Epigenom, genlerin farkl\u0131 h\u00fccre tiplerinde nas\u0131l a\u00e7\u0131l\u0131p kapand\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 inceleyen bilim dal\u0131.<br \/>\nABD Ulusal Sa\u011fl\u0131k Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc Fonu Epigenomik Program\u0131n\u0131n (NIH) destekledi\u011fi ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, 100\u2019den fazla doku ve h\u00fccrenin epigenomunu haritalayarak, genomun hangi k\u0131s\u0131mlar\u0131n\u0131n bu h\u00fccre ve dokular\u0131n yap\u0131m\u0131nda kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ortaya koydu. Bu veriler ayn\u0131 zamanda biyomedikal ara\u015ft\u0131rma grubunda da bulunmaktad\u0131r, ayr\u0131ca Ulusal Biyoteknoloji Bilgi Merkezi web sitesinde de mevcuttur.<br \/>\nNIH Y\u00f6neticisi Francis Collins\u2019e g\u00f6re, \u201cBu ara\u015ft\u0131rma;  bir insan\u0131n DNA\u2019s\u0131ndaki 3 milyar harf dizisinin; h\u00fccre tiplerine ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak, nas\u0131l farkl\u0131 molek\u00fcler aktivitede bulundu\u011fu hakk\u0131nda bilgi verdi\u011fini g\u00f6steren b\u00fcy\u00fck bir ad\u0131md\u0131r. Ola\u011fan\u00fcst\u00fc bir ekip taraf\u0131ndan \u00fcretilen zengin yay\u0131nlar, h\u0131zla b\u00fcy\u00fcyen epigenomik alan\u0131na \u00e7ok g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir ivme kazand\u0131rd\u0131.\u201d<br \/>\nNIH kapsam\u0131ndaki ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar epigenom haritas\u0131n\u0131n tan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 Nature dergisinde yay\u0131mlad\u0131lar. Bu haritalar\u0131n insan biyolojisi \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmak i\u00e7in nas\u0131l kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 anlatan 20\u2019den fazla makale Nature ve benzeri dergilerde yay\u0131mland\u0131.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Epigenomi\u011fi anlamak<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n\u0130nsan v\u00fccudundaki neredeyse b\u00fct\u00fcn h\u00fccreler, farkl\u0131 h\u00fccre ve dokular\u0131 yapmak i\u00e7in gerekli bilgiyi i\u00e7eren ayn\u0131 genoma sahiptir. Farkl\u0131 tipteki h\u00fccrelerin geli\u015fimi s\u0131ras\u0131nda, reg\u00fclat\u00f6r proteinler genleri a\u00e7\u0131p kapar; b\u00f6ylece her h\u00fccrenin epigenomu hakk\u0131nda kimyasal bir imza olu\u015fturur. Epigenomik Program ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar\u0131, farkl\u0131 h\u00fccre tiplerindeki bu epigenomik imzalar\u0131 ve aralar\u0131ndaki farklar\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131rd\u0131. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar sonras\u0131nda elde edilen bilgiler, genom ve epigenomdaki de\u011fi\u015fikliklerin Alzheimer, kanser, ast\u0131m, fetal b\u00fcy\u00fcme anormallikleri gibi durumlara neden oldu\u011funu anlamam\u0131za yard\u0131mc\u0131 oldu. <\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Epigenomik verilerin de\u011feri<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nAra\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, farkl\u0131 h\u00fccre tiplerinden verileri al\u0131p bunlar\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131rabilir. Kaliforniya \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nden Bing Reng, \u201cBug\u00fcnlerde, insan genomunu sekanslamak h\u0131zl\u0131 ve ucuz bir \u015fekilde yap\u0131labilirken, genomun terc\u00fcme edilmesi i\u00e7in m\u00fccadeleye devam edilmektedir. Bu 111 epigenom haritas\u0131, farkl\u0131 h\u00fccre ve dokulardaki her DNA par\u00e7as\u0131n\u0131n anlam\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7\u00f6zmemize yard\u0131mc\u0131 olan bir kelime kitab\u0131d\u0131r\u201d diyor.<br \/>\nNIH\u2019in bir altbiriminde tak\u0131m lideri olarak g\u00f6rev yapan Lisa Helbling Chadwick, \u201cBu tarihe kadar,  insan h\u00fccre ve dokular\u0131ndan al\u0131nan bu datalar \u00e7ok kapsaml\u0131 bir katalog olu\u015fturmu\u015ftur. Bu koordineli \u00e7aba, d\u00fczg\u00fcn veri i\u015fleme ile birlikte, ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lara t\u00fcm veri seti \u00fczerinden do\u011frudan kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131rma yapma konusunda epey kolayl\u0131klar sa\u011flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u201d de\u011ferlendirmesinde bulunuyor.<br \/>\nNIH  Koordinat\u00f6r\u00fc John Saterlee, \u201cEpigenom hakk\u0131nda yay\u0131mlanan son zamanlardaki makalelerle birlikte, program taraf\u0131ndan da desteklenen 88 projenin \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, geli\u015fmi\u015f epigenomik teknikler ileri s\u00fcrd\u00fc.
