Galaksi k\u00fcmeleri gibi b\u00fcy\u00fck k\u00fctleli cisimlerin yan\u0131ndan ge\u00e7en \u0131\u015f\u0131k \u0131\u015f\u0131nlar\u0131, cisme do\u011fru b\u00fck\u00fclerek \u201clenslenir\u201d. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fmaya g\u00f6re uzak mesafedeki bir cisim ile D\u00fcnya aras\u0131ndaki bir galaksi k\u00fcmesi, k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimsel lensleme etkisiyle bahsi ge\u00e7en cismi 50 kat mertebelerinde b\u00fcy\u00fctebilir. Bunun da \u00f6tesinde, lenslemeyi yapan nesne g\u00f6rece k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck ve lenslenecek cisim ile tam olarak hizalanm\u0131\u015fsa, k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimsel mikro-lensleme etkisi ile 5 bin kat b\u00fcy\u00fcme g\u00f6zlenebilir.<\/p>\n<p>Ara\u015ft\u0131rma ekibinin \u0130karus\u2019u ke\u015ffi, <em>Refsdal<\/em> ad\u0131 verilen bir s\u00fcpernovan\u0131n takibi s\u0131ras\u0131nda oldu. Refsdal\u2019\u0131n \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n, yakla\u015f\u0131k 5 milyar \u0131\u015f\u0131k y\u0131l\u0131 mesafesindeki MACS J1149 galaksi k\u00fcmesinden lenslenmesi bekleniyordu. Fakat g\u00f6zlem s\u0131ras\u0131nda beklenmedik bir \u015feyle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015f\u0131ld\u0131: S\u00fcpernova ile ayn\u0131 alanda, al\u0131\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015f\u0131n d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda parlak bir nokta kaynak tespit edildi.
