Hatta Ay hakk\u0131nda bilinmek istenilen en \u00f6nemli konu, Ay\u2019\u0131n nas\u0131l olu\u015ftu\u011fu, bile \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fclemedi.<\/p>\n<p>O d\u00f6nemde Ay\u2019\u0131n olu\u015fumuna ili\u015fkin iki temel teori vard\u0131. Birinci teoriye g\u00f6re Ay da t\u0131pk\u0131 D\u00fcnya gibi G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi\u2019nin olu\u015fumu s\u0131ras\u0131nda gaz ve toz bulutundan, bug\u00fcn bulundu\u011fu yerinde olu\u015fmu\u015ftu. \u0130kinci teoriye g\u00f6re de Ay ba\u015f\u0131bo\u015f gezen bir g\u00f6kcismiyken D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim alan\u0131na girmi\u015f ve bug\u00fcnk\u00fc y\u00f6r\u00fcngesine oturmu\u015ftu. Bir ba\u015fka deyi\u015fle D\u00fcnya, Ay\u2019\u0131 kap\u0131p uydusu yapm\u0131\u015ft\u0131!<\/p>\n<p>Ay\u2019dan getirilen kayalar Ay\u2019\u0131n olu\u015fumuna y\u00f6nelik bu teorilerin s\u0131nanmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayacakt\u0131; hangisinin do\u011fru oldu\u011fu ortaya \u00e7\u0131kacakt\u0131. Ne var ki gelen kayalar iki teoriyi de ne tam destekledi ne de tam olarak \u00e7\u00fcr\u00fctt\u00fc. Bu kayalar D\u00fcnya\u2019dakilerden biraz farkl\u0131yd\u0131lar. \u00d6yleyse D\u00fcnya\u2019dakilerle ayn\u0131 s\u00fcre\u00e7lerden ge\u00e7erek olu\u015fmu\u015f olamazlard\u0131. Ayr\u0131ca Ay da D\u00fcnya ile ayn\u0131 \u015fekilde, onunla benzer bir s\u00fcre\u00e7ten ge\u00e7erek olu\u015fmu\u015f olsayd\u0131 t\u0131pk\u0131 onunki gibi b\u00fcy\u00fck\u00e7e bir demirden \u00e7ekirde\u011fi olmas\u0131 gerekirdi; ama yoktu.\u00a0 \u00d6te yandan Ay kayalar\u0131 meteoritlerden farkl\u0131yd\u0131lar ve D\u00fcnya\u2019daki kayalarla da bir\u00e7ok ortak y\u00f6nleri vard\u0131. O zaman Ay ile D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n ortak bir ge\u00e7mi\u015fi de olmas\u0131 gerekiyordu. Zaten D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n, yak\u0131ndan ge\u00e7mekte olan Ay kadar b\u00fcy\u00fck bir g\u00f6kcismini yolundan \u00e7evirip de kendi \u00e7evresinde d\u00f6nmeye zorlayacak bir k\u00fctlesi yoktu.<\/p>\n<p>Ayr\u0131ca Apollo astronotlar\u0131n\u0131n getirdi\u011fi kayalar ve toprak, Ay\u2019\u0131n olu\u015fumundan k\u0131sa bir s\u00fcre sonra t\u00fcm\u00fcyle eriyik halde olmas\u0131 ve lavla kapl\u0131 olmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini ortaya koyuyordu. Ne var ki Ay kadar k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir g\u00f6kcisminin y\u00fczeyi do\u011fal olarak hi\u00e7bir zaman b\u00f6ylesine \u0131s\u0131nm\u0131\u015f olamazd\u0131. Ay\u2019dan gelen kayalar sayesinde Ay\u2019\u0131n k\u00f6keninin gizemi \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fclememi\u015f hatta tersine gizem biraz daha derinle\u015fmi\u015fti. Ay\u2019\u0131n D\u00fcnya kadar ya\u015fl\u0131 oldu\u011fu, Ay\u2019da hi\u00e7 su bulunmad\u0131\u011f\u0131, oradaki kayalar\u0131n D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n mantosundaki kayalara benzedi\u011fi, \u00e7ok az demir i\u00e7erdikleri ve bir zamanlar Ay\u2019\u0131n y\u00fczeyinin t\u00fcm\u00fcyle eriyik oldu\u011fu anla\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015f oldu. Gezegen sistemlerinin olu\u015fum s\u00fcre\u00e7lerinde \u00f6ngezegenlerin ve dev asteroitlerin birbirleriyle \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131n ola\u011fan bir olay oldu\u011fu hatta s\u00fcrecin \u00f6nemli bir par\u00e7as\u0131 oldu\u011fu