Yeni bir akci\u011fer iltihab\u0131 tipine sebep olan bu etkene ili\u015fkin ilk resmi bildirim Aral\u0131k 2019 sonlar\u0131nda, \u00c7in\u2019in Wuhan kentinden gelmi\u015fti. Ard\u0131ndan vakalar y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m h\u0131z\u0131yla artmaya ba\u015flay\u0131nca ilk genom dizileme \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 da hemen pe\u015fis\u0131ra, 26 Aral\u0131k\u2019ta ba\u015flat\u0131ld\u0131 ve 5 Ocak\u2019ta sonu\u00e7 verdi. Buna g\u00f6re s\u00f6z konusu vir\u00fcs, 2002-2003\u2019te salg\u0131n boyutuna eri\u015fen SARS ile ayn\u0131 aileye mensuptu: Coronaviridae. G\u00f6r\u00fcnen o ki yeni bir koronavir\u00fcs kap\u0131dayd\u0131. Durum hemen ilgili mercilere bildirildi. \u00c7ok ge\u00e7meden, d\u00fcnyan\u0131n \u00e7e\u015fitli yerlerindeki laboratuvarlardan vir\u00fcse ait dizileme \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n sonu\u00e7lar\u0131 ya\u011fmur gibi inmeye ba\u015flad\u0131 ve say\u0131lar\u0131 200\u2019\u00fc buldu. SARS ve yeni koronavir\u00fcs aras\u0131ndaki genetik dizi benzerli\u011fi oran\u0131 yakla\u015f\u0131k y\u00fczde 79; vir\u00fcs\u00fcn kona\u011fa (yani burada, insana) girerken kulland\u0131\u011f\u0131 me\u015fhur y\u00fczey proteinine (spike deniyor) ait DNA dizisi ise iki vir\u00fcs grubu aras\u0131nda y\u00fczde 72\u2019lik benzerlik g\u00f6steriyor. Oysa bu benzerlik oranlar\u0131, daha \u00f6nce m\u00fcnferit \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda analiz edilip veritabanlar\u0131na y\u00fcklenmi\u015f olan<em> Rhinolophus affinis<\/em> t\u00fcr\u00fc yarasalardaki koronavir\u00fcslerle y\u00fczde 96\u2019lara \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yor. Yarasa bilgisi i\u015fte buradan t\u00fcr\u00fcyor. Ancak yeni koronavir\u00fcs\u00fcn baz\u0131 \u00e7ok \u00f6nemli b\u00f6lgelerinde farkl\u0131la\u015fmalar mevcut, mesela yukar\u0131da bahsi ge\u00e7en y\u00fczey proteininin altbirimlerini kodlayan gen b\u00f6lgesinde. Burada, di\u011fer betakoronavir\u00fcslerde olmayan (fakat insan koronavir\u00fcslerinde bulunan) ve bula\u015f\u0131c\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 (asl\u0131nda vir\u00fcs\u00fcn kona\u011fa tutunma becerisini) art\u0131ran bir dizi ilavesi bulunuyor. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla yarasadaki versiyon ile yeni koronavir\u00fcs\u00fcn konak h\u00fccre resept\u00f6r\u00fcne (al\u0131c\u0131s\u0131na diyelim) ba\u011flanma b\u00f6lgesi y\u00fczde 85 benzerlik g\u00f6steriyor. Bahsi ge\u00e7en yarasa \u00f6rneklerinin topland\u0131\u011f\u0131 yer, Wuhan\u2019dan, yani hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131n \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f noktas\u0131 olarak tan\u0131mlanan b\u00f6lgeden 1500 km uzaktaki Yunnan eyaletinde yer al\u0131yor. Bal\u0131k pazar\u0131n\u0131n bulundu\u011fu Hubei\u2019deki yarasalar ise zaten say\u0131ca az ve genom dizisi bak\u0131m\u0131ndan yeni koronavir\u00fcse yak\u0131n de\u011fil. Yarasalarla insanlar\u0131n farkl\u0131 ekolojik ya\u015fam alanlar\u0131n\u0131 i\u015fgal ettikleri de hesaba kat\u0131l\u0131rsa, ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar yeni koronavir\u00fcs\u00fcn hayvandan insana ge\u00e7i\u015fine arac\u0131l\u0131k eden ba\u015fka bir memeli t\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn s\u00f6z konusu olabilece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyor. SARS\u2019ta bu arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 misk kedileri yapm\u0131\u015ft\u0131, MERS\u2019te develer. Durumun a\u00e7\u0131kl\u0131\u011fa kavu\u015fmas\u0131 i\u00e7in daha fazla memeli t\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn incelenmesi gerekiyor, \u00f6zellikle de Wuhan\u2019dakine benzer hayvan pazarlar\u0131nda sat\u0131lanlar\u0131n. Nitekim bu noktada yeni bir aday ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131 bile: Malaya pangolinleri (Manis javanica). K\u0131sa s\u00fcre \u00f6nce g\u00fczey \u00c7in\u2019e yasad\u0131\u015f\u0131 yollarla getirilen bu hayvanlarda da yeni koronavir\u00fcse \u00e7ok benzer vir\u00fcslere rastland\u0131. \u00dcstelik bu benzerlik genomun di\u011fer k\u0131s\u0131mlar\u0131ndan \u00e7ok yeni koronavir\u00fcs\u00fcn \u00f6zg\u00fcn \u00e7ok y\u00fczey proteininde yo\u011funla\u015fm\u0131\u015f vaziyette.
