Uygarl\u0131k \u00f6ncesinin barbar insan\u0131 do\u011fan\u0131n zorunluluklar\u0131 d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda bir g\u00fcce boyun e\u011fmi\u015f de\u011fildir. Do\u011faya kar\u015f\u0131 verdi\u011fi m\u00fccadeleyi tek v\u00fccut y\u00fcr\u00fctmesini sa\u011flayan bir kolektif davranma yatk\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131na ve buradan do\u011fan muazzam bir g\u00fcce sahiptir. Antik toplum do\u011fan\u0131n hakk\u0131ndan gelip zenginlik \u00fcretmekte buna dayand\u0131\u011f\u0131 kadar, zenginli\u011fin e\u015fitsiz payla\u015f\u0131m\u0131nda da bu g\u00fcce kar\u015f\u0131, onu ehlile\u015ftirmek i\u00e7in m\u00fccadele ederek kurulmu\u015ftur. Bunun bar\u0131\u015f\u00e7\u0131l ve g\u00fcle oynaya ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmemi\u015f oldu\u011funu ve her k\u0131rbac\u0131n, el koyulan her toprak par\u00e7as\u0131n\u0131n bir isyana yol a\u00e7m\u0131\u015f olabilece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmemek i\u00e7in hi\u00e7bir neden yoktur.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Brecht\u2019in okumu\u015f i\u015f\u00e7isinin sorular\u0131n\u0131 hat\u0131rlars\u0131n\u0131z: Eski M\u0131s\u0131r\u2019daki Teb \u015fehrini kim kurmu\u015ftur acaba, kitaplar hep krallar\u0131n ad\u0131n\u0131 yazar ama kayalar\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131yan onlar m\u0131d\u0131r? Y\u0131k\u0131l\u0131p duran Babil\u2019i kim in\u015fa etmi\u015ftir her seferinde yeniden? \u00c7in Seddi\u2019ni bitiren duvarc\u0131lar s\u0131rra kadem mi basm\u0131\u015flard\u0131r birdenbire? Ya Roma\u2019daki an\u0131tlar\u0131 dikenler?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer ad\u0131mda f\u0131rt demi\u015f f\u0131rlam\u0131\u015f bir b\u00fcy\u00fck adam.<\/p>\n<p>Ama \u00f6deyen kim harcanan paralar\u0131?\u201d (1)<\/p>\n<p>Bu sorular, s\u0131radan insanlar\u0131n tarihte g\u00f6r\u00fcnmez olu\u015fu kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda basit bir serzeni\u015f olarak, sadece yi\u011fidin hakk\u0131 yi\u011fide verilsin diye sorulmu\u015f de\u011fildir. Ge\u00e7mi\u015fe d\u00f6n\u00fck bir \u201ciade-i itibar\u201d talebi olman\u0131n \u00f6tesinde, ayn\u0131 zamanda b\u00fct\u00fcn bir tarih biliminin ele\u015ftirisidir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>B\u00fcy\u00fck insanlar\u0131n tarihi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Klasik tarih her \u015feyi bireylerin, ama \u201cb\u00fcy\u00fck\u201d bireylerin, krallar\u0131n, sultanlar\u0131n, dini ve siyasi liderlerin, askerlerin eylemine atfeder. Buna g\u00f6re, \u00e7a\u011f de\u011fi\u015ftiren d\u00fczen de\u011fi\u015fiklikleri, \u00e7\u00f6ken ve do\u011fan uygarl\u0131klar, sava\u015flar, siyasi \u00e7alkant\u0131lar, k\u0131sacas\u0131 tarihin ak\u0131\u015f\u0131ndaki her d\u00f6neme\u00e7 bu insanlar\u0131n eylemlerinin eseridir. Bu eylemlerin ard\u0131ndaki motivasyonlar ise \u00e7e\u015fitli, hatta birbirinin z\u0131dd\u0131d\u0131r. Ki\u015fisel bir siyasi iktidar h\u0131rs\u0131 ya da kahramanca bir \u00f6zgecilik, intikam iste\u011fi ya da vefa borcu, ak\u0131lc\u0131 bir hesap ya da delice bir tutku, bu b\u00fcy\u00fck insanlar\u0131 tarih yazan eylemlere y\u00f6nelten etken olabilir. Tarihin kendisi bu kadar \u00f6znelken, buna bir de tarih\u00e7inin \u00f6znelli\u011fini ekleyin. Ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan, kaotik bir anlat\u0131lar y\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 olur.