Sakin ve bulutsuz bir gecede aniden parlay\u0131p uzayan ve hemen s\u00f6n\u00fcveren bir \u0131\u015f\u0131k huzmesi\u2026 Bunun neden oldu\u011funa ve neleri do\u011furaca\u011f\u0131na ili\u015fkin her dinde ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrde baz\u0131 do\u011fa\u00fcst\u00fc yan\u0131tlar da verilmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n<p>Bundan birka\u00e7 y\u00fczy\u0131l \u00f6ncesine kadar y\u0131ld\u0131z kaymas\u0131n\u0131n neden ve nas\u0131l oldu\u011funa ili\u015fkin net bir bilgi sahibi de\u011fildik. Y\u0131ld\u0131z kaymas\u0131n\u0131n ne oldu\u011funa ili\u015fkin detayl\u0131 bir a\u00e7\u0131klama i\u00e7in \u00c7a\u011flar Sunay\u2019\u0131n <a href=\"https:\/\/kitaplik.bilimvegelecek.com.tr\/product\/50-soruda-evren\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>50 Soruda Evren<\/em><\/a> kitab\u0131ndaki (1) \u015fu b\u00f6l\u00fcme g\u00f6z atabiliriz:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Y\u0131ld\u0131z kaymas\u0131 nedir?<\/strong><br \/>\nG\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fcn a\u00e7\u0131k oldu\u011fu bir gece, \u0131\u015f\u0131k kirlili\u011finin de olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir yerde, g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcnde y\u0131ld\u0131z kaymas\u0131 g\u00f6rme olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131z y\u00fcksektir. Halk aras\u0131nda \u201cakan y\u0131ld\u0131z\u201d ya da \u201ckayan y\u0131ld\u0131z\u201d diye adland\u0131r\u0131lan bu \u0131\u015f\u0131k g\u00f6sterisine bilim insanlar\u0131 meteor der. Meteorlar\u0131n olu\u015fmas\u0131na yol a\u00e7anlar, y\u0131ld\u0131zlar de\u011fildir. Asl\u0131nda meteor uzayda de\u011fil, atmosferde -yerden 75 km ile 100 km aras\u0131 y\u00fckseklikte- ger\u00e7ekle\u015fen bir \u0131\u015f\u0131k olay\u0131d\u0131r. Her g\u00fcn D\u00fcnya\u2019ya bin tonun \u00fczerinde uzay tozu ve minik g\u00f6kta\u015f\u0131 \u201cd\u00f6k\u00fcl\u00fcr\u201d. Bunlar\u0131n, \u00e7ap\u0131 10 m\u2019ye kadar olanlar\u0131na meteoroit denir. Meteoroitler, asteroit ya da kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlardan kopan par\u00e7alard\u0131r. Bunlar\u0131n aras\u0131nda birka\u00e7 milimetre ile birka\u00e7 santimetre \u00e7ap\u0131nda olanlar, saatte 10.000 km ile 70.000 km aras\u0131nda bir h\u0131zla atmosfere girip renkli ve \u00e7ok parlak \u0131\u015f\u0131klar \u00e7\u0131kararak \u201cyanar\u201d ve buharla\u015f\u0131rlar. Atmosferin bir par\u00e7as\u0131 olurlar. Geceleri \u201cy\u0131ld\u0131z kaymas\u0131\u201d olarak g\u00f6rd\u00fcklerimiz, i\u015fte bu parlamalard\u0131r. Meteoroitlerin i\u00e7erdi\u011fi maddelerin t\u00fcr\u00fcne g\u00f6re meteorun rengi de\u011fi\u015fir. E\u011fer atmosfere giren meteoroit daha b\u00fcy\u00fckse, yanma s\u00fcresi -yani g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcnde g\u00f6r\u00fcnme s\u00fcresi- daha uzun olur ve daha parlak g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcr. Boyutlar\u0131 metrelerle \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fclenler, k\u00fctlelerinin b\u00fcy\u00fck b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fc atmosferde yitirmelerine kar\u015f\u0131n, yery\u00fcz\u00fcne ula\u015fabilir. Bunlar da genellikle okyanuslara ya da insan yerle\u015fiminin olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 bo\u015f alanlara d\u00fc\u015fer.