Bu tarihleme, insan evrimiyle ilgili bir tak\u0131m \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131mlar yapmam\u0131z\u0131 da kolayla\u015ft\u0131rabilir.<br \/>\n16 Mart 2015\u2019de <em>Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences<\/em>\u2019de yay\u0131mlanan makaleye g\u00f6re, d\u00fcnya kabu\u011fu Do\u011fu Afrika\u2019y\u0131 yukar\u0131 do\u011fru itmeye 17-13,5 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce ba\u015flam\u0131\u015f. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar\u0131n analizleri, ilk kez 1964 y\u0131l\u0131nda platonun s\u0131n\u0131r\u0131 olan Kenya\u2019da bulunan, Turkanaziphiid ad\u0131 verilen, ancak yanl\u0131\u015f yerle\u015ftirme sonucu 2011 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar Harvard \u00dcniversitesi koleksiyonunda korunan balina kafatas\u0131n\u0131n incelenmesine dayan\u0131yor.<br \/>\nAlmanya Potsdam \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nden Henry Wichura ve ekibi, fosili ve orijinal sahay\u0131 incelediklerinde, balinan\u0131n, antik bir nehirden yukar\u0131 do\u011fru y\u00fczmekteyken s\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u0131p kalm\u0131\u015f olabilece\u011fini belirlediler. Antik nehir o g\u00fcn ki \u00f6zellikleriyle birlikte canland\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, balinan\u0131n \u00f6l\u00fcp deniz seviyesinden 24-37 m y\u00fcksekli\u011fe kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k gelecek seviyede, sedimentlerin i\u00e7inde g\u00f6m\u00fcl\u00fcp kalm\u0131\u015f oldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc. Bununla birlikte kafatas\u0131 620 m\u2019de bulundu\u011fundan 17 milyon y\u0131l s\u00fcresince sedimentin bu g\u00f6m\u00fcy\u00fc saklay\u0131p yukar\u0131 do\u011fru en az 590 m itmi\u015f olabilece\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcld\u00fc.<br \/>\nLav ak\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131ndan al\u0131nan bilgiyle, platonun 13,5 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce yukar\u0131 do\u011fru itilmi\u015f oldu\u011funu biliyoruz.
