Tabii her \u00fcnl\u00fc \u201cmucit-icat\u201d \u00e7ifti kadar \u201cgalat-\u0131 me\u015fhur\u201d bar\u0131nd\u0131r\u0131yor i\u00e7erisinde.<\/p>\n<p>Derginin bu say\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n \u201cruhlar\u201da ayr\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131 f\u0131rsat\u0131ndan, bu \u201cgalat-\u0131 me\u015fhur\u201dun d\u00fczeltilmesine k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck de olsa bir katk\u0131da bulunmak \u00fczere yararlanmak istiyorum.<\/p>\n<p>Pek \u00e7ok standart antropoloji el kitab\u0131nda dahi yer etmi\u015f yayg\u0131n yan\u0131lg\u0131 \u015fu: \u201cAnimizm, kavram\u0131 ilk kez form\u00fcle eden antropolog Sir E. B. Tylor\u2019a g\u00f6re, bilinen ilk dinsel bi\u00e7imleni\u015ftir ve \u2018bedenden ayr\u0131 olarak varolan ruhlara inan\u00e7\u2019 anlam\u0131na gelmektedir\u2026\u201d Nitekim pek \u00e7ok sosyoloji\/felsefe kitab\u0131, dinlerin evriminden s\u00f6z etmek gerekti\u011finde, s\u0131ralamakta teredd\u00fct etmemektedir: animizm-totemizm-\u00e7oktanr\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k-tektanr\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k\u2026<\/p>\n<p>A\u00e7\u0131mlayay\u0131m:<br \/>\n\u00d6ncelikle evet, \u201cbedenden ayr\u0131 olarak varolan ruhlara inan\u00e7\u201d anlam\u0131na gelse de, \u201cilk din olarak animizm\u201d kuram\u0131n\u0131 form\u00fcle eden Tylor de\u011fildir. Hatta az ileride g\u00f6rece\u011fimiz \u00fczere, Tylor\u2019un b\u00f6yle bir iddias\u0131 da yoktur\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Wikipedia\u2019ya bak\u0131l\u0131rsa \u201canimismus\u201d terimini ilk kullanan ki\u015fi, \u201chayvan ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131n maddi-olmayan ruh taraf\u0131ndan yarat\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131\u201d \u00f6ne s\u00fcren Alman bilimci Georg Ernst Stahl\u2019d\u0131r (1720 dolaylar\u0131). (1)<\/p>\n<p>\u0130nsan akl\u0131n\u0131n evrimi \u00fczerine d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcrken, ilkin feti\u015fizm, \u00e7oktanr\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k ve tektanr\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k a\u015famalar\u0131ndan olu\u015fan bir teolojik, ard\u0131ndan insanlar\u0131n soyut kavramlarla d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmeye ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir metafizik ve nihayet, pozitif bilimlerin ve akl\u0131n egemen olaca\u011f\u0131 bir pozitivist evre kurgulayan August Comte (1798-1857) da feti\u015fist evrede insanlar\u0131n \u201ct\u00fcm d\u0131\u015f cisimlerin t\u0131pk\u0131 kendileri gibi ancak farkl\u0131 yo\u011funlukta canla donand\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131\u201d (Lauer 1991: 57) d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fcklerini \u00f6ne s\u00fcrerken, Stahl\u2019den etkilenmi\u015f olmal\u0131. Bir ba\u015fka deyi\u015fle, \u201cvarl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 bedenin d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda da s\u00fcrd\u00fcrebilme yetisine sahip, maddi g\u00f6r\u00fcng\u00fclere can veren madde-d\u0131\u015f\u0131 bir varl\u0131k\u201d olarak ruh fikrinin dinsel d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncenin ilk bi\u00e7imi oldu\u011fu yolundaki kavray\u0131\u015f, Tylor taraf\u0131ndan form\u00fcle edilmi\u015f de\u011fildir. Dahas\u0131 Tylor\u2019un \u00e7a\u011fda\u015f\u0131, 19. y\u00fczy\u0131l evrimcili\u011finin bayraktarlar\u0131ndan ve kavram\u0131n biyoloji alan\u0131ndan toplumsal alana aktar\u0131lmas\u0131nda en \u00f6nemli rol\u00fc oynayanlardan biri olan Britanyal\u0131 Herbert Spencer da 1877\u2019de yay\u0131mlanan The Principles of Sociology\u2019sinde, \u201cilk(el) din animizm\u201d fikrini va\u2019zetmektedir. Spencer\u2019e g\u00f6re \u201cilkel\u201d halklar, \u00e7e\u015fitli d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce ve edim gere\u00e7lerinden yoksun olmakla birlikte, rasyoneldirler. Soru sorar, nedenleri ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131rlar. Onun en az\u0131ndan antropoloji literat\u00fcr\u00fcnde bug\u00fcn dahi kimi k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck revizyonlarla kabul g\u00f6ren din tan\u0131m\u0131, \u201cruhsal\/tinsel varl\u0131klara inan\u00e7\u201dt\u0131r. Animus yani ruh\/tin (2), bir zamanlar belki de hi\u00e7bir dinsel duygu ya da fikre sahip olmayan \u201cvah\u015fi\u201dnin (antropolojinin ilk ony\u0131llar\u0131nda avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131 halklar i\u00e7in kullanageldi\u011fi talihsiz bir terim) zamanla canl\u0131 madde\/beden ile cans\u0131z aras\u0131ndaki fark\u0131n ay\u0131rd\u0131na varmakla ba\u015fvuraca\u011f\u0131 bir referans olacakt\u0131r:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u00d6yle g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcyor ki hen\u00fcz