Bir biliminsan\u0131, bir ayd\u0131n, bir \u00f6\u011fretmen yasalara uymalar\u0131 konusunda birilerini uyard\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in hapsedildi. Bu c\u00fcmleyi bir zaman sonra okuyanlar (umar\u0131m bu zaman k\u0131sa olur), eminim inanmayacaklard\u0131r. Ancak, ne kadar yabanc\u0131la\u015f\u0131rsa yabanc\u0131la\u015fs\u0131n \u00e7ok a\u00e7\u0131k bir bi\u00e7imde kendisini m\u00fccadelenin tam da en \u00f6n\u00fcne g\u00f6t\u00fcrecek potansiyel \u00f6zeliklere sahiptir. O zaman anlam\u0131\u015f\u0131md\u0131r ki laboratuvar\u0131mda rahat \u00e7al\u0131\u015fabilmek i\u00e7in, bilimin kirli ama\u00e7lara, sava\u015f haz\u0131rl\u0131klar\u0131na de\u011fil bar\u0131\u015fa hizmet etmesini isteyenlerin saf\u0131nda sava\u015f\u0131m vermem gerekiyor\u2026 Biz bilim adamlar\u0131, ancak s\u00fcrekli bir bar\u0131\u015f var olduk\u00e7a i\u00e7 huzura kavu\u015fabilir ve b\u00fct\u00fcn g\u00fcnlerimizi laboratuvarda ge\u00e7irebiliriz.\u201d (G\u00f6nen\u00e7 1994)<\/p>\n<p>Yukar\u0131daki s\u00f6zlerin sahibi, Nobel Kimya \u00d6d\u00fcl\u00fc sahibi, Sorbonne \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyesi, 17 \u00fclkenin bilim akademisi \u00fcyesi Frederic Joliot-Curie, ayn\u0131 zamanda i\u015fgal alt\u0131ndaki Fransa\u2019da ulusal direni\u015fin lideri, D\u00fcnya Bar\u0131\u015f Kongresi Ba\u015fkan\u0131 ve Frans\u0131z Kom\u00fcnist Partisi Merkez Komitesi \u00fcyesiydi. Gerek bilimsel gerekse toplumsal sorumluluk olarak belki de u\u00e7 bir \u00f6rnek olan Joliot-Curie, asl\u0131nda tam da akademisyen kimdir sorusunun yan\u0131t\u0131d\u0131r asl\u0131nda.<\/p>\n<p>Akademisyen sorgulayan biliminsan\u0131 m\u0131 yoksa egemen ideolojiyi ko\u015fullara uygun bi\u00e7imde aktaran \u201c\u00f6\u011fretmen\u201d mi olaca\u011f\u0131 sorusuyla kar\u015f\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131yad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>2) <strong>Ayd\u0131n olarak akademisyen<\/strong>. \u201cHer akademisyen ayd\u0131n m\u0131d\u0131r?\u201d sorusuna olumlu yan\u0131t vermek \u00e7ok g\u00fc\u00e7, \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc \u00e7evremize bakt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131zda bunun b\u00f6yle olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 kolayl\u0131kla g\u00f6rebiliyoruz. Ayd\u0131n olman\u0131n \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fct\u00fcn\u00fcn ak\u0131l y\u00fcr\u00fctme, de\u011ferlerine sahip \u00e7\u0131kma, buna uygun tav\u0131r alma ve do\u011facak sorumlulu\u011fu ta\u015f\u0131mak oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcrse, bunun tam olarak bilimsel bilgi \u00fcretim s\u00fcreciyle \u00f6rt\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc\u011f\u00fc s\u00f6ylenebilir. Ger\u00e7ekten de bilimsel s\u00fcrecin, hipotez olu\u015fturma, bunu kan\u0131tlama, yay\u0131nlama ve sonu\u00e7lar\u0131n\u0131 savunmadan olu\u015ftu\u011fu hat\u0131rlan\u0131rsa, ayd\u0131n olma s\u00fcreciyle benzerli\u011fi a\u00e7\u0131k\u00e7a ortaya \u00e7\u0131kacakt\u0131r. \u015eunu s\u00f6ylemek istiyorum; biliminsan\u0131 olmak beraberinde ayd\u0131n olmay\u0131 da getirecektir. Enis Batur\u2019un tan\u0131m\u0131yla, \u201cdo\u011frunun e\u011friden ayr\u0131lmas\u0131 u\u011fruna, de\u011fil ba\u015fkalar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7\u0131karlar\u0131n\u0131, ki\u015fisel \u00e7\u0131karlar\u0131n\u0131 da g\u00f6z ard\u0131 edebilen, daha iyisi, ba\u015fka t\u00fcrl\u00fc yapmak elinden gelmeyen ki\u015fidir\u201d ayd\u0131n. (Batur 1985, G\u00fcnal 2012)<\/p>\n<p>Asl\u0131nda ayd\u0131n