K\u0131sa s\u00fcrede yery\u00fcz\u00fcnden bu kadar \u00e7ok taksonun silinmesi ise, pek \u00e7ok ekolojik ni\u015fin bo\u015falmas\u0131na ve kalan t\u00fcrlerin bu ni\u015flere de yerle\u015febilecek \u015fekilde farkl\u0131la\u015fmas\u0131yla yeni bir biyota olu\u015fmas\u0131na olanak sa\u011flar. Canl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n evrimi s\u00fcrecinde b\u00fcy\u00fck ya da k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck \u00f6l\u00e7ekli pek \u00e7ok toplu yok olu\u015f olay\u0131 meydana gelmi\u015ftir. Be\u015f tanesinin etkisi ve boyutu di\u011ferlerine g\u00f6re daha b\u00fcy\u00fckt\u00fcr. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>T\u00fcrler ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar ve yok olurlar. Canl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n var olu\u015funda beri bu i\u015fleyi\u015f s\u00fcregelmi\u015ftir ve bu yok olu\u015flar belki de evrimsel s\u00fcrecin \u00f6nemli kaynaklar\u0131ndan birini olu\u015fturmu\u015ftur, her ne kadar canl\u0131lar\u0131n yok olmas\u0131na neden olsalar da.\u00a0 Arka planda s\u00fcrekli i\u015fleyen yok olu\u015f ve d\u00f6nemsel olarak ya\u015fanan kitlesel yok olu\u015flar di\u011fer etkenlerle birlikte daha sonraki canl\u0131l\u0131k formlar\u0131n\u0131n \u015fekillenmesini sa\u011flarlar. Kitlesel yok olu\u015flarsa belki en \u00f6nemli etkidir g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczdeki biyolojik \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fin var olu\u015funda. Bir t\u00fcr\u00fcn yok olmas\u0131, art\u0131k \u00fcreyebilecek hi\u00e7bir bireyinin yery\u00fcz\u00fcnde kalmam\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131 anlam\u0131na gelir. Kitlesel yok olu\u015f ise \u00e7ok k\u0131sa s\u00fcre i\u00e7erisinde \u00e7ok fazla taksonun yok olmas\u0131d\u0131r. K\u0131sa s\u00fcrede yery\u00fcz\u00fcnden bu kadar \u00e7ok taksonun silinmesi ise, pek \u00e7ok ekolojik ni\u015fin bo\u015falmas\u0131na ve kalan t\u00fcrlerin bu ni\u015flere de yerle\u015febilecek \u015fekilde farkl\u0131la\u015fmas\u0131yla yeni bir biyota olu\u015fmas\u0131na olanak sa\u011flar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kitlesel yok olu\u015flar\u0131n nedenleri<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25524\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25524\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25524\" src=\"https:\/\/bilimvegelecek.com.tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/1-4-300x162.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25524\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ordovisiyan sonunda, 443,5 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce bilinen ve tarihin ikinci en b\u00fcy\u00fck toplu yok olu\u015fu ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze kadar var olan t\u00fcm canl\u0131 t\u00fcrlerinin yakla\u015f\u0131k y\u00fczde 99,9\u2019un yok oldu\u011fu tahmin ediliyor. Bu t\u00fcrlerin bir k\u0131sm\u0131 kitlesel olarak yok olmu\u015ftur. K\u0131sa s\u00fcre i\u00e7erisinde meydana gelen bu yok olu\u015flar\u0131n pek \u00e7ok nedeni bulunur. Ancak nedenler genel olarak incelendi\u011finde, b\u00fcy\u00fck etkilere sahip olan, d\u00fcnyadaki madde ve enerji d\u00f6ng\u00fclerinin de\u011fi\u015fmesiyle ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131klar\u0131 fark edilebilir. Ani abiyotik de\u011fi\u015fimlerin ve bu de\u011fi\u015fimlerin etkilerinin biyotay\u0131 h\u0131zl\u0131 bir \u015fekilde bi\u00e7imlendirdi\u011fini s\u00f6ylemek m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr. Ani