Okuyaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131z yaz\u0131y\u0131, Atlas dergisinin \u015eubat 2006 tarihli 155. say\u0131s\u0131nda yay\u0131mlanan \u201cKaratepe Tanr\u0131lar\u0131 ve Halet \u00c7ambel Efsanesi\u201d ba\u015fl\u0131kl\u0131 dosya i\u00e7in kaleme alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Kendisinin izniyle yay\u0131ml\u0131yoruz. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Karatepe Aslanta\u015f \u00f6renyeri giderek ilgi \u00e7eken Adana b\u00f6lgesi turizminin olmazsa olmazlar\u0131n\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda gelir. Sadece Ge\u00e7 Hitit Krall\u0131\u011f\u0131\u2019n\u0131n an\u0131tsal yap\u0131lar\u0131, g\u00f6rkemli heykel ve kabartmalar\u0131, yaz\u0131tlar\u0131 ile de\u011fil. Bulundu\u011fu do\u011fal \u00e7evre ile b\u00fct\u00fcnle\u015fen, baraj g\u00f6l\u00fcne d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015fm\u00fc\u015f Ceyhan Nehri k\u0131y\u0131s\u0131 boyunca uzanan \u00e7am ormanlar\u0131 ile t\u00fcm bu arkeolojik zenginliklerin b\u00fct\u00fcnl\u00fck i\u00e7inde g\u00f6r\u00fclebildi\u011fi ender yerlerden biri. Bu a\u00e7\u0131k hava m\u00fczesinden etkilenmemek m\u00fcmk\u00fcn de\u011fil. Arkeolojinin, k\u00fclt\u00fcr tarihinin, Anadolu uygarl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n zenginli\u011finin, Toroslar\u2019\u0131n \u00e7ekicili\u011finin ve b\u00f6lge Y\u00f6r\u00fcklerinin halk k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn birlikte g\u00f6r\u00fclebilece\u011fi tek yer. Burada uygarl\u0131k tarihi, \u00f6renyeri, korumac\u0131l\u0131k, etnografya, do\u011fa, bilim ve bir insan\u0131n ya\u015fam\u0131 tam bir b\u00fct\u00fcn haline getirilmi\u015f ve yo\u011frulmu\u015f durumda. Oradayken s\u0131radan gelen bu kurgu, bir biliminsan\u0131n\u0131n yar\u0131m y\u00fczy\u0131l boyunca s\u00fcren \u00f6yk\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fcn \u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc. Ve bu \u00f6yk\u00fcn\u00fcn kahraman\u0131 Prof. Halet \u00c7ambel.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7ambel kendisine yak\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lan \u201cToroslar\u2019\u0131n Efsane Hocas\u0131\u201d ismine tam anlam\u0131yla uyan ve hatta onun \u00f6tesine ge\u00e7en \u00e7ok renkli, farkl\u0131 bir kimlik. D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n en iyi okullar\u0131nda okumu\u015f, Sorbonne\u2019da eski diller \u00fczerinde doktora yapm\u0131\u015f, \u00f6l\u00fc dillerin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz\u00fcn bir\u00e7ok lisan\u0131n\u0131 anadilleri olarak konu\u015fanlardan dahi daha iyi bilen, bilim d\u00fcnyas\u0131nda tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lmaz sayg\u0131nl\u0131\u011fa sahip biri. \u0130stanbul\u2019un k\u00f6kl\u00fc ailelerinden birinden gelmesine, ailesinin gen\u00e7 T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti\u2019nin geli\u015fiminde Atat\u00fcrk ve \u0130smet \u0130n\u00f6n\u00fc\u2019n\u00fcn yak\u0131n\u0131nda olmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n herkesin \u00f6zendi\u011fi bu se\u00e7kin ortam\u0131 b\u0131rak\u0131p, ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131n yar\u0131s\u0131ndan \u00e7o\u011funu Toros Da\u011flar\u0131\u2019nda ge\u00e7irmi\u015f, bundan y\u00fcks\u00fcnmemi\u015f farkl\u0131 bir kimlik. Her