Nas\u0131l ki 150 y\u0131l \u00f6nce elektrik ve manyetizman\u0131n birle\u015ftirilmesinden sonra elektronik \u00e7a\u011fda ya\u015famaya ba\u015flad\u0131k, belki de ileride bir gravitik (k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimsel) \u00e7a\u011fda ya\u015fayaca\u011f\u0131z. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kuantum k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim, genel g\u00f6relilik kuram\u0131 ile kuantum fizi\u011finin birle\u015ftirileme \u00e7abas\u0131d\u0131r. Bu nedenle \u201cHer \u015eeyin Teorisi\u201d ad\u0131n\u0131 da al\u0131r, \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc evrendeki d\u00f6rt temel kuvvetten sadece k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimi bir kuantum kuram\u0131 olarak ortaya konamad\u0131. Fizi\u011fin en \u00f6nemli u\u011fra\u015flar\u0131ndan biri de budur. Einstein genel g\u00f6relilik kuram\u0131n\u0131 tamamlad\u0131\u011f\u0131 1917\u2019den neredeyse \u00f6ld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc g\u00fcne kadar bununla u\u011fra\u015ft\u0131 ama ba\u015faramad\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Newton k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimini ke\u015ffetti\u011finde, bunu iki cismi birbirini \u201can\u0131nda uzaktan etkileyen bir kuvvet\u201d olarak tarif etti ve kayna\u011f\u0131n\u0131n ne oldu\u011funu bilmedi\u011fini s\u00f6yledi. Cisimlerin birbirlerini uzaktan etkilemesi 17. y\u00fczy\u0131l i\u00e7in hayal bile edilemeyecek bir kavramd\u0131. Newton\u2019a \u00e7ok itirazlar geldi, hatta \u201cvoodoo fizi\u011fi yapmakla\u201d su\u00e7land\u0131. Ama modeli i\u015fliyordu. Newton\u2019\u0131n hem yery\u00fcz\u00fcnde hem de g\u00f6zky\u00fcz\u00fcndeki b\u00fct\u00fcn hareketi bu k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim yasas\u0131yla a\u00e7\u0131klamas\u0131 itirazlar\u0131 k\u0131sa s\u00fcrede susturdu ve 200 y\u00fczy\u0131l boyunca Newton b\u00fcy\u00fck bir otorite oldu. G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde bile e\u011fer aya gitmek isterseniz Newton fizi\u011fi yeterli olur. Newton fizi\u011fi h\u00e2l\u00e2 i\u015fe yaramaktad\u0131r ve belli bir hata pay\u0131 i\u00e7inde \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fcleri do\u011fru \u00e7\u0131kmaktad\u0131r. Ancak GPS gibi daha hassas aletler kullanmak istersek Newton fizi\u011finin hata pay\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fcr ve Einstein\u2019\u0131n k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuram\u0131n\u0131 kullanmak zorunda kal\u0131r\u0131z. Einstein k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimin di\u011fer kuvvetler gibi bir kuvvet olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, uzayzaman b\u00fck\u00fclmesinin sonucu oldu\u011funu g\u00f6sterdi. Genel g\u00f6relili\u011fe g\u00f6re, gezegenlerin g\u00fcne\u015f etraf\u0131nda d\u00f6nmelerinin nedeni, uzayzaman\u0131n i\u00e7erisindeki k\u00fctle ve enerjinin da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m\u0131 nedeniyle b\u00fck\u00fclm\u00fc\u015f olmas\u0131d\u0131r. K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck mesafelerde bu iki kuram da ayn\u0131 sonucu verir, ama \u201ckuvvet\u201d kavram\u0131na yakla\u015f\u0131mlar\u0131 \u00e7ok farkl\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>\u00d6te yandan, Newton\u2019\u0131n kuvvet kavram\u0131 zamanla ba\u015fka kuvvetlerin varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ortaya \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131. Newton\u2019dan yakla\u015f\u0131k 100 y\u0131l sonra Coulomb, elektrik kuvvetini de t\u0131pk\u0131 Newton\u2019\u0131n tarif etti\u011fi gibi a\u00e7\u0131klad\u0131. Coulomb kuvvetinde birbirini \u00e7eken iki y\u00fckl\u00fc cisim aras\u0131ndaki elektrik kuvvetinin b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc, y\u00fcklerle do\u011fru orant\u0131l\u0131, aralar\u0131ndaki mesafenin karesiyle ters orant\u0131l\u0131d\u0131r. T\u0131pk\u0131 Newton\u2019da oldu\u011fu gibi bu kuvvet de an\u0131nda uzaktan etkileyen bir kuvvettir. Daha sonra 20. y\u00fczy\u0131lda iki kuvvet daha ke\u015ffedildi: atom \u00e7ekirde\u011finde etkin olan zay\u0131f ve ye\u011fin kuvvetler. G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczdeki modern kuantum alan kuramlar\u0131n\u0131n k\u00f6kenindeki kuvvet kavram\u0131n\u0131n k\u00f6keni Newton\u2019dan gelir. Atom alt\u0131 olaylarda art\u0131k bu kuvvetin do\u011fas\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7ok daha iyi anl\u0131yoruz. Art\u0131k bizim i\u00e7in \u201cvoodoo fizi\u011fi\u201d de\u011fil bu kuvvet. \u0130ki atom alt\u0131 par\u00e7ac\u0131k aras\u0131ndaki elektromanyetik, zay\u0131f ya da ye\u011fin kuvvet asl\u0131nda \u201can\u0131nda\u201d etkilemez ve pek de \u201cuzaktan\u201d etkiledi\u011fi