k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn alt basamaklar\u0131nda olan d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnen insanlar, iki grup biyolojik sorundan derinlemesine etkilenmi\u015flerdi. \u0130lk elde, ya\u015fayan bir bedenle \u00f6l\u00fc olan aras\u0131ndaki fark neden kaynaklan\u0131yordu; uyanmay\u0131, uyumay\u0131, trans\u0131, hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131, \u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftiren neydi? \u0130kinci olarak, d\u00fc\u015f ve g\u00f6r\u00fclerde g\u00f6r\u00fclen insan \u015fekilleri neydi? Bu iki g\u00f6r\u00fcng\u00fc grubuna bakan kadim vah\u015fi filozoflar, olas\u0131l\u0131kla her insan\u0131n kendisine ait iki \u015feyi, bir ya\u015fam\u0131 ve bir hayaleti (phantom) oldu\u011fu a\u015fik\u00e2r \u00e7\u0131karsamas\u0131yla ilk ad\u0131m\u0131 att\u0131. Bu ikisi bedenle a\u00e7\u0131k\u00e7a yak\u0131ndan ba\u011flant\u0131l\u0131yd\u0131, ya\u015fam onun duymas\u0131, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmesi ve davranmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011fl\u0131yordu, hayalet ise onun imgesi ya da ikinci benlik idi, ya\u015fam \u00e7ekip giderek onu duyumdan yoksun ya da \u00f6l\u00fc bir hale getirebiliyor, hayalet ise kendisine belirli bir mesafe uzakl\u0131ktaki insanlara g\u00f6r\u00fcnebiliyordu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUygar insan\u0131n bozmay\u0131 ne denli zor buldu\u011funa bakacak olursak, Vah\u015finin, ikinci ad\u0131m\u0131 atmas\u0131 da kolay olmu\u015ftur: ya\u015fam ve hayaleti birle\u015ftirmek. Her ikisi de bedene ait oldu\u011funa g\u00f6re, neden birbirlerine de ait olmas\u0131nlar ve bir ve ayn\u0131 ruhun tezah\u00fcrleri olmas\u0131nlar? O zaman b\u0131rakal\u0131m birle\u015fmi\u015f say\u0131ls\u0131nlar; sonu\u00e7, hayalet-ruh olarak tan\u0131mlanabilecek bildik kavray\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bir kez bedenden ayr\u0131 ve \u201czaptetti\u011fi\u201d cisimleri can ve iradeyle bezeyen bir \u201cruh\/tin\u201di d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnebildikten sonra, gerisi kolayl\u0131kla gelecektir: \u201cruh\u201da sahip olan yaln\u0131zca insan(lar) de\u011fildir, hayvanlar, a\u011fa\u00e7lar, bitkiler hatta cans\u0131z nesneler dahi ruhla donanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>\u015eu halde Tylor\u2019a g\u00f6re animizm (ruh\u00e7uluk) genel olarak san\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00fczere ilk(el) din de\u011fil, dini m\u00fcmk\u00fcn k\u0131lan bir bilgidir. Animizm idealist d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncenin temel d\u00fcsturunu olu\u015fturur; yaln\u0131zca \u201cvah\u015fi\u201d de\u011fil, uygar bir H\u0131ristiyan, modern bir ilahiyat profes\u00f6r\u00fc de \u00f6z\u00fcnde animisttir:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(\u2026) insan ruhu kavray\u0131\u015f\u0131, en asl\u00ee do\u011fas\u0131 itibariyle vah\u015fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcr\u00fcn felsefesinden modern ilahiyat profes\u00f6r\u00fcne, s\u00fcregendir. Tan\u0131m\u0131 ba\u015f\u0131ndan beri, canland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131, ayr\u0131labilir, hayatta kalan bir kendilik, bireysel ki\u015fisel varolu\u015fun arac\u0131 olarak kalm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ruh kuram\u0131, dinsel felsefenin, kesintisiz bir akli ba\u011flant\u0131 hatt\u0131 i\u00e7erisinde, vah\u015fi feti\u015f tap\u0131mc\u0131s\u0131 ile uygar H\u0131ristiyan\u0131 birle\u015ftiren dinsel felsefe sisteminin asl\u00ee bir unsurudur.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tylor\u2019a g\u00f6re bu fikirlerin g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze dek devam etmesini olanakl\u0131 k\u0131lan durumlardan biri, insan\u0131n psikolojik geli\u015fim s\u00fcrecidir. \u00c7ocuklu\u011fumuzda ilkel halklarla ayn\u0131 deneyimleri ya\u015fay\u0131p ayn\u0131 sonu\u00e7lara ula\u015f\u0131r\u0131z: d\u00fc\u015f g\u00f6r\u00fcr, \u015feylere ya\u015fam atfeder ve onlarla canl\u0131ym\u0131\u015flar gibi oynar\u0131z. B\u00fcy\u00fcd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcm\u00fczdeyse bu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnceyi i\u00e7selle\u015ftiririz: bir bak\u0131ma do\u011fal kabul ederiz. Bunun nedeni -ki bu da erken d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncelerin s\u00fcrmesinin ikinci yoludur- ileri dinlerin fikirlerinin ilkel fikirlerin geli\u015fkin bi\u00e7imleri olu\u015fudur. Ancak spek\u00fclasyondansa g\u00f6zleme dayanmak gereklidir; dolay\u0131s\u0131yla \u201cdinsel-olmayan\u201d tarihin belirli bir d\u00f6neminde \u201cdinsel olmayan insan toplumlar\u0131\u201dn\u0131n varl\u0131\u011f\u0131na h\u00fckmetmek de m\u00fcmk\u00fcn de\u011fildir&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde varl\u0131\u011f\u0131 bilinen t\u00fcm toplumlar, ruhsal\/tinsel varl\u0131klara inanmaktad\u0131r.
