A\u015f\u0131lar\u0131n etki mekanizmalar\u0131n\u0131n tayininde bu y\u00f6ntemden yararlan\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ancak cryo-EM\u2019in ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131na ra\u011fmen, g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme i\u00e7in radyasyon kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan vir\u00fcslerin i\u00e7yap\u0131s\u0131 bu y\u00f6ntem ile g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fclenememi\u015ftir. Makalenin ilk yazar\u0131 olan NIAMS Yap\u0131sal Biyoloji Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131 Laboratuar\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar\u0131ndan Dr. Alasdair Steven\u2019a g\u00f6re az oranda radyasyon kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda vir\u00fcslerin i\u00e7i g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fclenememekte; ancak y\u00fcksek dozlarda radyasyon da vir\u00fcse ve g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fclenmek istenen yap\u0131lara zarar vermektedir.<\/p>\n<p>University of Maryland Medical School\u2019dan Dr. Lindsay Black ve grubuyla beraber y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fclen \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar sonucu, Steven ve tak\u0131m\u0131 radyasyondan olu\u015fan zarar\u0131 avantaj olarak kullanmay\u0131 ba\u015fard\u0131lar. Vir\u00fcsler en basit ya\u015fam formlar\u0131ndan biridir ve i\u00e7erdikleri n\u00fckleik asit (DNA veya RNA) ve bu materyal ile kodlanan proteinlerden olu\u015fmaktad\u0131rlar.
