Olay ufkunun geni\u015fli\u011fi yaln\u0131zca 50 mikro ark saniye (uzunluk\/a\u00e7\u0131 birimi, bir derecenin 3600\u2019de 1\u2019i) gibi g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcyor. D\u00fcnyadan elde edebilece\u011fimiz en y\u00fcksek a\u00e7\u0131sal \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fcrl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc sa\u011flamak i\u00e7in, EHT, \u00c7ok Uzun Bazal Giri\u015fim\u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcm (Very Long Baseline \u0130nterferometry &#8211; VLBI) olarak bilinen bir teknik kullan\u0131yor. Astronomlar, D\u00fcnyan\u0131n farkl\u0131 b\u00f6lgelerinden ayn\u0131 hedefi g\u00f6zlemliyor, verileri kaydediyor ve bu verileri bir s\u00fcper bilgisayar yard\u0131m\u0131yla birle\u015ftirerek tek bir g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fc olu\u015fturuyorlar. Yeni s\u00fcper bilgisayar algoritmalar\u0131 kullanarak kara deli\u011fin olay ufkunun etraf\u0131ndaki maddelerin hareketlerini sim\u00fcle ettiler ve t\u00fcm sim\u00fclasyonlarda kara deli\u011fin toplanma ak\u0131\u015f\u0131na kap\u0131lan \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131n \u00fczerinde bir \u201cg\u00f6lge\u201d bulundu\u011funu saptad\u0131lar.<\/p>\n<p>Washington \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nden fizik\u00e7i James Bardeen kara delik g\u00f6lgesinin varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 1973\u2019te \u00f6ng\u00f6rm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. Tan\u0131m gere\u011fi, olay ufkunu ge\u00e7en herhangi \u0131\u015f\u0131k asla geri d\u00f6nemez. Bardeen, ufkun d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda, bir fotonun kara deli\u011fe y\u00f6r\u00fcngelenece\u011fi noktay\u0131 belirledi. E\u011fer bir \u0131\u015f\u0131n bu y\u00f6r\u00fcngeden i\u00e7eri girerse, sonsuza kadar kap\u0131l\u0131r ve olay ufkundan i\u00e7eriye sarmallanarak \u00e7ekilir.<\/p>\n<p>Bir kara deli\u011fin olay ufkunda meydana gelen \u0131\u015f\u0131k \u0131\u015funlar\u0131, o y\u00f6r\u00fcnge \u00fczerinde kalmaya devam ederlerse kara delikten ka\u00e7abilirler. Fakat, hareket y\u00f6nleri neredeyse tamamen d\u0131\u015far\u0131ya do\u011fru olmal\u0131d\u0131r, yoksa bu t\u00fcr \u0131\u015f\u0131klar\u0131nbile kara deli\u011fin k\u00fctle \u00e7ekimi etkisine kap\u0131lma olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 vard\u0131r. Bu karanl\u0131k noktaya \u201ckara deli\u011fin g\u00f6lgesi\u201d ad\u0131 verilir. G\u00f6lgelerin g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcr b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fckleri D\u00fcnya\u2019datahmin edildi\u011fi gibi \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131n y\u00f6r\u00fcngesinden biraz daha b\u00fcy\u00fck g\u00f6r\u00fcnecektir.Bu durumun nedeni, k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimsel merceklemeden dolay\u0131 g\u00f6lgenin g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fcn daha b\u00fcy\u00fck g\u00f6r\u00fcnmesidir.<\/p>\n<p>EHT \u015fimdi bu g\u00f6lgeyi ve kara deliklerin \u00f6zelliklerini g\u00f6zlemlemek i\u00e7in haz\u0131r. 2007 ve 2009\u2019daki, Sagittarius A*\u2019y\u0131 ve Virgo (M87 olarak da bilinir) galaksisinde bulunan bir ba\u015fka s\u00fcper k\u00fctleli kara deli\u011fi hedefleyen g\u00f6zlemler teknolojik yakla\u015f\u0131mlar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n g\u00fcvenilir oldu\u011funu do\u011frulad\u0131 ve nihai bilimsel amac\u0131na ula\u015fabilir oldu\u011funu g\u00f6sterdi. Bu eski erken d\u00f6nem g\u00f6zlemler Hawai, Arizona ve Kaliforniya\u2019da birbirlerine koordineli bir bi\u00e7imde yap\u0131ld\u0131.G\u00f6zlemlerin amac\u0131, iki kaynaktaki 1,3 mm dalga boyundaki radyo yay\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n geni\u015fli\u011fini (yani ne kadar geni\u015f bir alana yay\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131)\u00f6l\u00e7mekti. Bu \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmlerden baz\u0131lar\u0131 kara delikleri \u00f6yle h\u0131zl\u0131 d\u00f6nen cisimler olarak tasvir ediyor ki, ufuklar beraberinde tekilli\u011fi a\u00e7\u0131\u011fa \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131yor, di\u011fer \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmlere g\u00f6re ise kara delik bir olay ufkuna sahip de\u011fil.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7\u0131plak tekillikler, kara deliklerin aksine, \u00e7o\u011funlukla teorik d\u00fczeyde kald\u0131lar; kimse onlar\u0131n olu\u015fumlar\u0131n\u0131 anlatacak ger\u00e7ek bir tarifle \u00e7\u0131k\u0131p gelmedi.