de\u011fi\u015fimlerde ilk akla gelenler aras\u0131nda, dinozorlar\u0131n da yok olmas\u0131na neden olan asteroit \u00e7arpmas\u0131 vard\u0131r. Asl\u0131nda d\u00fcnyaya pek \u00e7ok asteroit \u00e7arpm\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen hepsi bir toplu yok olu\u015f olay\u0131n\u0131 tetiklemez. Bir di\u011fer etken ise bazalt patlamas\u0131 selidir. Volkanik aktiviteler olan bazalt patlamas\u0131 seli, s\u00fclf\u00fcr oksit, karbondioksit gibi gazlar\u0131n, aerosollerin, tozun yay\u0131lmas\u0131na neden olabilir. Yery\u00fcz\u00fcne d\u00fc\u015fen \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131n azalmas\u0131 ve fotosentez olaylar\u0131n\u0131n etkilenmesi, asit ya\u011fmurlar\u0131 ve iklim de\u011fi\u015fikli\u011fi gibi etkiler ile canl\u0131l\u0131k \u00fczerine etki eder. Global so\u011fuma gibi di\u011fer etkilerin sonucu olarak g\u00f6zlemlenen deniz seviyesindeki de\u011fi\u015fimler ve \u00f6zellikle d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015fler ise bir di\u011fer kitlesel yok olu\u015f etkenidir. \u00d6zellikle k\u0131ta sahanl\u0131klar\u0131nda var olan denizel ya\u015fam formlar\u0131 \u00fczerine etkileri b\u00fcy\u00fckt\u00fcr. Kitlesel yok olu\u015flara bak\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 zaman, \u00e7o\u011fu yok olu\u015fta deniz seviyesinin d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc\u011f\u00fc fark edilir. \u0130klimsel de\u011fi\u015fimlerle yak\u0131ndan ilgili olan bir di\u011fer neden ise okyanuslarda ya\u015fanan anoksiye durumudur. Okyanuslardaki oksijenin t\u00fckenmesi durumunda ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan anoksiya, denizel ya\u015fam formlar\u0131n\u0131 da etkilemekte, aralar\u0131ndaki ili\u015fkilerin tamamen de\u011fi\u015fmesine neden olmaktad\u0131r. K\u0131talar\u0131n hareketi, bu kayman\u0131n di\u011fer sistemlere olan etkisi, kozmik olaylar ve bu olaylar\u0131n neden oldu\u011fu \u0131\u015f\u0131malar\u0131n ozon tabakas\u0131na etkisi, canl\u0131lar aras\u0131nda salg\u0131n hastal\u0131klar\u0131n g\u00f6r\u00fclmesi gibi di\u011fer pek \u00e7ok olay\u0131n da kitlesel yok olu\u015flara neden olabilece\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25525\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25525\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25525\" src=\"https:\/\/bilimvegelecek.com.tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/2-5-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25525\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">375 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce canl\u0131 t\u00fcrlerinin %75 kadar\u0131n\u0131n yok oldu\u011fu Ge\u00e7 Devoniyen kitlesel yok olu\u015fu.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Kitlesel yok olu\u015flar\u0131n nedenlerini incelerken baz\u0131 noktalar\u0131 g\u00f6z \u00f6n\u00fcnde bulundurmak gerekir. Meydana gelen olay sadece belirli bir grup canl\u0131n\u0131n yok olu\u015funa de\u011fil, pek \u00e7ok taksonun yok olmas\u0131na neden olmal\u0131d\u0131r ve bu yok olu\u015fun nedenlerinin mekanizmalar\u0131n\u0131n a\u00e7\u0131klanabilir olmas\u0131 gerekir. Bunun yan\u0131 s\u0131ra, yeni ortaya konan toplu yok olu\u015f modeline g\u00f6re tek bir katastropik olay tek ba\u015f\u0131na bir yok olu\u015f i\u00e7in yeterli olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi, \u00e7e\u015fitli olaylarla geli\u015fen ekosistem \u00fczerindeki bask\u0131 da tek ba\u015f\u0131na yeterli de\u011fildir. Toplu yok olu\u015flar \u00e7oklu nedenlere