(*) Yery\u00fcz\u00fcne her g\u00fcn d\u00fc\u015fen binlerce minik meteoridin aras\u0131nda ortalama bir tane 40 cm \u00e7ap\u0131nda meteorit olur; yery\u00fcz\u00fcne ula\u015fabilen meteoroitlere meteorit denir. Y\u0131lda ortalama bir tane 4 m \u00e7ap\u0131nda ve y\u00fczy\u0131lda bir de 20 m \u00e7ap\u0131nda meteorit D\u00fcnya\u2019ya \u00e7arpar. Bu gecelerde \u0131\u015f\u0131k kirlili\u011finin olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 b\u00f6lgelerde, saatte ortalama 50 kayan y\u0131ld\u0131z g\u00f6rmek olas\u0131d\u0131r. Perseid meteor ya\u011fmuruna Swift-Tuttle kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n\u0131n geride b\u0131rakt\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00f6k\u00fcnt\u00fcler yol a\u00e7ar. Lewis Swift ve Horace Tuttle taraf\u0131ndan, birbirlerinden ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z olarak, 1862\u2019de ke\u015ffedilen bu kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n periyodu 135 y\u0131ld\u0131r.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Y\u0131l\u0131n belli gecelerinde y\u0131ld\u0131z kaymas\u0131 say\u0131s\u0131nda art\u0131\u015f olur. Bunlar Ay\u2019\u0131n ve \u0131\u015f\u0131k kirlili\u011finin olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 yerlerden izlendi\u011finde, ger\u00e7ekten de \u00e7ok etkileyici g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcler sunar. Bu olaylara meteor ya\u011fmuru denir. B\u00f6yle gecelerde saatte ortalama 20-100 kayan y\u0131ld\u0131z g\u00f6rebilirsiniz. Bunun nedeni, o s\u0131rada D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n uzay\u0131n meteoroitlerle dolu bir b\u00f6lgesinden ge\u00e7iyor olmas\u0131d\u0131r. Meteoroitlerle dolu b\u00f6lgeler, asl\u0131nda bir zamanlar baz\u0131 kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n ge\u00e7ti\u011fi ve kuyruklar\u0131ndaki d\u00f6k\u00fcnt\u00fcleri geride b\u0131rakt\u0131\u011f\u0131 y\u00f6r\u00fcngelerdir.<\/p>\n<p>G\u00f6kbilimciler kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlara \u201ckirli kartoplar\u0131\u201d da der. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc bir kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fck b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fc buz ve k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck kaya par\u00e7alar\u0131, ta\u015flar ve toz olu\u015fturur. Kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z, y\u00f6r\u00fcngesinin G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019e uzak b\u00f6lgelerindeyken bu i\u00e7erik, donmu\u015f bir halde birbirine s\u0131k\u0131 \u015fekilde ba\u011fl\u0131 durur. Kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019e yakla\u015ft\u0131k\u00e7a buz erir ve buharla\u015f\u0131r. Kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131 olu\u015fturan madde art\u0131k gev\u015fek bir \u015fekilde bir aradad\u0131r. Zamanla k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck ta\u015flar ve tozlar da gazlarla birlikte ana k\u00fctleden geride kal\u0131r ve kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n milyonlarca kilometre uzunluktaki kuyru\u011funu olu\u015fturur. Kuyruktaki bu par\u00e7alardan bir b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zla ba\u011f\u0131n\u0131 kopar\u0131p y\u00f6r\u00fcnge \u00fczerinde kal\u0131r. B\u00f6ylece t\u0131pk\u0131 gezegenler ve kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar gibi bu d\u00f6k\u00fcnt\u00fcler de G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019in \u00e7evresinde d\u00f6nmeye ba\u015flar. Ne zaman D\u00fcnya, d\u00f6k\u00fcnt\u00fclerle kapl\u0131 bu y\u00f6r\u00fcngelerden birinin i\u00e7inden ge\u00e7se, o g\u00fcn D\u00fcnya\u2019ya her zamankinden daha \u00e7ok say\u0131da meteoroit d\u00fc\u015fer! Yani daha \u00e7ok kayan y\u0131ld\u0131z g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. E\u011fer kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z birka\u00e7 ay ya da birka\u00e7 y\u0131l gibi k\u0131sa bir s\u00fcre \u00f6nce ge\u00e7mi\u015fse, arkas\u0131nda bol miktarda yeni d\u00f6k\u00fcnt\u00fc b\u0131rakm\u0131\u015f olur. D\u00fcnya b\u00f6ylesi bir y\u00f6r\u00fcngenin i\u00e7inden ge\u00e7erken meteor say\u0131s\u0131nda s\u0131ra d\u0131\u015f\u0131 bir art\u0131\u015f olur. Bu \u00f6zel gecelerde, saatte binlerce y\u0131ld\u0131z kaymas\u0131 g\u00f6zlemlenebilir. Bu olaya meteor f\u0131rt\u0131nas\u0131 denir.