t\u00fcrl\u00fc olanaktan mahrum, i\u00e7ecek suyun bile at s\u0131rt\u0131nda dereden getirilmek zorunda kal\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131 bu yerde tek ba\u015f\u0131na \u00e7ad\u0131r kuran gen\u00e7 Halet \u00c7ambel daha 1950\u2019lerin ba\u015f\u0131ndan itibaren 50 y\u0131l sonras\u0131n\u0131n, 21. y\u00fczy\u0131l\u0131n Karatepe\u2019sini d\u00fc\u015flemi\u015f, kendinden ba\u015fka kimsenin inanmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 bu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc inatla do\u011faya, b\u00fcrokrasiye, kendisini bir da\u011f ba\u015f\u0131na adad\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck g\u00f6ren meslekta\u015flar\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n inan\u0131lmaz\u0131 ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00fclt\u00fcr varl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 do\u011fal \u00e7evresi ve o b\u00f6lgede ya\u015fayan insanlarla birlikte bir b\u00fct\u00fcn i\u00e7erisinde ele almak 21. y\u00fczy\u0131l arkeolojisinin temel ilkesidir. Ancak \u00c7ambel\u2019in Karatepe\u2019ye ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 y\u0131llarda b\u00f6yle bir d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce d\u00fcnyan\u0131n en geli\u015fmi\u015f \u00fclkelerinde bile g\u00fcndemde de\u011fildi. O d\u00f6nemde arkeologlar herhangi bir co\u011frafyaya gider, kazar, bilgiyi al\u0131r; ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan eserlerden en g\u00fczel ve \u00f6nemlileri se\u00e7ilerek m\u00fczeye g\u00f6t\u00fcr\u00fcr, geri kalanlar\u0131 da kaderine terk ederdi. Kimsenin akl\u0131na bunun b\u00f6yle olmamas\u0131 gerekti\u011fi gelmez, hele ula\u015f\u0131m\u0131n olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 yerleri korumak gereksiz, anlams\u0131z bir \u00e7aba olarak g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcrd\u00fc. \u00c7ambel buna direndi. 1954\u2019te, eserleri yerinde korumaya karar verdi ve bu tarihten sonraki ya\u015fant\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 da ona g\u00f6re d\u00fczenledi. Eserler do\u011fal ortamla b\u00fct\u00fcnle\u015fmeli ve \u00e7evresinde ya\u015fayan insanlar ile bar\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmal\u0131yd\u0131. 1960\u2019a kadar Halet \u00c7ambel\u2019in kurgusu kafas\u0131nda \u015fekillenmi\u015f, oturmu\u015ftu. D\u00fcnyada ise benzeri bir kurgunun olu\u015fmas\u0131 i\u00e7in daha 30 y\u0131l gerekecekti. Daha a\u00e7\u0131k bir deyi\u015fle, onun \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fcs\u00fc d\u00fcnyan\u0131n 30 y\u0131l \u00f6n\u00fcndeydi.<\/p>\n<p>Ona her bak\u0131mdan destek olan e\u015fi Nail \u00c7ak\u0131rhan, kitaplardan beton d\u00f6kme, kal\u0131p alma ve statik hesaplar\u0131 yapmas\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6\u011frendi. \u00d6ylesine \u00f6\u011frendi ki eserlerin \u00fczerine kurulan koruyucu \u00e7at\u0131 T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de \u00e7\u0131plak beton y\u00f6nteminin ilk ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 uygulamas\u0131 olarak \u00fcnlendi. Su, y\u00fczlerce metre a\u015fa\u011f\u0131daki Ceyhan\u2019dan kovalarla \u00e7ekildi. \u00c7imento ve demir kat\u0131rlarla da\u011flar\u0131 a\u015farak geldi. Hayatlar\u0131nda hi\u00e7 beton g\u00f6rmemi\u015f Y\u00f6r\u00fcklerle \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131lar ve sonunda o do\u011faya en yak\u0131\u015fan sa\u00e7aklar\u0131 bitirdiler, in\u015faat bitti\u011finde Karatepe Aslanta\u015f \u00f6renyerine yol h\u00e2l\u00e2 yoktu. Zaman\u0131n geri kalan k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7evreye da\u011f\u0131lm\u0131\u015f arkeolojik par\u00e7alar\u0131 toplamaya verdi, on y\u0131llarca u\u011fra\u015f\u0131p bunlar\u0131 birle\u015ftirdi. Tesad\u00fcfen Karatepe\u2019ye gelen meslekta\u015flar\u0131 o y\u0131llarda ona deli g\u00f6z\u00fcyle bakt\u0131lar. Bu \u00e7abas\u0131 ancak 1999 y\u0131l\u0131nda Karatepe\u2019nin yay\u0131n\u0131 bas\u0131ld\u0131ktan sonra t\u00fcm d\u00fcnyada hayret ve sayg\u0131yla kar\u015f\u0131land\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7ukurova \u00e7evresinin a\u011fa\u00e7s\u0131z, k\u0131ra\u00e7, bir beton y\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131na d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc\u011f\u00fc g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde i\u00e7indeki y\u0131lanlar\u0131ndan b\u00f6ceklerine kadar bozulmam\u0131\u015f bu do\u011fal \u00e7evre ni\u015fini \u00e7abalar\u0131yla korudu. \u00d6yle ki, Ge\u00e7 Hitit kent krall\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 i\u00e7ine alan Karatepe, 1958\u2019den bug\u00fcne bir milli park. Ormanda ya\u015fayan k\u00f6yl\u00fc bile ke\u00e7ileriyle, tarla a\u00e7mak iste\u011fiyle ormana d\u00fc\u015fmand\u0131. Ke\u00e7inin koyunla de\u011fi\u015fmesini sa\u011flad\u0131. Orman\u0131 keserek a\u00e7\u0131lacak kayal\u0131k arazideki bir tarlan\u0131n ekonomik refah getirmeyece\u011finin bilincindeydi. Onlara daha b\u00fcy\u00fck ekonomik kazan\u00e7 sa\u011flayacak zanaatleri \u00f6\u011fretmeye y\u00f6neldi. Kad\u0131nlar\u0131 \u00f6zg\u00fcn ve nitelikli kilim dokumas\u0131 i\u00e7in adeta zorlad\u0131. \u0130lk ba\u015flarda tek bir kad\u0131n ona inand\u0131 ve onun d\u00fc\u015fledi\u011fi gibi Y\u00f6r\u00fck kilimleri dokudu. \u00d6rnek olmas\u0131 i\u00e7in onun dokuduklar\u0131n\u0131 toplad\u0131 ve \u0130stanbul\u2019da bizzat kendi satarak gelir elde etmesini sa\u011flad\u0131. Ve o kad\u0131n\u0131n geliri b\u00fct\u00fcn k\u00f6yl\u00fcleri heyecanland\u0131rd\u0131. Bir sekt\u00f6r do\u011fdu. Karatepe kilimleri T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de aran\u0131r oldu.<\/p>\n<p>Halet Han\u0131m, Toroslar\u2019\u0131n t\u00fcm \u00e2\u015f\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 Karatepe\u2019ye davet etti. T\u00fcrk\u00fcleri, m\u00fczikleri toplad\u0131. Ba\u015fta Ruhi Su olmak \u00fczere t\u00fcrk\u00fc d\u00fcnyas\u0131n\u0131n ve halk k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn en \u00f6nemli isimleri ile k\u00f6yl\u00fclerin bulu\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flad\u0131. Karatepe \u00e7evresi bir anda halk k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn tan\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131, belgelendi\u011fi bir yer haline geldi. Yozla\u015fman\u0131n etkisi ile kendi k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcnden utanmaya ba\u015flayan k\u00f6yl\u00fc yeniden bunun de\u011ferini g\u00f6rd\u00fc, sevdi ve ya\u015fatman\u0131n yollar\u0131n\u0131 aramaya ba\u015flad\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Devlet Karatepe\u2019ye yak\u0131n zamanlara kadar arkas\u0131n\u0131 