Archimedes\u2019den beri y\u00fczlerce y\u0131ld\u0131r matematik\u00e7ilerin ve di\u011fer biliminsanlar\u0131n\u0131n merak ve ilgiyle koklad\u0131klar\u0131 bir \u00e7i\u00e7ek olagelmi\u015ftir. Bu say\u0131n\u0131n bir\u00e7ok \u00f6zelli\u011fi vard\u0131r: Transandant (a\u015fk\u0131n) yani katsay\u0131lar\u0131 tam say\u0131 olan polinomun k\u00f6k\u00fc olamayan say\u0131d\u0131r. Kaynak\u00e7adan bu y\u00f6ntemlere eri\u015filebilir.<\/p>\n<p>Binlerce y\u0131ld\u0131r insanlar Pi\u2019nin daha \u00e7ok ondal\u0131k basama\u011f\u0131n\u0131 hesaplamaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaktad\u0131r ve bu ondal\u0131k basamaklar\u0131n nas\u0131l bir da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi merak konusudur.<\/p>\n<p>pi\u2019ye duyulan bu ilgi nereden kaynaklanmaktad\u0131r? pi\u2019nin bug\u00fcne kadar bilinen \u00f6zelliklerinden daha ba\u015fka ke\u015ffedilmeye haz\u0131r hangi \u00f6zellikleri vard\u0131r? Matematik bah\u00e7esinin en zarif \u00e7i\u00e7e\u011fi orada durmakta ve belki de sonsuz \u00f6zelliklerini sunmaya haz\u0131r bir sevgili gibi beklemektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Hemen hemen t\u00fcm matematik kitaplar\u0131nda, \u00f6zellikle matemati\u011fe ilgi duyan ki\u015filerin okumas\u0131 i\u00e7in yaz\u0131lan kitaplarda \u00a0pi\u2019nin \u00f6zelliklerinden s\u00f6z edilmeden ge\u00e7ilmemi\u015ftir.Pi\u2019nin geometri, olas\u0131l\u0131k, diferansiyel ve integral hesaplamalar\u0131nda nas\u0131l farkl\u0131 bir bi\u00e7imde kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6rmek ger\u00e7ekten ilgin\u00e7tir.<\/p>\n<p>Niye biri bug\u00fcn s\u00fcper bilgisayarlarla yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi, pi\u2019nin de\u011ferini milyarlarca basama\u011fa kadar hesaplamak istesin? Pi\u2019nin ondal\u0131k basamaklar\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131 bu ilginin kayna\u011f\u0131 nedir? Bu, s\u00fcper bilgisayarlar\u0131n donan\u0131m ve yaz\u0131l\u0131mlar\u0131n\u0131n kapasitelerinin \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fclmesinde kullan\u0131l\u0131r. Bu say\u0131lar tam da rasgele da\u011f\u0131lm\u0131\u015f de\u011fil mi acaba? Belki de matematik\u00e7ilerin y\u00fczy\u0131llar boyunca Pi\u2019ye duyduklar\u0131 ilgi ve hayranl\u0131k, da\u011fc\u0131lar\u0131 hep daha y\u00fckseklere t\u0131rmanmaya y\u00f6nelten g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc istek ve duygulara benzetilebilir.<\/p>\n<p>Asl\u0131nda t\u00fcm bu sorular\u0131n yan\u0131tlar\u0131 hen\u00fcz a\u00e7\u0131k bir \u015fekilde verilebilmi\u015f de\u011fildir. Her g\u00fcn pi ile ilgili yeni bir ara\u015ft\u0131rma yaz\u0131s\u0131 yay\u0131nlanmaktad\u0131r. \u0130nsan\u0131n merak ve tutkusu s\u00fcrd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc s\u00fcrece pi\u2019de yeni bir estetik y\u00f6n bulma arzusu sonsuza dek devam edecek gibi g\u00f6r\u00fcnmektedir. Bu yaz\u0131, rasgele dizi kavram\u0131 \u00e7er\u00e7evesinde pi\u2019nin ondal\u0131k basamaklar\u0131n\u0131 ele almakta, bu ondal\u0131k basamaklar\u0131n rasgele dizi tan\u0131m\u0131na uygunlu\u011funun tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131 