B\u00f6ylece 5,5 y\u0131ld\u0131r s\u00fcrekli tamamland\u0131 denilip durulan insan genomunun s\u0131ralanmas\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lmas\u0131, ya da daha basit anlat\u0131mla harf diziliminin tespit edilmesi i\u015flemi bir ay kadar \u00f6nce bitirilmi\u015f oldu. Daha da \u00f6tesi, \u015fimdilik ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lan bilgi ve bulgular, \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lacak olanlar\u0131n hen\u00fcz \u00e7ok k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir k\u0131sm\u0131. Uluslararas\u0131 \u0130nsan Genomu Konsorsiyomu iki sene \u00f6nce, 2004\u2019de, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Nature<\/i> dergisinde yay\u0131nlad\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir ba\u015fka \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131nda gen say\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 daha da a\u015fa\u011f\u0131 \u00e7ekti. Say\u0131 20-25 bine indi. Son a\u00e7\u0131klamalara g\u00f6re, insan gen say\u0131s\u0131 19 bini tespit edilen ve 2 bin kadar\u0131 da tahmin edilen olmak \u00fczere 21-22 bin civar\u0131nda. Bu yeni durum her \u015feyi alt \u00fcst etti. Ne \u201cbir gen bir protein\u201d tezi kald\u0131, ne de genlerin tanr\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131. <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: TR;\">Bilindi\u011fi gibi DNA, Adenin, Timin, Guanin ve Sitozin ad\u0131 verilen n\u00fckletid ya da bazlar\u0131n ba\u015fka kimyasal bile\u015fiklerle birle\u015ferek art arda s\u0131ralanmas\u0131ndan olu\u015fmu\u015ftur. Bu bazlar k\u0131saca s\u0131ras\u0131yla A, T, G ve C harfleriyle g\u00f6sterilir. \u0130nsanda b\u00f6yle art arda s\u0131ralanm\u0131\u015f 2 milyar 851 milyon harf (baz) vard\u0131r. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: TR;\">\u0130nsan dahil canl\u0131 organizmalardaki fonksiyonlar\u0131n yerine getirilmesinde protein ve enzimler \u00e7ok \u00f6nemli roller \u00fcstlenirler. Bu protein ve enzimler DNA \u00fczerindeki baz\u0131 dizilimlere g\u00f6re kodlan\u0131p \u00fcretilirler. Ancak -\u015fimdiki bilgilerimize g\u00f6re- DNA diziliminin t\u00fcm\u00fc de\u011fil k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir k\u0131sm\u0131 RNA ve protein \u00fcretimine kat\u0131l\u0131r. \u0130\u015fte DNA\u2019n\u0131n, RNA ve protein \u00fcretiminde rol alan belli harf dizilimlerine gen ad\u0131 verilir. Bir protein yap\u0131laca\u011f\u0131 zaman DNA \u00fczerindeki genin harf dizilimi \u00f6rnek al\u0131narak onun benzer bir RNA kopya dizilimi \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131l\u0131r. K\u0131sacas\u0131, DNA\u2019daki genden RNA, RNA\u2019dan da protein yap\u0131l\u0131r. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: TR;\">Ancak, mRNA yap\u0131l\u0131rken, DNA \u00fczerindeki genin harf dizilimi ba\u015ftan sona t\u00fcm\u00fcyle okunmaz. Okuma atlana atlana gider.