dayand\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p><strong>En b\u00fcy\u00fck yok olu\u015flar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Canl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n evrimi s\u00fcrecinde b\u00fcy\u00fck ya da k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck \u00f6l\u00e7ekli pek \u00e7ok toplu yok olu\u015f olay\u0131 meydana gelmi\u015ftir. Be\u015f tanesinin etkisi ve boyutu di\u011ferlerine g\u00f6re daha b\u00fcy\u00fckt\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p>Bunlardan g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze en uzak olan\u0131 Ordovisiyan-Sil\u00fcryan yok olu\u015fudur. Ordovisiyan sonunda, 443,5 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce bilinen ve tarihin ikinci en b\u00fcy\u00fck toplu yok olu\u015fu ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmi\u015ftir. T\u00fcm t\u00fcrlerin yakla\u015f\u0131k %60-70\u2019inin yok oldu\u011fu Ordovisiyan-Sil\u00fcryan toplu yok olu\u015funun nedeni olarak atmosferik CO2 seviyesinin d\u00fc\u015fmesi g\u00f6sterilir ve \u00f6zellikle denizel ya\u015fam formlar\u0131 ciddi olarak etkilenmi\u015flerdir. CO2\u2019nin d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f nedeni olarak, volkanik aktivite ya da gama \u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131 patlamas\u0131 nedeniyle ozon tabakas\u0131n\u0131n zarar g\u00f6rmesi gibi tezler bulunmaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Ordovisiyan-Siluryan yok olu\u015fundan g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze do\u011fru yakla\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131zda, 375 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce canl\u0131 t\u00fcrlerinin %75 kadar\u0131n\u0131n yok oldu\u011fu Ge\u00e7 Devoniyen kitlesel yok olu\u015funun ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti\u011fini g\u00f6r\u00fcr\u00fcz. Asl\u0131nda tek ba\u015f\u0131na keskin bir olay olmayan bu yok olu\u015fta \u00e7ok etkenli pek \u00e7ok yok olma olay\u0131 pe\u015f pe\u015fe devam etmi\u015ftir ve tam s\u00fcresi belirlenememi\u015ftir. Bu s\u00fcre\u00e7teki yok olu\u015f olaylar\u0131 genel olarak denizel ya\u015fam formlar\u0131n\u0131 etkilemi\u015ftir. K\u00fcresel so\u011fuma ve okyanuslardaki volkanik aktivitelerin neden oldu\u011fu okyanus anoksisi (okyanuslardaki oksijenin t\u00fckenmesi) ve deniz seviyesi de\u011fi\u015fimlerinden kaynakland\u0131\u011f\u0131na dair teoriler bulunmaktad\u0131r. Baz\u0131 istatistiksel \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar, yok olu\u015f h\u0131z\u0131n\u0131n artmas\u0131ndan \u00e7ok, t\u00fcrle\u015fme h\u0131z\u0131ndaki d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015fe dikkat \u00e7eker. Bu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f, o d\u00f6nemde kozmopolit t\u00fcrlerin ortaya \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131 ile de ilgili olabilir. Bunlar\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra o d\u00f6nem bitkilerin evrimi bak\u0131m\u0131ndan da \u00f6nemlidir. Bu d\u00f6nemde bitkilerde olu\u015fan de\u011fi\u015fikler, artan bitki biyok\u00fctlesi ve fotosentez nedeniyle atmosferik CO2 seviyesi azalm\u0131\u015f ve bu durum da k\u00fcresel so\u011fumaya katk\u0131 yapm\u0131\u015f olabilir.