amac\u0131n\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131maktad\u0131r. Model, ger\u00e7ek d\u00fcnyadaki bir sistemin yap\u0131 ve i\u015fleyi\u015finin, ilgili oldu\u011fu bilim sahas\u0131n\u0131n kavram ve kanunlar\u0131na ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak ifade edilmesidir. Model ger\u00e7ek d\u00fcnyadaki bir olgunun bir anlat\u0131m\u0131d\u0131r, temsilidir. Modeller ger\u00e7e\u011fin kendileri de\u011fildir ve ne kadar karma\u015f\u0131k g\u00f6r\u00fcnseler de ger\u00e7e\u011fin eksik anlat\u0131m\u0131d\u0131rlar. Sim\u00fclasyon benzetim, taklit anlam\u0131na gelen bir s\u00f6zc\u00fckt\u00fcr. G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde moda bir s\u00f6zc\u00fck olarak kullan\u0131ld\u0131r. Modellemede insan akl\u0131n\u0131n en g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc iki arac\u0131 matematik ve istatistiktir. \u0130statistik \u00f6zellikle, rasgelelik i\u00e7eren olgular\u0131n modellenmesinde \u00f6n plana \u00e7\u0131kar. Bu durumda \u201crasgelelik\u201d nedir sorusu \u00f6nem ta\u015f\u0131r. \u201cRasgelelik\u201d tart\u0131\u015fmas\u0131na burada girilmeyecektir. \u201cRagelelik\u201d bilim, felsefe ve sanat alanlar\u0131nda tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lan ba\u015fl\u0131ca konulardand\u0131r. Bu kavramla ilgili geni\u015f bilgiye ula\u015fmak i\u00e7in kaynak\u00e7adaki makalelerden yararlan\u0131labilir.<\/p>\n<p>Ekonometri, Say\u0131sal \u00c7\u00f6z\u00fcmleme, \u015eifreleme, Bilgisayar Programlama, Deneysel Fizik, \u0130statistik&#8230; gibi bir\u00e7ok uygulamal\u0131 bilim alan\u0131nda rasgele say\u0131lar sim\u00fclasyon a\u015famas\u0131nda kullan\u0131l\u0131r. Sim\u00fclasyon; rasgelelik i\u00e7eren olay, sistem ve s\u00fcre\u00e7lerin bilgisayar ortam\u0131nda model \u00fczerinde deneyinin yap\u0131lmas\u0131d\u0131r. Son y\u0131llarda sim\u00fclasyon, \u00f6zellikle e\u011fitim alan\u0131nda kullan\u0131lan y\u00f6ntemlerin ba\u015f\u0131nda gelmektedir. Sim\u00fclasyonun temelinde rasgele say\u0131lar yatar. Yap\u0131lan sim\u00fclasyon i\u015fleminin ger\u00e7ek d\u00fcnyadaki olay\u0131 iyi bir \u015fekilde taklit edebilmesi istenir, e\u011fer taklit iyi yap\u0131lam\u0131yorsa deney ger\u00e7ek d\u00fcnyadaki olay\u0131 iyi temsil edemeyecektir. Bu nedenlerle rasgele dizi kavram\u0131n\u0131n uygulama a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan \u00f6nemi b\u00fcy\u00fckt\u00fcr. \u0130statistiksel da\u011f\u0131l\u0131mlardan g\u00f6zlem almak i\u00e7in (0,1) aral\u0131\u011f\u0131nda d\u00fczg\u00fcn da\u011f\u0131l\u0131ma sahip rasgele de\u011fi\u015fkenlerin \u00e7e\u015fitli fonksiyonlar\u0131 kullan\u0131l\u0131r. E\u011fer (0,1) aral\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki d\u00fczg\u00fcn da\u011f\u0131l\u0131mdan rasgele say\u0131 \u00fcretilemiyorsa do\u011fal olarak di\u011fer da\u011f\u0131l\u0131mlardan da say\u0131 \u00fcretmek m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olmayacakt\u0131r. Bunun i\u00e7in \u00e7e\u015fitli \u00fcrete\u00e7ler (fonsiyonel ili\u015fki) kullan\u0131lmakta ve \u00e7e\u015fitli istatistiksel \u00f6zellikleri sa\u011flayan \u00fcrete\u00e7ler rasgele say\u0131 \u00fcrete\u00e7leri olarak kullan\u0131l\u0131r. Bu