<\/p>\n<p>Burada, tarih\u00e7inin b\u00fct\u00fcn bu olaylar dizisine nas\u0131l bir anlam y\u00fckledi\u011fi ve bunlar\u0131n aras\u0131ndaki ba\u011flant\u0131lar\u0131 nas\u0131l kurdu\u011fu \u00f6nemsizle\u015fir. \u0130ster bunlar\u0131n ilahi bir yazg\u0131n\u0131n tecellisi oldu\u011funu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcns\u00fcn, ister b\u00fct\u00fcn tarihi insanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n bir amaca do\u011fru d\u00fc\u015fe kalka ilerlemesi olarak g\u00f6rs\u00fcn, isterse tarihin hi\u00e7bir i\u00e7 mant\u0131\u011f\u0131 olmayan rastlant\u0131sal olaylar\u0131n toplam\u0131 oldu\u011funu ileri s\u00fcrs\u00fcn, fark etmez. En ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 sonu\u00e7 dahi, iyi bir ar\u015fiv ara\u015ft\u0131rmas\u0131, sistemli ve ger\u00e7e\u011fe uygun bir kronolojik anlat\u0131 olman\u0131n \u00f6tesine ge\u00e7mez. Klasik tarih s\u00f6z konusu oldu\u011funda, g\u00f6r\u00fcnenin ard\u0131nda i\u015fleyen belirli yasalar\u0131 ke\u015ffetmek anlam\u0131nda bilimden s\u00f6z edilemez.<\/p>\n<p>\u0130nsanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce birikiminde bir s\u0131\u00e7rama olan ayd\u0131nlanma da, tarihi bu mertebeye y\u00fckseltememi\u015ftir. Tarih\u00e7i Hobsbawm, Frans\u0131z devrimi ile sanayi devrimlerinin ya\u015fand\u0131\u011f\u0131 burjuva uygarl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n alt\u0131n \u00e7a\u011f\u0131ndaki entelekt\u00fcel ba\u015far\u0131lar\u0131n g\u00f6rkemine ra\u011fmen, tarih disiplininin, insan toplumlar\u0131n\u0131n d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fc kavramaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan be\u015feri ve sosyal bilimlerin standartlar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7ok gerisinde kald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00f6yler. Marksizm, toplumlar\u0131n de\u011fi\u015fiminin dinamiklerini ke\u015ffedip temel yasalar\u0131n\u0131 saptama \u00e7abas\u0131nda \u00fcretici g\u00fc\u00e7lerin geli\u015fimini esas almas\u0131 ve bu geli\u015fim d\u00fczeyine \u00f6zg\u00fc \u00fcretim ili\u015fkileri ile bu temeldeki toplumsal bilin\u00e7 \u015fekillerine tekab\u00fcl eden hukuki ve siyasi \u00fcstyap\u0131 aras\u0131ndaki etkile\u015fimi tarihsel de\u011fi\u015fimin esas itici g\u00fcc\u00fc g\u00f6rmesiyle (3), sadece tarih de\u011fil b\u00fct\u00fcn sosyal bilimler \u00fczerinde derin bir etkide bulunmu\u015ftur. \u0130nsanl\u0131k tarihinin metafizik, idealist ve \u00f6znel a\u00e7\u0131klamas\u0131 b\u00f6ylelikle bertaraf edilmi\u015f olur.<\/p>\n<p>Bununla birlikte Marksizmin tarih anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131 mutlak yasac\u0131 ekonomik bir determinizm de de\u011fildir. \u201c\u0130nsanlar kendi tarihlerini kendileri yaparlar; ama keyfi, kendilerinin se\u00e7ti\u011fi ko\u015fullar i\u00e7erisinde de\u011fil, do\u011frudan kendilerine verili ve ge\u00e7mi\u015ften miras kalan ko\u015fullar i\u00e7erisinde&#8230;\u201d diyen de Marx\u2019\u0131n kendisidir. Marx toplumun \u00fcst\u00fcnde duran \u201cb\u00fcy\u00fck\u201d insanlar\u0131 ya da toplumsal ili\u015fkilerden ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z, soyut, tarih d\u0131\u015f\u0131 insan\u0131 tarihin a\u00e7\u0131klamas\u0131n\u0131n d\u0131\u015f\u0131na \u00e7\u0131karm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r; ancak geride kalan, insan\u0131n k\u00f6lece tabi oldu\u011fu kuru yasalar de\u011fildir. Marx bo\u015falan yere, yani tarihin \u00f6znesi koltu\u011funa, belirli \u00fcretim ili\u015fkileri