Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, 2000\u2019li y\u0131llar\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda g\u00f6nderilen y\u00f6r\u00fcnge arac\u0131ndan gelen veriler do\u011frultusunda, Mars\u2019\u0131n y\u00fczeyinde ak\u0131\u015fkan halde s\u0131v\u0131 su bulundu\u011funu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyor.<\/p>\n<p>Curiosity\u2019den bildi\u011fimiz gibi Mars, eskiden D\u00fcnya gibi y\u00fczey suyuna ve su d\u00f6ng\u00fcs\u00fcne sahip bir gezegendi. Sonras\u0131nda yap\u0131lan \u00e7e\u015fitli g\u00f6zlemlerle Mars\u2019\u0131n y\u00fczeyinde art\u0131k s\u0131v\u0131 halde su bulunmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyordu. Fakat anlad\u0131k ki Mars, adland\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z gibi k\u0131z\u0131l bir \u00e7\u00f6l de\u011fil, y\u00fczeyinde su bulunduran ve ya\u015fam\u0131n izlerini vaat eden bir gezegen.<\/p>\n<p>Mars\u2019\u0131n Hale Kraterinde bulunan ve 100 m uzunlu\u011funa ula\u015fabilen koyu izler, tuzlu suyun ak\u0131\u015f\u0131yla olu\u015fuyor. Gezegenin s\u0131cak oldu\u011fu zamanlarda ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131p, s\u0131cakl\u0131k d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fck\u00e7e h\u0131zla kayboluyorlar.<\/p>\n<p>G\u00f6zlemlerimiz ne yaz\u0131k ki son derece s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131. Mars Reconnasissance adl\u0131 y\u00f6r\u00fcnge arac\u0131, Mars\u2019\u0131n y\u00fczeyinin spektroskopik olarak haritalanmas\u0131n\u0131 yap\u0131yor. Piksel ba\u015f\u0131na 18 metrelik bir \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fcrl\u00fc\u011fe sahip. Ba\u015fka bir s\u0131n\u0131rlama ise g\u00f6zlem yapabildi\u011fimiz saatler. Y\u00f6r\u00fcnge arac\u0131n\u0131n, enerjisini G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019ten sa\u011flamas\u0131 ve ak\u0131\u015f\u0131n en yo\u011fun oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen saat olan sabah saatlerinde arac\u0131n G\u00fcne\u015f \u0131\u015f\u0131nlar\u0131ndan mahrum kal\u0131yor olu\u015fu nedeniyle g\u00f6zlem yap\u0131lam\u0131yor. Elimizdeki verileri edindi\u011fimiz g\u00f6zlemler ise, Mars saati ile 15.00 saatlerine tekab\u00fcl ediyor.<\/p>\n<p>G\u00f6zlemlenen, asl\u0131nda suyun do\u011frudan kendisi de\u011fil. Fakat aday modeller d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fcnde, tuz ak\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayabilecek tek modelin ak\u0131\u015fkan su modeli oldu\u011fu ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yor. Di\u011fer adaylar olan kuru buz, Mars r\u00fczg\u00e2rlar\u0131 ve toz f\u0131rt\u0131nalar\u0131, s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131n bunlar i\u00e7in y\u00fcksek olmas\u0131 nedeniyle ge\u00e7erliliklerini yitiriyor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canl\u0131l\u0131k olabilir mi?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mars\u2019ta bulundu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen su miktar\u0131 bakterilerin ya\u015famas\u0131 i\u00e7in yeterli ve bu da bizi Mars\u2019\u0131n ya\u015fam bar\u0131nd\u0131r\u0131p bar\u0131nd\u0131rmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 sorusunu sormaya itiyor. Ne yaz\u0131k ki bu sorunun cevab\u0131n\u0131 hen\u00fcz bilmiyoruz.<\/p>\n<p>Fakat bildi\u011fimiz \u015fu ki, bu tuzlar\u0131n bulundu\u011fu s\u0131v\u0131, i\u00e7indeki tuz deri\u015fimine g\u00f6re -40, -60\u00a0 derecelere kadar s\u0131v\u0131 halde bulunabiliyor. Suyun ak\u0131\u015f\u0131na y\u00fczey s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 -23 \u2013 0 derece aras\u0131ndayken ba\u015fl\u0131yor olmas\u0131, suyun da bu derecede olmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fi anlam\u0131na gelmiyor.<\/p>\n<p>Baz\u0131 kaynaklara g\u00f6re suyun saf de\u011fil de perklorit bak\u0131m\u0131ndan zengin olu\u015fu bildi\u011fimiz anlamda canl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 desteklemiyor olabilir. Mars y\u00fczeyinde bulunan su, bizim denizlerimizden tuz bak\u0131m\u0131ndan 5 kat daha yo\u011fun. Fakat perklorit deri\u015fiminin daha az oldu\u011fu sularda ya\u015fam olma ihtimali yok de\u011fil. Bu tuzlu sular\u0131 i\u00e7eren b\u00f6lgelerin ke\u015ffi, ileride yap\u0131lacak astrobiyoloji \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131na konu olaca\u011f\u0131 gibi Mars\u2019\u0131n su d\u00f6ng\u00fcs\u00fcne de \u0131\u015f\u0131k tutacakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>NASA\u2019n\u0131n yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 sunumda kullan\u0131lan \u015fekillerden biri olan g\u00f6rselde de g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc gibi, suyun saf de\u011fil de perklorit bak\u0131m\u0131ndan zengin olu\u015fu hem so\u011fuk y\u00f6n\u00fcnde hem de s\u0131cak y\u00f6n\u00fcnde s\u0131v\u0131 suyun sabitli\u011fini artt\u0131r\u0131yor.<\/p>\n<p>B\u00f6lgenin Mars \u00fczerinde olabilecek bir\u00e7ok habitattan yaln\u0131zca en kolay g\u00f6zlemlenebilir olan\u0131 olmas\u0131 ihtimalini de unutmamak gerek. K\u0131z\u0131l gezegen, gelecekte kar\u015f\u0131m\u0131za \u00e7\u0131kabilecek bir\u00e7ok ya\u015fanabilir b\u00f6lge i\u00e7erme olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131yor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yeni olan ne?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mars\u2019\u0131n y\u00fczeyinde perklorit bulundu\u011fu uzun zamand\u0131r biliniyordu. Hem Phoneix hem de Curiosity, gezegenin topra\u011f\u0131nda perklorit bulmu\u015ftu, fakat bu kez bulunan, farkl\u0131 bir b\u00f6lgede ve bile\u015fi\u011fin suda \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcnm\u00fc\u015f formu.<\/p>\n<p>Yama\u00e7lardan akan bir s\u0131v\u0131 oldu\u011fu da birka\u00e7 y\u0131ld\u0131r bilinen bir ger\u00e7ekti, fakat\u00a0 bunlar \u201cyama\u00e7lardan akan s\u0131v\u0131n\u0131n\u201d su oldu\u011funu g\u00f6stermiyordu.