anla\u015f\u0131ld\u0131. Bu bilgi G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi\u2019ne y\u00f6nelik bir\u00e7ok teorinin g\u00f6zden ge\u00e7irilmesine yol a\u00e7t\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>O d\u00f6nemde William Hartmann adl\u0131 bir gezegenbilimci NASA\u2019da Ay kraterlerinin haritalar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7\u0131kart\u0131lmas\u0131 i\u015fiyle u\u011fra\u015f\u0131yordu. Bir yandan da akl\u0131na tak\u0131lan birtak\u0131m sorulara yan\u0131t ar\u0131yordu. Ay\u2019daki \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck kraterlere \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck asteroitler yol a\u00e7m\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Peki, bu \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n en b\u00fcy\u00fckleri nas\u0131l olmu\u015f olabilirdi? Acaba gezegen b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcnde g\u00f6kcisimleri hi\u00e7 \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fm\u0131\u015f m\u0131yd\u0131? \u00c7arp\u0131\u015fm\u0131\u015fsa, \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fman\u0131n ne t\u00fcr sonu\u00e7lar\u0131 olmu\u015ftu? Hartmann, bu sorulara yan\u0131t ararken Ay\u2019\u0131n olu\u015fumuyla ilgili \u2018\u2018Korkun\u00e7 \u00c7arp\u0131\u015fma Teorisi\u2019\u2019 ad\u0131n\u0131 verdi\u011fi bir teori geli\u015ftirdi. Teorisini de 1974\u2019te duyurdu.<\/p>\n<p>Hartmann\u2019\u0131n teorisine g\u00f6re yakla\u015f\u0131k Mars b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcnde Orpheus ad\u0131 verilen bir gezegen, D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n olu\u015fumundan yakla\u015f\u0131k 50 milyon y\u0131l sonra D\u00fcnya\u2019ya \u00e7arpm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. \u00c7arp\u0131\u015fman\u0131n \u015fiddetiyle D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n mantosunun b\u00fcy\u00fck b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc uzaya savrulmu\u015ftu. \u00c7arpan gezegenin a\u011f\u0131r elementleri D\u00fcnya\u2019da kalm\u0131\u015f, onun \u00e7ekirde\u011fiyle birle\u015fmi\u015f, hafif olanlarsa uzaya sa\u00e7\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Uzaya sa\u00e7\u0131lan maddeler k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim etkisiyle k\u0131sa s\u00fcrede toplanarak bir araya gelmi\u015fti. \u00c7arp\u0131\u015fmadan \u00e7ok de\u011fil birka\u00e7 y\u00fczy\u0131l sonra D\u00fcnya\u2019dan yaln\u0131zca 25.000 km \u00f6tede b\u00fcy\u00fck\u00e7e bir do\u011fal uydu olu\u015fmu\u015ftu: Ay. Teori genel kabul g\u00f6rmeye ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 s\u0131ralarda G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi\u2019ni ara\u015ft\u0131rmak i\u00e7in g\u00f6nderilen uzay sondalar\u0131ndan gelen veriler bu t\u00fcr \u015fiddetli \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n yaln\u0131zca Ay ile s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ortaya \u00e7\u0131kartm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Uran\u00fcs\u2019\u00fcn uydusu Miranda\u2019n\u0131n \u2018\u2018yamal\u0131\u2019\u2019 yap\u0131s\u0131 onun da bir zamanlar par\u00e7alanm\u0131\u015f ve sonra yeniden birle\u015fmi\u015f bir g\u00f6kcismi oldu\u011funu g\u00f6sterir. Sat\u00fcrn\u2019\u00fcn \u2013ve \u00f6teki dev gezegenlerin de\u2013 halkalar\u0131n\u0131 olu\u015fturan maddelerin de asl\u0131nda bir zamanlar baz\u0131 uydular\u0131n par\u00e7alanmas\u0131yla ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan d\u00f6k\u00fcnt\u00fclerden olu\u015ftu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyor. Yaln\u0131zca uydularda de\u011fil G\u00fcne\u015f\u00a0 Sistemi\u2019nde baz\u0131 gezegenlerde de ge\u00e7mi\u015fte ya\u015fanm\u0131\u015f \u00e7ok \u015fiddetli bir \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fman\u0131n izlerini g\u00f6rmek m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr. \u00d6rne\u011fin Ven\u00fcs\u2019\u00fcn, kendi eksenindeki d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f y\u00f6n\u00fc b\u00fct\u00fcn gezegenlerin d\u00f6nd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc y\u00f6n\u00fcn tam tersidir. Benzer bir \u015fekilde Uran\u00fcs\u2019\u00fcn kendi eksenindeki d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fc de 90\u00b0 yat\u0131kt\u0131r. Bu gezegenlerdeki b\u00f6ylesi s\u0131ra d\u0131\u015f\u0131 \u00f6zelliklere bir zamanlar ba\u015flar\u0131ndan ge\u00e7en korkun\u00e7 \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n yol a\u00e7t\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Ay, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde D\u00fcnya\u2019dan ortalama 384.000 km uzaktad\u0131r. D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n \u00e7evresindeki 2,4 milyon kilometrelik y\u00f6r\u00fcngesini saniyede ortalama 1 km\u2019lik bir h\u0131zla, 27,3 g\u00fcnde tamamlar. Y\u00f6r\u00fcnge d\u00fczlemi, D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n G\u00fcne\u015f \u00e7evresindeki y\u00f6r\u00fcnge d\u00fczlemine g\u00f6re 5,145\u00b0 e\u011fiktir. Eksen e\u011fimi de 1,5\u00b0 kadard\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Ay\u2019\u0131n D\u00fcnya \u00e7evresindeki y\u00f6r\u00fcngesi \u00e7embere yak\u0131n bir elipstir. O nedenle zaman zaman D\u00fcnya\u2019ya yak\u0131nla\u015f\u0131r zaman zaman da uzakla\u015f\u0131r. D\u00fcnya \u00e7evresindeki bir turunu ve kendi eksenindeki bir d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fc ayn\u0131 s\u00fcrede tamamlar: 27,3 g\u00fcn. Y\u00f6r\u00fcngesinin d\u00fczleminin ekliptikle 5\u00b0 kadar farkl\u0131 olu\u015fu ve D\u00fcnya\u2019ya zaman zaman yak\u0131nla\u015f\u0131p uzakla\u015fmas\u0131 nedeniyle asl\u0131nda Ay\u2019\u0131n de\u011fi\u015fik zamanlarda g\u00f6r\u00fclen b\u00f6lgeleri Ay y\u00fczeyinin %59\u2019u kadard\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>\u0130lk olu\u015ftu\u011fu d\u00f6nemde Ay\u2019\u0131n kendi ekseninde d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fc bug\u00fcnk\u00fcnden \u00e7ok daha h\u0131zl\u0131yd\u0131 ve D\u00fcnya\u2019dan bak\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda her yan\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcyordu \u2013ger\u00e7i o d\u00f6nemde yery\u00fcz\u00fcnde de\u011fil insan, hi\u00e7bir canl\u0131 yoktu. D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuvvetinin Ay\u2019da yol a\u00e7t\u0131\u011f\u0131 gelgit etkisi Ay\u2019\u0131n d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f h\u0131z\u0131n\u0131n zamanla d\u00fc\u015ferek bug\u00fcnk\u00fc de\u011ferine inmesine yol a\u00e7t\u0131. Yani Ay\u2019\u0131n d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcn bu h\u0131zda sabitlenmesi rastlant\u0131 de\u011fildir. D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuvvetinin Ay\u2019da olu\u015fturdu\u011fu gelgit etkisinin \u2018\u2018bu konumdayken en az olmas\u0131\u2019\u2019ndan