i\u00e7erisinde yer alan ve buna g\u00f6re bir toplumsal bilince sahip insan\u0131 davet eder. B\u00f6ylelikle tarih g\u00f6rmezden geldi\u011fi ger\u00e7ek insan kitlelerine borcunu \u00f6deyebilecektir art\u0131k; b\u00fct\u00fcn bir insanl\u0131k tarihi, s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesi tarihi olarak yeniden yaz\u0131lmal\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Bu s\u00f6z, \u201c\u015fimdiye kadar var olmu\u015f b\u00fct\u00fcn toplumlar\u0131n tarihi, s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesi tarihidir\u201d, <em>Kom\u00fcnist Manifesto<\/em>\u2019nun ilk b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnde yer al\u0131r. Engels&#8217;in ifadesiyle <em>Manifesto<\/em>&#8216;nun \u00e7ekirde\u011fini olu\u015fturan ve esas olarak Marx&#8217;a ait olan d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce \u015fudur: \u201cHer tarihsel \u00e7a\u011fda, egemen iktisadi \u00fcretim ve de\u011fi\u015fim tarz\u0131 ve bunun zorunlu sonucu olan toplumsal \u00f6rg\u00fctlenme, o \u00e7a\u011f\u0131n \u00fcst\u00fcnde kurulmu\u015f oldu\u011fu ve politik ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnsel tarihinin sadece buradan hareketle a\u00e7\u0131klanabilece\u011fi temeli olu\u015fturur; dolay\u0131s\u0131yla insanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n t\u00fcm tarihi (topra\u011f\u0131 ortak m\u00fclkiyet halinde tutan ilkel a\u015firet toplumunun \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fclmesinden beri), s\u00f6m\u00fcren ve s\u00f6m\u00fcr\u00fclen, hakim ve ezilen s\u0131n\u0131flar aras\u0131ndaki s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadeleleri tarihi olmu\u015ftur.\u201d (4)<\/p>\n<p>B\u00fct\u00fcn bir tarih yeniden b\u00f6yle bir perspektifle yaz\u0131lmal\u0131d\u0131r dedik. Ama s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesinden toplumdaki \u00fcretim ili\u015fkileri i\u00e7inde ayn\u0131 konumu payla\u015fan insanlar\u0131n, bu konumun gere\u011fi olan \u00e7\u0131karlar\u0131n\u0131n bilincinde bir topluluk olarak bir araya gelip, kar\u015f\u0131t \u00e7\u0131karlara sahip di\u011fer bir toplulu\u011fun kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131na dikilmesini anlarsak, eli bo\u015f d\u00f6nece\u011fimiz kesindir.<\/p>\n<p>S\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesi \u00e7o\u011fu zaman -neredeyse hi\u00e7bir zaman- b\u00f6yle bir bilin\u00e7 unsurunu bar\u0131nd\u0131rarak seyretmez. Tarihte, hele de ge\u00e7mi\u015fe do\u011fru gittik\u00e7e, bug\u00fcnk\u00fc sendikalar ya da siyasi partiler gibi s\u0131n\u0131f kimli\u011fini cisimle\u015ftirmi\u015f \u00f6rg\u00fctlerin etraf\u0131nda toplanan kitlelerin, rafinele\u015fmi\u015f s\u0131n\u0131fsal programlar ya da talepler i\u00e7in kar\u015f\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131ya geli\u015flerini g\u00f6rmeyi ummak bo\u015funad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>S\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesi, bu m\u00fccadelenin taraflar\u0131 tarihsel rollerinin fark\u0131nda olsunlar ya da olmas\u0131nlar, s\u00f6m\u00fcr\u00fcye dayanan s\u0131n\u0131fl\u0131 toplumlar\u0131n temel bir \u00f6zelli\u011fidir. S\u00f6m\u00fcr\u00fc varsa s\u0131n\u0131flar, s\u0131n\u0131flar varsa s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesi vard\u0131r. S\u00f6m\u00fcr\u00fcy\u00fc azaltma ya da art\u0131rma y\u00f6n\u00fcndeki bilin\u00e7li ya da bilin\u00e7siz her giri\u015fim bunun g\u00fcndelik ve kesintisiz s\u00fcregiden bir bi\u00e7imidir. Buna s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesinin dip ak\u0131nt\u0131s\u0131 diyelim.