<\/p>\n<p>Kayan y\u0131ld\u0131zlar kadar s\u0131k olmasa da, birka\u00e7 y\u0131lda bir G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi\u2019nin i\u00e7 b\u00f6lgelerine giren kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar da geceleri g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcnde etkileyici bir g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fc olu\u015fturur, hem de uzun bir s\u00fcre. K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck \u00e7ekirdeklerinin \u00e7evresi yakla\u015f\u0131k 100.000 km \u00e7apl\u0131 parlak bir gaz ve toz bulutuyla kaplan\u0131r. Kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131z b\u00fcy\u00fckse, arkas\u0131nda (G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019in tersi y\u00f6nde) milyonlarca, hatta on milyonlarca kilometre uzunlu\u011funda parlak bir kuyruk olu\u015fur. Bu kuyruk hep G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019e ters y\u00f6nde olur; \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc g\u00fcne\u015f r\u00fczg\u00e2r\u0131 da\u011f\u0131n\u0131k haldeki bu hafif maddeleri s\u00fcrekli G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019in tersi y\u00f6ne do\u011fru \u201c\u00fcf\u00fcr\u00fcr\u201d. B\u00f6ylesi kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar geceleri g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcnde \u00e7ok daha g\u00fczel g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcr. Bunlar\u0131n 200 kadar\u0131 periyodiktir. K\u0131sa periyotlu kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n -yani periyodu 20 y\u0131ldan k\u0131sa olanlar\u0131n- bir\u00e7o\u011funun periyodu yedi y\u0131l dolay\u0131ndad\u0131r. Kuiper Ku\u015fa\u011f\u0131\u2019ndan geldikleri tahmin edilen bu kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019in \u00e7evresindeki y\u00f6r\u00fcngesi J\u00fcpiter\u2019e kadard\u0131r ve gezegenlerle ayn\u0131 y\u00f6nde olur. Zaten J\u00fcpiter\u2019in k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim etkisi nedeniyle bu b\u00f6lgede hapsolmu\u015flard\u0131r. Bu kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fck bir b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc k\u0131sa y\u00f6r\u00fcngelerinde dola\u015f\u0131rken s\u00fcrekli madde yitirir (y\u00f6r\u00fcngesinde b\u0131rak\u0131r), k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fcl\u00fcr ve yok olur. K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc de J\u00fcpiter\u2019in k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim etkisiyle G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi\u2019nin uzak b\u00f6lgelerine g\u00f6nderilir. Orta periyotlu -periyodu 20 ile 200 y\u0131l aras\u0131nda olan- ve uzun periyotlu -periyodu 200 y\u0131ldan uzun- kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n Oort Bulutu\u2019ndan geldikleri tahmin edilmektedir. Bunlar\u0131n y\u00f6r\u00fcnge d\u00fczlemleri ekliptikle b\u00fcy\u00fck a\u00e7\u0131lar yapabilir.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n geli\u015fiminde kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6nemi olmu\u015ftur. Bir\u00e7ok g\u00f6kbilimci yery\u00fcz\u00fcndeki suyun b\u00fcy\u00fck bir b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fcn D\u00fcnya\u2019ya \u00e7arpan kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar taraf\u0131ndan getirildi\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmektedir.