kavram\u0131 ayd\u0131nlanma ile birlikte tarih sahnesine \u00e7\u0131km\u0131\u015ft\u0131r ve entelekt\u00fcel s\u00f6zc\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fcn entelekt\u00fcel\/ayd\u0131n ki\u015fiyi tan\u0131mlamada kullan\u0131l\u0131\u015f\u0131 bin alt\u0131 y\u00fczl\u00fc y\u0131llar\u0131n ikinci yar\u0131s\u0131ndad\u0131r. Bu d\u00f6nemde, ayd\u0131nlanma ile birlikte kilise denetiminden kurtulan \u00fcniversite ile ayd\u0131n aras\u0131nda ger\u00e7ek ba\u011flant\u0131 ortaya \u00e7\u0131km\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Kant\u2019\u0131n \u201cFak\u00fclteler Sava\u015f\u0131\u201d isimli kitab\u0131nda anlatt\u0131\u011f\u0131 da budur.<\/p>\n<p>Buraya kadar anlatt\u0131\u011f\u0131m ayd\u0131n ve akademisyenin bilgi\/bilim d\u00fczleminde bulu\u015fmas\u0131yd\u0131. Bunun d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda ayr\u0131ca ele\u015ftirellik d\u00fczleminde de ayd\u0131n\/\u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyesi kimlikleri kesi\u015fir. Ele\u015ftirellik d\u00fczlemi i\u00e7in belki de en uygun \u00f6rnek Edward Said\u2019dir. \u0130srail askerlerine kar\u015f\u0131 Filistin\u2019de temsili ta\u015f atmas\u0131 ger\u00e7ek anlam\u0131yla eyleme d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fclm\u00fc\u015f bir ele\u015ftiridir ve kal\u0131nca bir kitap yazmaktan daha de\u011ferlidir. Ancak en az Edward Said kadar, Columbia \u00dcniversitesi rekt\u00f6r yard\u0131mc\u0131s\u0131 Jonathan R. Cole\u2019un Said\u2019i t\u00fcm gerici tepkilere kar\u015f\u0131 savunmas\u0131 ve yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 eylemi ele\u015ftirellik ve \u00f6zerklik s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131 i\u00e7erisinde de\u011ferlendirmesi \u00f6nemlidir.<\/p>\n<p>Ele\u015ftirellik anlam\u0131nda T\u00fcrkiye\u2019den de olumlu \u00f6rnekler say\u0131labilir. 1932 y\u0131l\u0131ndaki Tarih Kongresinde d\u00f6nemin E\u011fitim Bakan\u0131 Re\u015fit Galip\u2019in G\u00fcne\u015f-Dil teorisini savunurken, bu teoriye bilimsel olarak kar\u015f\u0131 \u00e7\u0131kan Zeki Velidi Togan\u2019\u0131 kastederek \u201ciyi ki onun \u00f6\u011frencisi olmam\u0131\u015f\u0131m\u201d demesi \u00fczerine, bakana \u201ciyi ki Togan\u2019\u0131n \u00f6\u011frencisi olmu\u015fuz\u201d diye telgraf \u00e7eken ve bunun \u00fczerine \u00fcniversiteden ayr\u0131larak \u00f6\u011fretmenlik yapmak zorunda kalan Pertev Naili Boratav ve Nihal Ats\u0131z; 1933\u2019te \u00fcniversiteden uzakla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n ne kendi ilkelerinden nede cumhuriyet ilkelerinden vazge\u00e7meyen \u0130smay\u0131l Hakk\u0131 Baltac\u0131o\u011flu;1946\u2019 da yine Boratav\u2019a ek olarak Behice Boran ve Niyazi Berkes; 1970\u2019lerde \u0130smail Be\u015fik\u00e7i ve 1980\u2019lerde t\u00fcm 1402\u2019likler say\u0131labilir. Gerek ekonomik, gerekse siyasal anlamda akademisyen proleterle\u015fmeye ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ekonomik anlamda derinle\u015fen kriz ve bunun \u00fcniversiteye yans\u0131mas\u0131 sadece \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyesi gelirini s\u00fcrekli olarak a\u015fa\u011f\u0131ya \u00e7ekmekle kalmam\u0131\u015f, ayn\u0131 zamanda \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyesi gelirini do\u011frudan yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u015fe endeksleyerek onu \u201ceme\u011fini satarak ge\u00e7inir\u201d hale getirmi\u015ftir. (G\u00fcnal 2006)<\/p>\n<p>Siyasal anlamda ise kapitalizmin bilimden bekledikleri bellidir: teknik dallarda k\u00e2r\u0131 artt\u0131r\u0131c\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar yap\u0131lmas\u0131, sosyal bilimlerde ise s\u00fcreci rasyonalle\u015ftirici teoriler olu\u015fturulmas\u0131. Bu da ilk maddede a\u00e7\u0131klad\u0131\u011f\u0131m, biliminsan\u0131 tan\u0131m\u0131yla \u00e7eli\u015fmektedir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neden Rennan Pek\u00fcnl\u00fc?