d\u00f6nm\u00fc\u015f, g\u00f6rmezlikten gelmi\u015fti. Ceyhan \u00fczerine b\u00fcy\u00fck bir baraj yapmaya karar verdi. Baraj bir\u00e7ok k\u00fclt\u00fcr varl\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi Karatepe Aslanta\u015f \u00f6renyerini de baraj g\u00f6l\u00fcn\u00fcn ortas\u0131nda k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir ada halinde b\u0131rakmakla tehdit ediyordu. Bu da y\u0131ld\u0131rmad\u0131. Bir y\u0131l boyunca baraj\u0131n t\u00fcm m\u00fchendislik ve ekonomik planlar\u0131n\u0131 inceledi ve bu hesaplar\u0131n yanl\u0131\u015flar\u0131n\u0131 ortaya koyan bir rapor haz\u0131rlad\u0131. Yanl\u0131\u015flar\u0131, DS\u0130 m\u00fchendislerine ve y\u00f6neticilerine anlatt\u0131 ve baraj projesinin Karatepe\u2019yi tehdit etmeyecek \u015fekilde de\u011fi\u015fmesini sa\u011flad\u0131. Bug\u00fcn ne Zeugma\u2019da, ne Allianoi\u2019de ne de Hasankeyf\u2019te yap\u0131lmayan\u0131 yapt\u0131. Bu da herhalde bize, ayd\u0131nlara sadece hamasi s\u00f6ylemler yerine bilgi ile donat\u0131lm\u0131\u015f bir u\u011fra\u015f\u0131n\u0131n getirisinin \u00f6rne\u011fi olmal\u0131d\u0131r. \u00dclkemizdeki en \u00f6zg\u00fcn Ha\u00e7l\u0131 kalesi Kumkale\u2019nin bir ba\u015fka Hitit D\u00f6nemi yerle\u015fmesi Domuztepe\u2019nin suyun alt\u0131nda kalacak son par\u00e7as\u0131na kadar kaz\u0131larak belgelenmesini sa\u011flad\u0131. T\u00fcm bunlar\u0131n sonunda bug\u00fcn Karatepe-Aslanta\u015f Milli Park\u0131 ve A\u00e7\u0131k Hava M\u00fczesi art\u0131k b\u00fcrokrasimizin bile g\u00f6zard\u0131 edemedi\u011fi bir konuma geldi. Yolu yap\u0131ld\u0131, suyu, elektri\u011fi geldi, bek\u00e7i kadrosu verildi. Ama Halet Han\u0131m h\u00e2l\u00e2 orada ve h\u00e2l\u00e2 gelecek planlar\u0131 yap\u0131yor.<\/p>\n<p>Halet \u00c7ambel\u2019in \u00e7a\u011f\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6tesinde bir d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce sistemine sahip oldu\u011funu yaln\u0131zca Karatepe Aslanta\u015f\u2019a bakarak \u00f6rneklemek \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck bir eksiklik olur. K\u0131y\u0131ya kadar inen Y\u00f6r\u00fcklerin \u00e7ad\u0131r kurdu\u011fu, el de\u011fmemi\u015f g\u00fczel do\u011fas\u0131 ve \u00f6renyerleri ile \u00c7ukurova bug\u00fcn betonla\u015fm\u0131\u015f halinden \u00e7ok farkl\u0131yd\u0131. 1965 y\u0131l\u0131nda b\u00f6lgenin turizme a\u00e7\u0131lmas\u0131 kararla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131. \u00c7ambel derhal Devlet Planlama Te\u015fkilat\u0131\u2019na (DPT) ba\u015fvurdu. Bu kurumu, s\u0131nai ve turizm planlamas\u0131ndan \u00f6nce k\u00fclt\u00fcr ve do\u011fa envanterinin \u00e7\u0131kart\u0131lmas\u0131 gereklili\u011fine inand\u0131rd\u0131. \u0130ki y\u0131l boyunca Silifke\u2019den Payas\u2019a kadar olan t\u00fcm k\u0131y\u0131 band\u0131n\u0131n y\u00fcr\u00fcnerek taranmas\u0131n\u0131, k\u0131y\u0131 band\u0131 \u00fczerinde, korunmaya de\u011fer her t\u00fcrl\u00fc varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n belgelenerek haritaya i\u015flenmesini sa\u011flad\u0131. O y\u0131llar\u0131n DPT\u2019si bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaya sayg\u0131 duydu ve yeni yap\u0131la\u015fman\u0131n k\u00fclt\u00fcr miras\u0131na zarar vermeyecek \u015fekilde ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmesi i\u00e7in gereken revizyonu yapt\u0131. Bu o kadar