<\/p>\n<p>Ne var ki yukar\u0131da, f\u0131rt\u0131nan\u0131n patlay\u0131p dalgalar\u0131n y\u00fckseldi\u011fi zamanlarda da s\u0131n\u0131fsal konumlar \u00e7o\u011funlukla belirsizdir. M\u00fccadele i\u00e7indeki s\u0131n\u0131f a\u00e7\u0131k\u00e7a kendi \u00e7\u0131karlar\u0131 i\u00e7in sahneye \u00e7\u0131kmaz, ancak bir dinsel \u00f6\u011fretinin vaatlerinde, efsanele\u015ftirdi\u011fi kahramanlar\u0131n simgelediklerinde, tepki ve \u00f6fkesinin y\u00f6neldi\u011fi hedeflerde sezilebilir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antik toplumun s\u0131n\u0131f yap\u0131s\u0131<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bu ko\u015fullarda antik \u00e7a\u011f\u0131n tarihini bir s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesi tarihi olarak yazmak olduk\u00e7a g\u00fc\u00e7le\u015fir. Marx\u2019\u0131n kendisi bunu bir i\u015f olarak edinmi\u015f de\u011fildir. Kapitalizm \u00f6ncesi ekonomi bi\u00e7imleri \u00fczerine \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 da\u011f\u0131n\u0131kt\u0131r, el yordam\u0131yla yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r ve esas olarak Roma ve Yunan uygarl\u0131klar\u0131 ile Cermen topluluklar\u0131 \u00fczerinedir. Yine de geriye \u00f6nemli bir temel b\u0131rakm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Sonras\u0131ndaki Asya tipi \u00fcretim tarz\u0131 ve antik toplumun ba\u015fat s\u00f6m\u00fcr\u00fc bi\u00e7imi \u00fczerine tart\u0131\u015fmalar bu temelde y\u00fcr\u00fcm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr. Antik toplumun s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesi tarihine ili\u015fkin buradan edinebilece\u011fimiz, s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesinin dip ak\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131 ya da f\u0131rt\u0131nalar\u0131n\u0131n kayd\u0131ndan ziyade, denizin kendisinin yukar\u0131dan bir g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcs\u00fc ve ak\u0131nt\u0131 sistemlerinin genel bilgisidir. M\u00fccadelenin cereyan etti\u011fi sahne budur.<\/p>\n<p>Antik toplum k\u00f6leci toplum olarak bilinir. Bu antik toplumun ekonomisinin k\u00f6le ekonomisinden ibaret oldu\u011fu, toplumun sadece k\u00f6leler ve k\u00f6le sahiplerinden ibaret oldu\u011fu anlam\u0131na gelmez. Sosyoekonomik formasyonlar aras\u0131ndaki ge\u00e7i\u015fler kal\u0131n \u00e7izgilerle saptanamaz. Marx\u2019\u0131n insan toplumunun geli\u015fimindeki evreler olarak s\u0131ralad\u0131\u011f\u0131 ilkel kom\u00fcnal, k\u00f6leci, feodal ve kapitalist toplumlar\u0131n t\u00fcm\u00fc i\u00e7in ge\u00e7erlidir bu. S\u0131n\u0131fs\u0131z toplumlardan do\u011fan antik toplumda n\u00fcfusunun \u00e7o\u011funlu\u011funu, buradan miras kalan toplumsal yap\u0131lar olu\u015fturabilir. Bu miras \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fclmenin derecesine g\u00f6re karma\u015f\u0131k ya da homojen topluluklar olabilir. Ancak ne bu m\u00fccadelenin g\u00fcndelik g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcmlerinin izini s\u00fcrmek, ne de farkl\u0131 bi\u00e7imlere b\u00fcr\u00fcnm\u00fc\u015f patlamalar\u0131 saptayabilmek kolayd\u0131r. Kay\u0131t tutup yaz\u0131l\u0131 bir \u015fey b\u0131rakmak zaten egemenlerin mutlak tekelindedir. Yine de tabletlere yans\u0131m\u0131\u015f vergi reformlar\u0131, azat etmeler, toprak al\u0131\u015fveri\u015fleri gibi muhasebe kay\u0131tlar\u0131 ipu\u00e7lar\u0131 sunar.