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yukar\u0131da s\u0131rlamaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131m \u00f6zellikler a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan Pek\u00fcnl\u00fc\u2019y\u00fc de\u011ferlendirecek olursak, \u00f6ncelikle s\u00f6ylemek gerekir ki, Rennan Pek\u00fcnl\u00fc alan\u0131nda \u00f6nde gelen biliminsanlar\u0131ndan birisidir. Konu d\u0131\u015f\u0131 birisi olarak bunu de\u011ferlendirmek bana d\u00fc\u015fmeyebilir ama basit bir kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131rmal\u0131 \u201cscientometric\u201d ara\u015ft\u0131rma en az\u0131ndan \u00fcretim niceli\u011fi ve de\u011fini say\u0131s\u0131na ba\u011fl\u0131 nitelik ba\u011flam\u0131nda T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de astronomi aln\u0131nda \u00f6n s\u0131ralarda yer ald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6sterecektir. Ayr\u0131ca Pek\u00fcnl\u00fc iyi bir \u00f6\u011fretmendir de. Bunu sadece kendisinden ders alan \u00f6\u011frencileri i\u00e7in de\u011fil, t\u00fcm toplum i\u00e7in s\u00f6yl\u00fcyorum. \u00d6rne\u011fin ben kendisinden \u00e7ok \u015fey \u00f6\u011frendim. Benim gibi \u00e7ok say\u0131da ki\u015finin evrenin evrimi kavram\u0131n\u0131 ilk kez ondan duydu\u011fu kan\u0131s\u0131nday\u0131m. Pop\u00fcler bilim dergilerine yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 makalelerle, b\u0131kmadan usanmadan bunu hepimize \u00f6\u011fretti\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyorum.<\/p>\n<p>Rennan Pek\u00fcnl\u00fc ayn\u0131 zamanda, her profes\u00f6r\u00fcn olmas\u0131 gereken ama \u00e7ok az bir k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131n olabildi\u011fi, ger\u00e7ek bir ayd\u0131nd\u0131r. \u00dclke ve toplum sorunlar\u0131 konusunda d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcr, \u00fcretir, yazar ve \u00e7evirir. \u0130\u015fi bu noktada da b\u0131rakmaz, gere\u011fini yapar. T\u00fcrban konusunu da g\u00f6rmezden gelmemesi ayd\u0131n olman\u0131n, \u201cba\u015fka t\u00fcrl\u00fc yapamaman\u0131n\u201d bir sonucudur. Bu tavr\u0131 ayd\u0131nlanmac\u0131 olmas\u0131n\u0131n ve hurafelerle m\u00fccadelesinin bir par\u00e7as\u0131d\u0131r. Park\u2019tan \u00e7evirdi\u011fi <em>Bat\u0131l \u0130nan\u00e7<\/em> kitab\u0131n\u0131n arka kapa\u011f\u0131nda \u015f\u00f6yle yazar: \u201cBat\u0131l inan\u00e7 deyince, e\u011fitilmemi\u015f ki\u015filerin kafalar\u0131na k\u00f6k salm\u0131\u015f z\u0131rvalar gelir akla. Oysa en geli\u015fmi\u015f \u00fclkelerin fen ve e\u011fitim alanlar\u0131nda \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmakta olan \u201cuzmanlar\u201d aras\u0131ndan bile ecinni masal\u0131 gibi hurafelere saplant\u0131l\u0131 kalm\u0131\u015f insanlar \u00e7\u0131kabiliyor. Bunlardan kimileri yanl\u0131\u015flara i\u00e7tenlikle inan\u0131rken kimileri de ba\u015fkalar\u0131na \u2018yutturup\u2019 \u00e7\u0131kar sa\u011flamak amac\u0131yla kafasal doland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k yap\u0131yorlar. Devlet ve sponsor kademelerinde yanda\u015f ayarlay\u0131p \u201cara\u015ft\u0131rma fonu\u201d t\u00fcr\u00fcnden inan\u0131lmaz paralar\u0131 cebe indirmeleri \u00e7ok s\u0131k rastlanan bir dalavere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pek\u00fcnl\u00fc\u2019y\u00fc