ileri bir \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fcyd\u00fc ki devletimiz t\u00fcm bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmay\u0131 yok sayd\u0131. \u00c7ambel\u2019in projesi uygulamaya ge\u00e7ebilseydi, devlete yenik d\u00fc\u015fmeseydi; \u00c7ukurova, k\u00fclt\u00fcr varl\u0131klar\u0131 ile \u00e7a\u011fda\u015f ya\u015fam\u0131n birbirinin uzla\u015fmaz kar\u015f\u0131t\u0131 olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6steren makro \u00f6l\u00e7ekli d\u00fcnyan\u0131n ilk projesi olacakt\u0131. Benzer bir \u00e7abay\u0131 Adana kenti i\u00e7in de s\u00fcrd\u00fcrd\u00fc.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u201cBiz plan de\u011fil, pilav istiyoruz\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adana\u2019n\u0131n \u00e7ekirde\u011fini Tepeba\u011f Mahallesi olu\u015fturur. Buras\u0131 ayn\u0131 zamanda b\u00fcy\u00fck bir h\u00f6y\u00fckt\u00fcr. \u00dczerinde Osmanl\u0131 ve cumhuriyet d\u00f6neminin sivil mimari \u00f6rneklerinin g\u00fczel bir doku olu\u015fturdu\u011fu bu h\u00f6y\u00fck, Hitit d\u00f6nemindeki Kizzuwatna Krall\u0131\u011f\u0131\u2019n\u0131n ba\u015f\u015fehri Adanavan da kentidir. \u00c7ambel h\u00f6y\u00fc\u011f\u00fc ve Osmanl\u0131 dokusunu, h\u0131zla geli\u015fen Adana taraf\u0131ndan yutulmamas\u0131 i\u00e7in \u00f6\u011frencileri ile en ince ayr\u0131nt\u0131s\u0131na kadar belgeledi. \u015eehir planc\u0131lar\u0131 ile ayr\u0131nt\u0131l\u0131 bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma yapt\u0131. Ancak proje kabul edilmeden, ona sahip \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131 beklenen Adana Belediyesi taraf\u0131ndan bir gece operasyonu ile Tepeba\u011f Mahallesi ve h\u00f6y\u00fc\u011f\u00fc ortadan yar\u0131ld\u0131, Roma devri sur kal\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131 yok edildi, eski evler y\u0131k\u0131ld\u0131. Adanal\u0131lar halen bu kayb\u0131n ac\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 ya\u015f\u0131yor. Bu 1960\u2019lar\u0131n ikinci yar\u0131s\u0131nda g\u00f6reve gelen S\u00fcleyman Demirel y\u00f6netiminin \u201cbiz plan de\u011fil pilav istiyoruz\u201d s\u00f6yleminin \u00fclkemize \u00f6detti\u011fi bedellerden biridir.<\/p>\n<p>Demirel\u2019li ilk y\u0131llar\u0131n\u0131 ya\u015fayan T\u00fcrkiye o d\u00f6nemde b\u00fcy\u00fck baraj yapmay\u0131 bir prestij olarak \u00f6\u011frendi. Poster halinde halka sunulan bu prestij g\u00f6stergelerinin sembol\u00fc Keban Baraj\u0131\u2019yd\u0131. F\u0131rat \u00fczerine kurulacak bu baraj, ba\u015fta Elaz\u0131\u011f Alt\u0131nova gibi y\u00fcksek Do\u011fu Anadolu\u2019nun en g\u00fczel ovas\u0131n\u0131 yutacakt\u0131. O y\u0131llarda bu co\u011frafyada \u00f6nemli uygarl\u0131k merkezlerinin olaca\u011f\u0131, k\u00fclt\u00fcr tarihi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan bir de\u011feri oldu\u011fu hi\u00e7 kimsenin akl\u0131na gelmiyordu. Biliminsanlar\u0131n\u0131n da b\u00f6lgeye kar\u015f\u0131 bir ilgisi yoktu. Halet Han\u0131m, d\u00fcnyan\u0131n en \u00f6nemli arkeologlar\u0131ndan Chicago \u00dcniversitesi Do\u011fu Bilimleri Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc M\u00fcd\u00fcr\u00fc R. J. Braidwood\u2019u yan\u0131na ald\u0131 ve baraj alan\u0131n\u0131n, aynen \u00c7ukurova k\u0131y\u0131 band\u0131nda oldu\u011fu gibi taranarak envanterinin \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flad\u0131. Ancak