<\/p>\n<p>Hi\u00e7bir kay\u0131t, hi\u00e7bir ipucu olmasa dahi, antik toplumun s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesinin en sert bi\u00e7imlerine tan\u0131kl\u0131k etti\u011fini iddia etmek m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc di\u011fer s\u0131n\u0131fl\u0131 toplumlardan farkl\u0131 olarak, \u00f6mr\u00fc hayat\u0131nda s\u00f6m\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn hi\u00e7bir bi\u00e7imini g\u00f6rmemi\u015f insanlar \u00fczerinde kurulmu\u015ftur.<\/p>\n<p>Uygarl\u0131k \u00f6ncesinin barbar insan\u0131 do\u011fan\u0131n zorunluluklar\u0131 d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda bir g\u00fcce boyun e\u011fmi\u015f de\u011fildir. Do\u011faya kar\u015f\u0131 verdi\u011fi m\u00fccadeleyi tek v\u00fccut y\u00fcr\u00fctmesini sa\u011flayan bir kolektif davranma yatk\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131na ve buradan do\u011fan muazzam bir g\u00fcce sahiptir. Antik toplum do\u011fan\u0131n hakk\u0131ndan gelip zenginlik \u00fcretmekte buna dayand\u0131\u011f\u0131 kadar, zenginli\u011fin e\u015fitsiz payla\u015f\u0131m\u0131nda da bu g\u00fcce kar\u015f\u0131, onu ehlile\u015ftirmek i\u00e7in m\u00fccadele ederek kurulmu\u015ftur. Bunun bar\u0131\u015f\u00e7\u0131l ve g\u00fcle oynaya ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmemi\u015f oldu\u011funu; her k\u0131rbac\u0131n, el koyulan her toprak par\u00e7as\u0131n\u0131n bir isyana yol a\u00e7m\u0131\u015f olabilece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmemek i\u00e7in hi\u00e7bir neden yoktur.<\/p>\n<p>Antik toplumda uygarl\u0131kla tan\u0131\u015fan barbar\u0131n hen\u00fcz kolektif haf\u0131zas\u0131 taptazedir; o ilkel yal\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131n, e\u015fitli\u011fin, payla\u015f\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n, do\u011fru d\u00fcr\u00fcstl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn izleri silinmemi\u015ftir. Gelenek g\u00f6renekleri de, dinsel inan\u00e7lar\u0131 da bunlarla \u015fekillenmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>Platon eski Yunan\u2019da hen\u00fcz soylar\u0131n\u0131n t\u00fckenmedi\u011fi bir d\u00f6nemde onlar\u0131 \u015f\u00f6yle anlatm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r: \u201cO g\u00fcnlerde b\u00f6l\u00fcnmeler ve sava\u015flar da yoktu. Bunun pek \u00e7ok nedeni vard\u0131. Her \u015feyden \u00f6nce, bu ilkel insanlar\u0131n yaln\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131 onlarda birbirlerine kar\u015f\u0131 \u015fefkat ve iyi niyet yaratm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. \u0130kincisi, ge\u00e7imlerini sa\u011flayabilmek i\u00e7in birbirleriyle dala\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131 gerektiren bir durum yoktu, baz\u0131 \u00f6zel durumlar d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda bolluk i\u00e7inde yay\u0131lm\u0131\u015flard\u0131. \u0130lkel \u00e7a\u011fda bereketli topraklar yiyeceklerinin \u00e7o\u011funu onlara sunuyordu, bol miktarda et ve s\u00fcte sahiptiler, \u00f6teki yiyecekler i\u00e7in ise avlan\u0131rlard\u0131. Giyim, bar\u0131nma, alet edevat bak\u0131m\u0131ndan da bolluk i\u00e7indeydiler. Tanr\u0131 onlara demire ihtiya\u00e7 duymadan hayatta kalabilecekleri iki sanat\u0131, dokumac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve \u00e7\u00f6mlek\u00e7ili\u011fi vermi\u015fti. Bu y\u00fczden o g\u00fcnlerde insano\u011flu ne \u00e7ok yoksuldu, ne de yoksulluk insanlar aras\u0131nda bir farkl\u0131l\u0131\u011fa yol a\u00e7\u0131yordu.
