ba\u015fland\u0131. Bileniyle, bilmeyeniyle\u2026 Bu kadar matemati\u011fe ne gerek var denildi, m\u00fcfredatla oynanmaya ba\u015fland\u0131! E\u011fitim modeli yanl\u0131\u015f dendi, ba\u015fka \u00fclkelerin modellerinde \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm arand\u0131\u2026 Negatif e\u011fimli bir karma\u015fa ba\u015flad\u0131. Bu kitaplar\u0131n baz\u0131lar\u0131nda elipsin \u00e7evre uzunlu\u011fu {\u00c7 = \u03c0(a + b)} bile hesapland\u0131. Bin y\u0131ld\u0131r yap\u0131lamayan\u2026 Birileri, analitik geometride determinant (!) ile \u00fc\u00e7genin alan\u0131n\u0131 hesaplad\u0131. Birisi, \u201c\u00f6yle bir geometri buldum ki devleti bunla y\u00f6netirsiniz, her sorunu \u00e7\u00f6zersiniz\u201d dedi televizyonlara \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. Yapt\u0131 da. \u00d6rne\u011fin 10 y\u0131l \u00f6nceye dek az bulunan matematik kitaplar\u0131 bug\u00fcn olduk\u00e7a fazla. Ya da Eski\u015fehir Anadolu \u00dcniversite\u2019sinin \u201cMatematik Noktas\u0131\u201d ad\u0131yla a\u00e7t\u0131\u011f\u0131 sergi ki san\u0131yorum onun \u00f6rne\u011fi de d\u00fcnyada az. Bunlar yeterince de\u011fer g\u00f6rd\u00fc m\u00fc diye sorarsan\u0131z? Yan\u0131t\u0131m hay\u0131r. Bunlar durumdan vazife \u00e7\u0131karan birilerinin \u201cgelin ata binmi\u015f, ya nasip demi\u015f\u201d \u00f6rne\u011fi \u00e7abalar\u0131. Kendi aralar\u0131nda elektronik ortamda ba\u011f kuran hatta dernek kuran matematik\u00e7iler, e\u011fitimciler\u2026 Yak\u0131n zamanda posta adresime bir ileti d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. Bunlar \u00f6nemli olumluluklar. \u00d6nemli katk\u0131lar. Ancak bu katk\u0131lar do\u011frudan kitle e\u011fitiminden \u00e7ok, matemati\u011fe ilgisi olanlara y\u00f6nelik. Yani merakl\u0131s\u0131na! Ama elbette matematik s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 art\u0131rmas\u0131 yan\u0131yla kitlesel yan\u0131 da var. Do\u011frudan okullarda uygulanan matematik \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 konusunda da duyarl\u0131 bir\u00e7ok matematik \u00f6\u011fretmeninin \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 oldu\u011fu ge\u00e7e\u011fini de biliyorum.<\/p>\n<p>Bu olumsuz ortam ve bu olumlu \u00e7abalar s\u00fcrerken olmas\u0131 gereken oldu\u2026 Milli E\u011fitim Bakanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u015fe devlet kat\u0131nda el att\u0131. Ama nas\u0131l? Bu soruya ge\u00e7meden \u00f6nce matematik \u00f6\u011fretiminin yak\u0131n tarihten bu yana de\u011fi\u015fim seyrini \u00f6zetleyelim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matematik \u00f6\u011fretiminin de\u011fi\u015fim seyri<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1960 l\u0131 y\u0131llarda d\u00fcnya e\u011fitim sisteminde \u201cmodern matematik ve fen programlar\u0131\u201d geli\u015ftirildi. Bu geli\u015fmeye ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak da T\u00fcrkiye, 1967\u20131968 y\u0131l\u0131nda bu uygulamaya ge\u00e7ti. Ama bu \u00f6nemli de\u011fi\u015fiklik t\u00fcm okullarda ayn\u0131 anda uygulanmad\u0131. \u00d6nce baz\u0131 liselerde pilot uygulama ad\u0131 alt\u0131nda denendi. Aksamalar ve gerekli iyile\u015ftirmeler yap\u0131larak 1976\u20131977 \u00f6\u011fretim y\u0131l\u0131nda da \u00fclke genelinde t\u00fcm okullarda \u201cmodern matematik program\u0131\u201d ad\u0131 alt\u0131nda uygulanmaya ba\u015fland\u0131. \u00d6\u011fretmenlere modern matematik kurslar\u0131 verildi ve \u00f6\u011fretmen yeti\u015ftirme bu programa g\u00f6re yeniden d\u00fczenlendi. Program i\u00e7eri\u011finde matematik dersi ad\u0131 alt\u0131nda, geometri ve analitik geometri konular\u0131 yer ald\u0131. Ancak eski uygulamalardan bilinir ki bu uygulamada geometri konular\u0131 iyi i\u015flenemiyordu. Konu yo\u011funlu\u011funun \u00fcstesinden gelmek isteyen bir\u00e7ok \u00f6\u011fretmen, geometri derslerini \u201ckural ver, soru \u00e7\u00f6z\u201d derekesine indirgemek zorunlulu\u011funda kal\u0131yordu.