<\/p>\n<p>201,3 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce ise d\u00fcnyadaki t\u00fcrlerin yakla\u015f\u0131k olarak %70-75\u2019inin yok olmas\u0131na neden olan Trias-Jura kitlesel yok olu\u015fuyla bo\u015falan ekolojik ni\u015fler sonraki d\u00f6nemde dinozorlar\u0131n daha bask\u0131n hale gelmesine yard\u0131mc\u0131 olmu\u015ftur. Devoniyen yok olu\u015funun aksine bu olay hemen hemen 10.000 y\u0131ldan k\u0131sa s\u00fcrm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr. Bu yok olu\u015fun nedenlerine dair \u00e7e\u015fitli teoriler bulunur. Ancak nedeni hen\u00fcz net bir bi\u00e7imde a\u00e7\u0131klanamam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu yok olu\u015fun nedenlerine dair yakla\u015f\u0131mlardan birisi iklimin a\u015famal\u0131 olarak de\u011fi\u015fimi ve okyanuslar\u0131n asidifikasyonudur. Ancak bu yakla\u015f\u0131m yok olu\u015fun h\u0131z\u0131n\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131klayamamaktad\u0131r. Bu ani yok olu\u015fun nedeni olarak asteroit \u00e7arpmas\u0131 da d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr, ancak istenen etkiyi yaratabilecek ve bu d\u00f6neme tarihlenen bir krater hen\u00fcz tan\u0131mlanmam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Yo\u011fun volkanik aktivite ve bazalt patlamas\u0131 seli de bu yok olu\u015fun nedenleri aras\u0131nda olabilir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dinozorlar nas\u0131l yok oldu?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze en yak\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fck toplu yok olu\u015f ise 66 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce ger\u00e7ekle\u015fen Kratese-Paleosen yok olu\u015fudur. Bu yok olu\u015f u\u00e7amayan dinozorlar\u0131n da ortadan kalkmas\u0131na neden oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in ilgi \u00e7ekicidir. Sadece dinozorlar\u0131n de\u011fil hayvan ve bitki t\u00fcrlerinin d\u00f6rtte \u00fc\u00e7\u00fcn\u00fcn yok olmas\u0131na neden olmu\u015ftur. \u00c7ok k\u0131sa s\u00fcrede ger\u00e7ekle\u015fen bu toplu yok olu\u015f 2010 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar \u00f6zellikle \u201cDinozorlar nas\u0131l yok oldu?\u201d sorusuyla merak uyand\u0131rm\u0131\u015f, pek \u00e7ok tart\u0131\u015fman\u0131n konusu olmu\u015ftur. Ans\u0131z\u0131n yay\u0131lan etkili bir salg\u0131n hastal\u0131k, yo\u011fun volkanik aktiviteler ve asteroit \u00e7arpmas\u0131 bu tart\u0131\u015fmalarda en \u00e7ok g\u00fcndeme gelen nedenlerdir. Bunlar\u0131n en dikkat \u00e7ekeni asteroit \u00e7arpmas\u0131d\u0131r. 1980\u2019de Alvarez ve ekibi bu yok olu\u015f d\u00f6nemine gelen sedimentlerde yo\u011fun iridyum elementi bulmu\u015flard\u0131r. D\u00fcnyadaki yo\u011funlu\u011funun \u00e7ok \u00fcst\u00fcnde olmas\u0131 onlar\u0131 bu elementin d\u00fcnya d\u0131\u015f\u0131 kaynakl\u0131 oldu\u011fu sonucuna g\u00f6t\u00fcrm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr ve o d\u00f6nemde d\u00fc\u015fen bir asteroitin bu yok olu\u015fa neden oldu\u011funu \u00f6ne s\u00fcrm\u00fc\u015flerdir. Ancak bu yakla\u015f\u0131m bilim \u00e7evrelerinde fazla radikal bir g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015f olarak kar\u015f\u0131lanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25526\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25526\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25526\" src=\"https:\/\/bilimvegelecek.com.tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/3-5-300x154.