Poliploit olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan bu bitkilerin genomu iki set anneden iki set babadan olmak \u00fczere d\u00f6rt set kromozomdan olu\u015fur ve bu y\u00fczden orijinal t\u00fcrlerin yakla\u015f\u0131k iki kat\u0131 gene sahiptirler. Evrimsel biyologlar yakla\u015f\u0131k 50 y\u0131l \u00f6nce bu durumun evrimi h\u0131zland\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ve yeni t\u00fcrlerin olu\u015fumunu m\u00fcmk\u00fcn k\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6ne s\u00fcrd\u00fcler. Ancak bu t\u00fcr genomlar \u00e7ok karma\u015f\u0131k oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in bu teoriyi genetik d\u00fczeyde kan\u0131tlamak m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olmam\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deneyler evrimsel biyologlar\u0131n teorisini do\u011frulad\u0131<\/strong><br \/>\nZ\u00fcrih \u00dcniversitesi (UZH) Evrimsel Biyoloji ve \u00c7evre Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131 Fak\u00fcltesi\u2019nden, Timothy Paape ve Kentaro Shimizu\u2019nun ba\u015f\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7ekti\u011fi bir ekip bu teoriyi bir dizi deneyle do\u011frulad\u0131. Bunun i\u00e7in \u0130svi\u00e7re ve Japonya\u2019dan bilim insanlar\u0131 <em>Arabidopsis kamchatica<\/em> ad\u0131 verilen ve rockcress cinsine ait bir bitkiyi kulland\u0131. Bu bitkinin do\u011fal genetik \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fini ara\u015ft\u0131rmak i\u00e7in d\u00fcnyan\u0131n farkl\u0131 b\u00f6lgelerinden 25 poliploit bitki ve bu bitkilere ait 18 atasal bitkinin genomu dizilendi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Genomlar son teknoloji sayesinde dizilendi<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Arabidopsis kamchatica<\/em>, <em>A. halleri<\/em> ve <em>A. lyrata<\/em> bitkilerinin 65.000 ile 145.000 y\u0131l aras\u0131 bir s\u00fcre \u00f6nce do\u011fal olarak melezle\u015fmesi sonucunda ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. 450 milyon baz \u00e7iftine sahip olan genomu poliploit bitkiler i\u00e7in g\u00f6rece k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen olduk\u00e7a karma\u015f\u0131k. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar son model dizileme y\u00f6ntemleri ve teknolojileri ile biyoinformatik ara\u00e7lar\u0131 kullan\u0131larak bitkilerin genetik dizilerini belirlemeyi ba\u015fard\u0131lar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yararl\u0131 genetik mutasyonlar ve fazladan gen kopyalar\u0131<\/strong><br \/>\nSahip oldu\u011fu b\u00fcy\u00fck genetik donan\u0131m sayesinde <em>A. kamchatica<\/em> yeni \u00e7evresel ko\u015fullara uyum sa\u011flama konusunda olduk\u00e7a ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131. \u201cBu sonu\u00e7larla gen duplikasyonlar\u0131n\u0131n canl\u0131lar\u0131n uyum yetene\u011fini olumlu etkileyebilece\u011fini molek\u00fcler-genetik bir seviyede g\u00f6stermi\u015f olduk.\u201d diyor bitki bilimci Timothy Paape.
