Harvard\u2019\u0131n Princeton ayar\u0131nda teklif yapmamas\u0131n\u0131n nedenini ise Putnam Matematik Yar\u0131\u015fmas\u0131\u2019ndaki ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131na ba\u011fl\u0131yordu. Synge ve di\u011fer profes\u00f6rlerinin cesaretlendirmesi ve Lefschetz\u2019in sundu\u011fu e\u015fsiz burs teklifi kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda sonunda Princeton\u2019da karar k\u0131ld\u0131.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oyun Teorisi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eyl\u00fcl 1948\u2019de Princeton\u2019a girdikten sonra topoloji, cebirsel geometri, oyun teorisi, mant\u0131k gibi saf matemati\u011fin alanlar\u0131na ilgi duymaya ba\u015flad\u0131. Ancak dersleri takip etmiyordu. Dersleri takip etmemek \u015f\u00f6yle dursun, kitaptan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmak da Nash i\u00e7in uygun de\u011fildi. \u0130kinci elden \u00f6\u011frenilmi\u015f bir matematik yerine konulara bizzat katk\u0131 yapaca\u011f\u0131 bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma y\u00f6ntemini benimsemi\u015fti.
