Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar bu cihaz\u0131, minyat\u00fcr ve basit bir yap\u0131s\u0131 olan sens\u00f6r olarak kullanmak amac\u0131yla geli\u015ftirdiler.<\/p>\n<p>ETH Zurich ve Potsdam\u2019daki Kolloid ve Aray\u00fczler Max Planck Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc\u2019nden malzeme bilimi ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar\u0131, karbondioksit oran\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6l\u00e7en yeni tip bir sens\u00f6r geli\u015ftirdi. Bu yeni tipin di\u011fer sens\u00f6rlerden fark\u0131, \u00e7ok daha k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck ve daha basit bir yap\u0131da olmas\u0131; ayr\u0131ca bu sens\u00f6r\u00fcn di\u011ferlerinden \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma bi\u00e7imi var ve \u00e7ok daha az enerji gerektiriyor. Bu yeni sens\u00f6r karbondioksit molek\u00fclleriyle etkile\u015ferek ortamdaki karbondioksit yo\u011funlu\u011funa g\u00f6re iletkenli\u011fini de\u011fi\u015ftiren bir kompozit materyale sahip. ETH ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar\u0131, elektriksel diren\u00e7 \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcm\u00fc sayesinde karbondioksit konsantrasyonunu belirleyen bir sens\u00f6r \u00e7ipi olu\u015fturdular. Bu kompozit materyal zincir t\u00fcr\u00fc bir polimer ve ak\u0131\u015fkan ayn\u0131 zamanda oda s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131nda iletken olan, iyonik likit olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan bir \u00e7e\u015fit tuzdan olu\u015fuyor. Fakat [poli(iyoniklikit)ler] (PIL) \u015feklinde isimlendirilen polimerler asl\u0131nda kat\u0131 olarak bulunuyor, dolay\u0131s\u0131yla isimlendirme bizi yanl\u0131\u015f y\u00f6nlendirebilir.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00fcnya \u00e7ap\u0131nda ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar PIL\u2019i farkl\u0131 kullan\u0131m ama\u00e7lar\u0131yla inceliyorlar. Bulunan farkl\u0131 uygulama alanlar\u0131ndan baz\u0131lar\u0131 batarya ve karbondioksit deposu. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc PIL\u2019in karbondioksit absorbe eden bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma yap\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n oldu\u011funu biliyoruz. \u201cD\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fck ki biz bu geli\u015fmeden faydalanarak havadaki karbondioksit yo\u011funlu\u011fu hakk\u0131nda bilgi sa\u011flayacak yeni \u00e7e\u015fit bir gaz sens\u00f6r\u00fc geli\u015ftirebiliriz\u201d diyor \u00c7ok Fonksiyonlu Malzemeler Laboratuvar\u0131\u2019nda \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan doktara \u00f6\u011frencisi Christoph Willa. Willa ve laboratuvardaki tak\u0131m lideri Dorota Koziej, polimerleri, karbondioksitle etkile\u015fime girdi\u011fi bilinen belirli inorganik nanopartik\u00fcllerle birle\u015ftirerek ba\u015far\u0131ya ula\u015ft\u0131lar. Deneyler sonucunda ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, istenen bile\u015fen maddeyi elde ettiler. \u201cAyr\u0131 ayr\u0131 ne polimerler ne de nano partik\u00fcller elektri\u011fi iletir, fakat biz ikisini belli oranda birle\u015ftirdi\u011fimizde iletkenlik h\u0131zla artt\u0131\u201d diyor Willa.<\/p>\n<p>Biliminsanlar\u0131n\u0131 \u015fa\u015f\u0131rtan sadece bu de\u011fil. Kompozit materyalin iletkenli\u011finin oda s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131nda karbondioksite ba\u011fl\u0131 oldu\u011fu bilgisi de onlar\u0131 \u015fa\u015f\u0131rtt\u0131. \u201cBu zamana kadar kimyasal tepkimele diren\u00e7li materyaller, bu \u00f6zellikleri birka\u00e7 y\u00fcz santigrat derecede g\u00f6sterdiler\u201d diye a\u00e7\u0131kl\u0131yor Koziej. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla, bu materyalden yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f mevcut sens\u00f6rler y\u00fcksek \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma s\u0131cakl\u0131klar\u0131na \u0131s\u0131t\u0131lmak zorunda. Yeni kompozit materyal bu uygulay\u0131 \u00f6nemli \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde kolayla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131yor. Asl\u0131nda iletkenlikte, karbondioksite ba\u011fl\u0131 de\u011fi\u015fiminin nas\u0131l olu\u015ftu\u011fu net olarak a\u00e7\u0131klanabilmi\u015f de\u011fil. Buna ra\u011fmen, ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar karbondioksit varl\u0131\u011f\u0131nda uyar\u0131lan kimyasal de\u011fi\u015fikli\u011fin belirtilerini g\u00f6zlemlemi\u015f ve en \u00f6nemlisi bu de\u011fi\u015fim nanopartik\u00fcl ve polimer aray\u00fcz\u00fcnde nanometre \u00f6l\u00e7ekli ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmi\u015ftir. \u201cKarbondioksitin materyaldeki y\u00fckl\u00fc par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n hareketini etkiledi\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyoruz\u201d diyor Koziej.<\/p>\n<p>Bu yeni sens\u00f6r\u00fcn yard\u0131m\u0131yla, biliminsanlar\u0131 karbondioksit yo\u011funlu\u011funu geni\u015f bir yelpazede \u00f6l\u00e7ebilmekte, yery\u00fcz\u00fc atmosferindeki 0, 04 y\u00fczde hacimden 0, 25 y\u00fczde hacime kadar. Karbondioksit alg\u0131layan di\u011fer aletler optik sinyali \u00f6l\u00e7er ve karbondioksitin k\u0131z\u0131l\u00f6tesi \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131 emmesinden faydalan\u0131r.
