Bunlar \u2018a\u00e7\u0131k\u2019 ve \u2018kapal\u0131\u2019 durumlar\u0131 aras\u0131nda gidip gelen, efekt\u00f6rlerce i\u015fleyi\u015fi d\u00fczenlenen molek\u00fcler \u015falterler olarak tan\u0131mlan\u0131r. Heidelberg \u00dcniversitesi\u2019ndeki biyokimyac\u0131lar art\u0131k bu \u015falterlerin mekanik i\u015fleyi\u015fi hakk\u0131nda ana bilgiler edinmi\u015f haldeler. Flagella \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan (bakterilerin hareketini sa\u011flayan organel) ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar \u00f6zel bir G proteinini \u2018kapal\u0131\u2019 pozisyona ge\u00e7irecek bir efekt\u00f6r\u00fc tan\u0131mlamay\u0131 ba\u015fard\u0131lar. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar bu s\u00fcrecin g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fclenmesini X- \u0131\u015f\u0131n kristallografisi ile ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirdiler. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131n\u0131n sonucu ayr\u0131ca RNA d\u00fcnyas\u0131ndan, proteinlerin \u201cmodern\u201d d\u00fcnyas\u0131na evrim ile ilgili de bilgi sa\u011flayacak.<\/p>\n<p>Bakteriler \u00e7evresel de\u011fi\u015fimlere cevap verebilmek ve patojenler s\u00f6z konusu oldu\u011funda enfeksiyon b\u00f6lgesine ula\u015fabilmek i\u00e7in hareketli olmal\u0131d\u0131r. Flagella, bakterilerde hareketi sa\u011flayan organellerdir ve biyosferdeki en ufak motordur. H\u00fccreler b\u00f6l\u00fcn\u00fcrken, yeni flagellumun (flagella\u2019n\u0131n tekil hali) -veya kam\u00e7\u0131n\u0131n- tam pozisyonu her defas\u0131nda belirlenmelidir ve FIhF isimli G proteini bu g\u00f6revi \u00fcstlenir. FIhF g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fc\u015fe g\u00f6re hi\u00e7bir efekt\u00f6re ihtiya\u00e7 duymayan bir molek\u00fcler \u015falterdir. Heidelberg \u00dcniversitesi Biyokimya Merkezi\u2019nden Prof. Dr. Irmgard Sinning, \u201cAncak biz; \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmam\u0131zda efekt\u00f6r rol\u00fcn\u00fc \u00fcstlenen, bu \u015falterin davran\u0131\u015f durumunu a\u00e7\u0131klayan ve bunu yaparken \u00f6nceki hali temelden de\u011fi\u015ftiren bir protein tan\u0131mlad\u0131k\u201d diyor.<\/p>\n<p>FlhF isimli G proteini, sinyal sekans\u0131na ba\u011flanan SRP54 isimli protein ve onun FtsY isimli resept\u00f6r\u00fcyle beraber olu\u015fturdu\u011fu eski SRP-GTPaz ailesi; yaln\u0131zca bu \u00fc\u00e7 proteinden olu\u015fur ve proteinlerin biyolojik membranlara\/ membranlardan ta\u015f\u0131n\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flar. Bilinen t\u00fcm organizmalarda SRP54 ve FtsY, sinyal tan\u0131ma par\u00e7ac\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 (SRP) kullanarak proteinlerin ta\u015f\u0131n\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fczenler. Her ne kadar SRP sistemi iyi anla\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olsa da, yak\u0131n zamanda SRP54 proteininin ve resept\u00f6r\u00fc olan FtsY\u2019nin, FlhF ve onun yeni ke\u015ffedilmi\u015f efekt\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fc an\u0131msatacak \u015fekilde SRP RNA ile etkile\u015fime girdi\u011fi g\u00f6sterildi.<\/p>\n<p>Heidelberg \u00dcniversitesi Biyokimya Merkezi\u2019nden Dr. Gert Bange diyor ki: \u201cBizim FlhF G proteini ile ilgili \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmam\u0131z sadece FlhF efekt\u00f6r kompleksine dair bir a\u00e7\u0131klama sunmakla kalm\u0131yor, ayn\u0131 zamanda bu bilgiyi \u2018RNA veya proteinler \u00fczerinden SRP-GTPaz aktivasyonu\u2019 genel konseptiyle de bir araya getiriyor.