say\u0131lar belirli matematiksel kurallara g\u00f6re \u00fcretildiklerinden \u201cs\u00f6zde rasgele say\u0131\u201d olarak bilinir. Bilgisayar ortam\u0131nda bu say\u0131lar\u0131 \u00fcretmek i\u00e7in pek \u00e7ok y\u00f6ntem kullan\u0131l\u0131r. Bu y\u00f6ntemlerin ba\u015f\u0131nda do\u011frusal e\u015flenik \u00fcrete\u00e7leri gelmektedir. Bunlar, x(k+1)=a*x(k)+c (mod m) \u015feklindedir. x(0) ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7, de\u011feri a, c ve m say\u0131lar\u0131 belirlenerek ard\u0131\u015f\u0131k olarak say\u0131lar \u00fcretilir. Burada \u00f6nemli olan say\u0131lar\u0131n birbirini tekrar etmemesi ve istenildi\u011fi kadar \u00fcretilebilmesidir.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcretilen bu say\u0131lar\u0131n baz\u0131 istatistiksel \u00f6zellikleri de sa\u011flamas\u0131 istenir. Bu \u015fekilde \u00fcretilen say\u0131lara \u201cs\u00f6zde rasgele\u201d say\u0131 denilir. Biz bilgisayarda x(0) ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7 de\u011ferini a, c, m say\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 bilmedi\u011fimizden ve bunlar baz\u0131 testleri ge\u00e7ti\u011finden rasgele say\u0131 olarak g\u00f6r\u00fcr\u00fcz. Ger\u00e7ek rasgele say\u0131lar, rasgelelik i\u00e7eren deneyler sonucunda ya da elektronik ara\u00e7lar sayesinde \u00fcretilir. Kolayl\u0131k olsun diye bilgisayarda bu s\u00f6zde rasgele say\u0131lar kullan\u0131l\u0131r. Bu rasgele say\u0131lar\u0131 \u00fcretmek ayr\u0131 bir uzmanl\u0131k alan\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Pi \u00a0say\u0131s\u0131 rasgele say\u0131lar kullan\u0131larak da hesaplanabilir. (x,y) koordinat sisteminde \u20131\u2264x\u22641 ve \u20131\u2264y\u22641 karesini ele alal\u0131m ve bu b\u00f6lgeye S diyelim. Yine bu koordinat sistemindeki birim \u00e7emberi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnelim. Birim \u00e7emberin olu\u015fturdu\u011fu b\u00f6lgeye de A diyelim. Bu kareye rasgele oklar f\u0131rlatal\u0131m. Oklar\u0131n birim \u00e7emberin i\u00e7ine d\u00fc\u015fmesi ancak x2+y2\u22641 e\u015fitli\u011fi sa\u011fland\u0131\u011f\u0131nda ger\u00e7ekle\u015fir. Karenin alan\u0131 4, \u00e7emberin alan\u0131 \uf070 oldu\u011fundan rasgele f\u0131rlat\u0131lan bir okun birim \u00e7emberin i\u00e7ine d\u00fc\u015fmesi olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 P(A)=Alan(A)\/Alan(S)=\/4 olarak bulunur. Pagels \u201crasgelelik nedir?\u201d sorusuna yan\u0131t vermeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131rken, matematiksel ve fiziksel rasgelelik problemleri aras\u0131nda ayr\u0131m yapman\u0131n \u00f6nemine de\u011finmi\u015ftir. \u201cMatematiksel problem, say\u0131lar veya fonksiyonlar\u0131n rasgele s\u0131ras\u0131n\u0131n ne anlama geldi\u011fini tan\u0131mlayan bir mant\u0131ksal problemdir. Fiziksel rasgelelik problemi ger\u00e7ek fiziksel olaylar\u0131n rasgelelik konusundaki matematiksel kriterlere uyup uymad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirlemektir. Rasgeleli\u011fin matematiksel bir tan\u0131m\u0131na sahip olana kadar, do\u011fal olaylar\u0131n bir dizisinin ger\u00e7ekten rasgele olup olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirleyemeyiz.