kaynaklan\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Ay\u2019\u0131n D\u00fcnya\u2019ya hep ayn\u0131 y\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fcn d\u00f6n\u00fck olmas\u0131 yaln\u0131zca D\u00fcnya-Ay ikilisinde g\u00f6r\u00fclmez. Asl\u0131nda bu durum G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi\u2019ndeki b\u00fct\u00fcn gezegenlerde ve onlar\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fck uydular\u0131nda b\u00f6yledir. Bir ba\u015fka deyi\u015fle J\u00fcpiter\u2019in (8), Sat\u00fcrn\u2019\u00fcn (15), Uran\u00fcs\u2019\u00fcn (5) ve Nept\u00fcn\u2019\u00fcn (2) hatta 2006\u2019da gezegen liginden d\u00fc\u015fen Pl\u00fcton\u2019un en b\u00fcy\u00fck uydusunun hep ayn\u0131 y\u00fczleri gezegenlerine d\u00f6n\u00fckt\u00fcr. Kendi eksenlerinde d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f s\u00fcreleri bilinmeyen daha 27 uydunun da senkron d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015fleri oldu\u011fu tahmin edilmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuvveti nedeniyle Ay\u2019da ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan gelgit etkisi gibi Ay\u2019\u0131n k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim kuvveti de D\u00fcnya\u2019da bir gelgit etkisine yol a\u00e7ar. Yery\u00fcz\u00fcndeki gelgitlerin temel sorumlusu Ay\u2019d\u0131r. Ger\u00e7i G\u00fcne\u015f\u2019in k\u00fctle\u00e7ekiminin de bunda biraz etkisi vard\u0131r; ama as\u0131l etkili olan, Ay\u2019\u0131n k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimidir.<\/p>\n<p>Ay\u2019\u0131n D\u00fcnya\u2019da olu\u015fturdu\u011fu gelgit etkisi de D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n kendi eksenindeki d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fc yava\u015flat\u0131r \u2013her y\u00fcz bin y\u0131lda bir saniye kadar. Bundan 4,5 milyar y\u0131l \u00f6nce, ilk olu\u015ftu\u011fu d\u00f6nemde, D\u00fcnya\u2019n\u0131n bir g\u00fcn\u00fc yakla\u015f\u0131k 8 saatti. O zamanlar Ay da D\u00fcnya\u2019ya yaln\u0131zca 25.000 km kadar uzakt\u0131. Bu uzakl\u0131ktaki Ay\u2019\u0131n, D\u00fcnya \u00fczerindeki etkisi \u00e7ok daha g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fcyd\u00fc. Ama Ay zamanla D\u00fcnya\u2019dan uzakla\u015ft\u0131; k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim etkisi de giderek azald\u0131. Yine de Ay\u2019\u0131n yol a\u00e7t\u0131\u011f\u0131 yava\u015flaman\u0131n sonucunda D\u00fcnya, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde kendi ekseninde bir d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fc 23 saat 56 dakikada tamamlar oldu. Asl\u0131nda bu d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f h\u0131z\u0131 h\u00e2l\u00e2 yava\u015flamaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Ay y\u00fczeyinde g\u00fcnd\u00fcz ile gece aras\u0131nda 250\u00b0C\u2019a varan s\u0131cakl\u0131k farklar\u0131 olur. Ama bu durum g\u00fcney ve kuzey kutup b\u00f6lgelerindeki baz\u0131 derin kraterlerin taban\u0131 i\u00e7in ge\u00e7erli de\u011fildir. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc buralar y\u0131l boyunca karanl\u0131k kal\u0131r ve s\u0131cakl\u0131k da -250\u00b0C\u2019a kadar d\u00fc\u015fer. \u00c7arpan kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n getirdi\u011fi suyun bu b\u00f6lgelerde buz halinde bulunma olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 vard\u0131r. Bilim insanlar\u0131 bu olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n uzun zamand\u0131r fark\u0131nda.