s\u00f6ylenemez. \u00d6rne\u011fin bir elektron ve pozitron aras\u0131ndaki elektromanyetik etkile\u015fim (kuvvetin modern ad\u0131) uzayzaman\u0131n yap\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 de\u011fi\u015ftirerek bu par\u00e7ac\u0131klar aras\u0131nda sanal par\u00e7ac\u0131k \u00e7iftleri yarat\u0131r. \u201cKuvvet \u00e7izgileri\u201d dedi\u011fimiz yap\u0131lar b\u00f6yle ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar. Newton\u2019dan bu yana \u00e7ok yol kat ettik ama k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuvvetini h\u00e2l\u00e2 bu \u015fekilde a\u00e7\u0131klayam\u0131yoruz. \u0130\u015fte kuantum k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim, bir anlamda k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimi kuantum kuram\u0131 olarak ifade etme \u00e7abas\u0131d\u0131r. Bu ger\u00e7ekle\u015firse evrendeki d\u00f6rt kuvvetin kuantum kuram\u0131n\u0131 elde etmi\u015f olaca\u011f\u0131z.<\/p>\n<p>Kuantum k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim en \u00e7ok evrenin tarihini yazmaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan fizik\u00e7ilerin u\u011fra\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir aland\u0131r. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczdeki evrende g\u00f6zledi\u011fimiz d\u00f6rt temel kuvvet (\u00fc\u00e7 kuantum kuvveti ve k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim) ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7ta birle\u015fmi\u015f olmal\u0131yd\u0131. Evren so\u011fuduk\u00e7a bu kuvvetler ayr\u0131\u015f\u0131p, farkl\u0131 kuvvetler gibi g\u00f6r\u00fcnmeye ba\u015flam\u0131\u015f olmal\u0131d\u0131r; t\u0131pk\u0131 elektromanyetik kuvvetlerin bize iki ayr\u0131 elektrik ve manyetik kuvvet olarak g\u00f6r\u00fcnmesi gibi. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla evrenin ba\u015flang\u0131c\u0131nda i\u015fleyen bir kuantum k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuram\u0131na ihtiyac\u0131m\u0131z var. Ancak kuantum k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuramlar\u0131ndaki en b\u00fcy\u00fck zorluklardan birisi tekillik meselesidir. Yukar\u0131da anlatt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z gibi, genel g\u00f6relilik evrenin uzayzaman dokusuyla ilgilidir ve k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimini uzayzaman\u0131n b\u00fck\u00fclmesiyle a\u00e7\u0131klar. Peki bu b\u00fck\u00fclmenin kara deliklerde ya da B\u00fcy\u00fck Patlamada oldu\u011fu gibi s\u0131f\u0131ra yakla\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 durumlarda ne olacakt\u0131r? S\u0131f\u0131ra yakla\u015f\u0131rken kuantum fizi\u011finde Heisenberg belirsizlik ilkesi devreye girer ve b\u00fct\u00fcn fizik bilgimiz orada sona erer.<\/p>\n<p>S. Hawking\u2019e g\u00f6re kuantum k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimi s\u00f6z konusu oldu\u011funda iki zormuk vard\u0131r: Birincisi her ne kadar b\u00f6yle bir kuram\u0131n sahip olmak zorunda oldu\u011fu bi\u00e7im hakk\u0131nda olduk\u00e7a fazla \u015fey biliyor olsak da, hen\u00fcz hangi kuram\u0131n genel g\u00f6relilik ile kuantum mekani\u011fini ba\u015far\u0131yla birle\u015ftirdi\u011finden tam olarak emin de\u011filiz. \u0130kincisi b\u00fct\u00fcn evreni ayr\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131yla betimleyen bir model matematiksel y\u00f6nden muhtemelen bizim kesin \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fclerini hesaplayamayaca\u011f\u0131m\u0131z kadar karma\u015f\u0131k olacakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Hawking ve Penrose gibi fizik\u00e7iler probleme bir anlamda \u201cklasik\u201d yoldan \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmler bulmaya \u00e7abalarken, 1980\u2019lerden sonra pop\u00fclerle\u015fen sicim kuramc\u0131lar\u0131 olduk\u00e7a spek\u00fclatif y\u00f6ntemlerle (titre\u015fen sicimler ve ek boyutlar gibi) \u201cHer \u015eeyin Kuram\u0131\u201dn\u0131 elde etmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131rlar.<\/p>\n<p>Ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7taki tekillik durumu y\u00fcz\u00fcnden, kuantum k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuram\u0131nda evren i\u00e7in \u00e7ok say\u0131da farkl\u0131 olas\u0131 kuantum durumu vard\u0131r. Hawking\u2019in probleme yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131 Feynman\u2019\u0131n kuantum fizi\u011fine getirdi\u011fi ge\u00e7mi\u015flerin toplam\u0131na dayan\u0131r. Hawking\u2019e g\u00f6re e\u011fri \u00d6klit uzay-zamanlar\u0131n\u0131n daha \u00f6ncesinde, ge\u00e7mi\u015fleri toplam\u0131nda nas\u0131l davrand\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 bilirsek, evrenin kuantum durumunu biliyor oluruz. Bu noktada kuram evrenin s\u0131n\u0131r ko\u015fulu problemiyle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015f\u0131r.