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"154\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25526\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Triyas-Jura kitlesel yok olu\u015fu (200 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Daha sonraki \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda Meksika K\u00f6rfezi\u2019nin Yuc\u00e0tan k\u0131y\u0131s\u0131nda Chicxulub krateri ke\u015ffedilmi\u015ftir. 1990\u2019da tan\u0131mlanan bu krater, daha \u00f6nceden Alvarez ve ekibinin hesaplamalar\u0131 sonucu tahmin ettikleri krater \u00e7ap\u0131na yak\u0131n bir b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fcktedir. Yakla\u015f\u0131k olarak 180 km \u00e7ap\u0131ndaki kraterin olu\u015fmas\u0131na neden olan asteroitin ise 10-15 km \u00e7ap\u0131nda oldu\u011fu 2010 y\u0131l\u0131nda olu\u015fturulan uluslararas\u0131 panelde a\u00e7\u0131klanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. 41 biliminsan\u0131ndan olu\u015fan bu ekip konu hakk\u0131nda literat\u00fcr\u00fc tekrar ele alm\u0131\u015f ve bu yok olu\u015fa asteroitin neden oldu\u011funu kabul etmi\u015flerdir. Asteroit \u00e7arpt\u0131ktan sonra saatler i\u00e7inde olu\u015fan s\u0131cak \u015foku ile k\u00fcresel yang\u0131nlar\u0131n ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve bu ate\u015f topu evresinde t\u00fcrlerin yok oldu\u011fu \u00f6ne s\u00fcr\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7o\u011fu ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131 bu g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015f\u00fc kabul ederken baz\u0131lar\u0131 asteroitle birlikte di\u011fer etkenlerin de yok olu\u015fa katk\u0131da bulundu\u011funu s\u00f6ylemi\u015flerdir. Bunlar ise Deccan traps olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan bazalt patlamas\u0131 selleri, di\u011fer asteroitler, deniz seviyesinin d\u00fc\u015fmesi olup volkanik faaliyetler nedeniyle ya\u015fanan k\u00fcresel so\u011fuma, g\u00fcne\u015f \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131 yetersizli\u011fi y\u00fcz\u00fcnden fotosentezin inhibe olup birincil \u00fcretici taksonlar\u0131n azalmas\u0131yla besin zincirlerinin \u00e7\u00f6kmesidir.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25527\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25527\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25527\" src=\"https:\/\/bilimvegelecek.com.tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/5-5-300x208.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"208\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25527\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze en yak\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fck toplu yok olu\u015f ise 66 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce ger\u00e7ekle\u015fen ve dinozorlar\u0131n da yok olmas\u0131na neden olan Kratese-Paleosen yok olu\u015fudur.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dinozorlar\u0131n da yok olmas\u0131na neden olan Kratese Paleosen yok olu\u015funa dair yap\u0131lan son \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar asteroit etkisinin hangi mekanizmalarla toplu yok olu\u015fa neden oldu\u011funu ortaya koymu\u015ftur. \u00d6ne s\u00fcrd\u00fckleri hipotez, yakla\u015f\u0131k 10 km \u00e7ap\u0131ndaki bu asteroitin yery\u00fcz\u00fcne \u00e7arpmas\u0131yla olu\u015fan ilk \u015fok dalgas\u0131n\u0131n ard\u0131ndan depremlerin, tsunamilerin ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti\u011fi, daha sonraki ate\u015f topu evresinde k\u00fcresel yang\u0131nlar\u0131n \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131; bunlar\u0131n sonucunda atmosfer ve iklimdeki de\u011fi\u015fimin biyotay\u0131 etkiledi\u011fi y\u00f6n\u00fcndedir. \u00c7\u0131kan yang\u0131nlarda atmosfere y\u00fcksek miktarda toz, aerosol ve s\u00fclf\u00fcr bile\u015fikleri sal\u0131nm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.