daha fazlas\u0131n\u0131 yapmak i\u00e7in ne kaynak ve ne de devletin ilgisi mevcuttu. ODT\u00dc Mimarl\u0131k Fak\u00fcltesi, 1966 y\u0131l\u0131nda b\u00f6lgenin \u00f6n et\u00fcd\u00fcn\u00fc yapm\u0131\u015f ve \u201cDoomed By The Dam\u201d \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 yay\u0131mlam\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Halet Han\u0131m, Kurda\u015f\u2019\u0131n bu konuda heyecanlanmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flad\u0131. Arkeoloji merak\u0131na sahip Kemal Bey inan\u0131lmaz y\u00f6netsel kabiliyetini, kurtarma \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n ilk \u00f6rneklerinden say\u0131lan Keban Projesi\u2019nin do\u011fmas\u0131 i\u00e7in kulland\u0131. Ve sekiz y\u0131l boyunca projeyi y\u00f6netti. Halet \u00c7ambel, bu d\u00f6nemde kendisi kaz\u0131 yapmad\u0131. Baraj sular\u0131 h\u00f6y\u00fckleri yutuncaya dek, yerli ve yabanc\u0131 19 ekibin ve d\u00fczenli yay\u0131nlar\u0131n koordinasyonunu sa\u011flad\u0131. As\u0131l \u00f6nemlisi, k\u00fclt\u00fcr tarihi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck g\u00f6r\u00fclen Do\u011fu Anadolu\u2019nun, Mezopotamya kadar k\u00f6kl\u00fc bir mirasa sahip oldu\u011funu d\u00fcnyaya g\u00f6sterdi. Bu heyecan Keban\u2019\u0131 izleyen Karakaya ve Atat\u00fcrk barajlar\u0131na aktar\u0131ld\u0131. Uygarl\u0131k tarihine yeni birer sayfa a\u00e7an buluntular ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Kurtarma kaz\u0131lar\u0131 \u00e7e\u015fitli bask\u0131lara, 1986 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar dayanabildi ve yeniden ba\u015flayaca\u011f\u0131 1998\u2019e kadar durduruldu. Bu tarihte ODT\u00dc projeleri tekrar ba\u015flatt\u0131 ancak 12 y\u0131l boyunca k\u00fclt\u00fcr varl\u0131klar\u0131 baraj g\u00f6lleri alt\u0131nda belgelenmeden yok oldu. Bunun ac\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 son dakikada g\u00fcndeme gelen Zeugma ile hep birlikte ya\u015fad\u0131k. Oysa ki Zeugma\u2019n\u0131n sualt\u0131nda kalaca\u011f\u0131 Keban Projesi zaman\u0131nda biliniyordu ve dile getirilmi\u015fti. Ama ileriye y\u00f6nelik \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fcden yoksun bir sistem, bu s\u00f6ylemi duymak istemedi. \u00c7ambel \u00c7ukurova ve Keban projelerinin, benzer geli\u015fmeler kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin gelece\u011fini kurtaracak bir okul olmas\u0131n\u0131 arzu etmi\u015fti. M\u00fccadeleyi s\u00fcrd\u00fcrecek, kendi \u00f6ng\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc yakla\u015f\u0131mlar\u0131 sergileyecek ku\u015faklar\u0131n yeti\u015fmesi i\u00e7in t\u00fcm olanaklar\u0131 zorlad\u0131. D\u00fcnyan\u0131n neresinden olursa olsun do\u011fruyu arayanlar\u0131n bir araya gelmesini sa\u011flad\u0131. Bunun en g\u00fczel \u00f6rne\u011fini de d\u00fcnyan\u0131n en uzun s\u00fcreli ortak \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 olarak bilinen ve 43 y\u0131ld\u0131r sorunsuz olarak s\u00fcren \u00c7ay\u00f6n\u00fc Projesi ile kan\u0131tlad\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Halet \u00c7ambel do\u011frular\u0131n her t\u00fcrl\u00fc olumsuzlu\u011fa kar\u015f\u0131 nas\u0131l ba\u015far\u0131labilece\u011finin; insanl\u0131\u011fa, bilime, do\u011faya, k\u00fclt\u00fcre, topluma sayg\u0131n\u0131n nas\u0131l olmas\u0131 gerekti\u011finin bir okulu gibidir.