hedef yapan son bir \u00f6zelli\u011fi de al\u00e7ak g\u00f6n\u00fcll\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcd\u00fcr. T\u00fcm olumlu niteliklerine kar\u015f\u0131n asla \u00f6n planda olmay\u0131 sevmeyen bir yap\u0131s\u0131 vard\u0131r. Bu \u00f6zelli\u011fi ile di\u011fer \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyelerinin kolayca empati yapmas\u0131na olanak sa\u011flamakta, \u201cbenim de ba\u015f\u0131ma gelebilir\u201d korkusu yaratmaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p><strong>S\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesi ve Rennan Pek\u00fcnl\u00fc<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>D\u0130SK Ara\u015ft\u0131rma Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc (D\u0130SK-AR) taraf\u0131ndan yap\u0131lan hesaplamalara g\u00f6re, asgari \u00fccretli bir i\u015f\u00e7inin, \u00f6\u011f\u00fcn ba\u015f\u0131na 75 kuru\u015fa karn\u0131n\u0131 doyurmas\u0131, bir buzdolab\u0131 i\u00e7in 27 g\u00fcn \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131, 311 liraya bar\u0131nmas\u0131 ve \u0131s\u0131nmas\u0131, \u00e7ocuk ba\u015f\u0131na 2,9 liral\u0131k e\u011fitim harcamas\u0131yla \u00e7ocuklar\u0131n\u0131 yeti\u015ftirmesi bekleniyor. D\u0130SK-AR\u2019\u0131n yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaya g\u00f6re T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de a\u00e7l\u0131k s\u0131n\u0131r\u0131 1.283 lira yoksulluk s\u0131n\u0131r\u0131 4 bin 57 lirad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Bu verilere g\u00f6re i\u015f\u00e7i s\u0131n\u0131f\u0131 Cumhuriyet tarihinin en k\u00f6t\u00fc d\u00f6nemini ya\u015famaktad\u0131r. Sendikal\u0131 i\u015f\u00e7i say\u0131s\u0131 ise 12 Eyl\u00fcl \u00f6ncesine g\u00f6re neredeyse y\u00fczde doksan d\u00fczeyinde azalm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ta\u015feronluk sistemiyle \u201ci\u015f\u00e7i alt\u0131\u201d bir s\u0131n\u0131f yarat\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. K\u0131dem tazminatlar\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6denmemesi, yar\u0131m asgari \u00fccret uygulamas\u0131 gibi ak\u0131l almaz fikirler uygulanma a\u015famas\u0131ndad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00fcm bu yoksullu\u011fun, mant\u0131k d\u0131\u015f\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n i\u015f\u00e7i s\u0131n\u0131f\u0131na kabul ettirilmesi i\u00e7in g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir ideolojik deformasyona gereksinim vard\u0131r. \u0130\u015fte dini ideoloji tam olarak bu noktada devreye girmektedir. Ebedi bir mutluluk kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda, ebedi bir mutlu ya\u015fam kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda, bu d\u00fcnyada \u00e7ekilecek 60-70 y\u0131ll\u0131k bir \u00e7ilenin ne gibi bir \u00f6nemi olabilir ki? Kald\u0131 ki, bu d\u00fcnyadaki \u00e7ileler \u00f6b\u00fcr d\u00fcnyadaki sonsuz mutluluk i\u00e7in bir s\u0131nav de\u011fil mi? Tersinden s\u00f6ylemek gerekirse siyaseti ve toplumsal hayat\u0131 belirlemek isteyen dinci gericilik kamusal alandaki dini sembol yasaklar\u0131n\u0131 ma\u011fduriyet olarak sunmak istemi\u015ftir. T\u00fcrbanla geleneksel \u00f6rt\u00fcnme bi\u00e7imlerini ay\u0131ran mesele budur (TKP\u2019li \u00d6\u011frenciler, 2010-2011). AKP, kad\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6rterse, yoksullu\u011fun yar\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 gizleyecek; \u00f6b\u00fcr yar\u0131s\u0131 da kad\u0131nlar\u0131n k\u00f6lele\u015fti\u011fi bir d\u00fcnyada aptalla\u015facak besbelli.
