G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczden 145 ila 100 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6ncesine kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k gelen ve Erken Kretase olarak bilinen jeolojik devre ait izler iknoloji (izbilim) d\u00fcnyas\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan \u00e7ok de\u011ferli. Zira bu koleksiyon, \u0130ngiltere s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131 i\u00e7inde \u015fimdiye kadar bulunmu\u015f en \u00e7e\u015fitli ve ayr\u0131nt\u0131l\u0131 izleri te\u015fkil ediyor. Boylar\u0131 2 cm\u2019den 60 cm\u2019ye kadar de\u011fi\u015fen ayak izleri, Hastings-Fairlight falezlerinde son y\u0131llarda ger\u00e7ekle\u015fen yo\u011fun erozyon faaliyetlerinin sonucunda ortaya \u00e7\u0131km\u0131\u015f. Asl\u0131nda iknolojiyi bu kadar ilgin\u00e7 k\u0131lan fakat bir o kadar da zorlayan \u00f6zellik tam da bu: Kemik benzeri kal\u0131nt\u0131lar tek bir bireye\/t\u00fcre ait ipucu sunarken genelde toplu halde bulunan ayak izleri toplulu\u011fun kimlerden olu\u015ftu\u011funa, beslenme al\u0131\u015fkanl\u0131klar\u0131na, grupla\u015fma modellerine, k\u0131saca dinozorlar\u0131n ya\u015fam bi\u00e7imlerine dair fikir verebiliyor. \u00d6te yandan az say\u0131da bireyin de \u00e7ok say\u0131da ayak izi b\u0131rakmas\u0131 m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olaca\u011f\u0131ndan tespit edilen izlerin ka\u00e7 farkl\u0131 bireye ait oldu\u011funun saptanmas\u0131 bir hi\u00e7 kolay de\u011fil.
