Bu ekip s\u00fcpernova diye adland\u0131r\u0131lan patlayan y\u0131ld\u0131zlar \u00fczerinde yapt\u0131klar\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda evrenin giderek artan bir ivmeyle geni\u015fledi\u011fini ke\u015ffettiler. Bu ke\u015ffin sonu\u00e7lar\u0131 \u00f6d\u00fcl sahiplerinin kendilerine bile s\u00fcrpriz oldu.<\/p>\n<p>1998\u2019de iki ara\u015ft\u0131rma grubunun sundu\u011fu yeni sonu\u00e7lar kozmolojiyi temelinden sarst\u0131. Bu s\u00fcpernova \u00e7ok eski kompakt bir y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n patlamas\u0131yla olu\u015ftu ki bu y\u0131ld\u0131z d\u00fcnya kadar k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck fakat g\u00fcne\u015f kadar a\u011f\u0131r bir y\u0131ld\u0131zd\u0131. B\u00f6yle bir s\u00fcpernova patlamas\u0131 b\u00fct\u00fcn bir galaksi kadar \u0131\u015f\u0131n yayabilir. Sonu\u00e7ta bu iki ara\u015ft\u0131rma grubu \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131 beklenenden daha zay\u0131f olan 50\u2019ye yak\u0131n uzak s\u00fcpernova ke\u015ffetti ki bu da evrenin geni\u015flemesinin h\u0131zland\u0131\u011f\u0131na i\u015faret ediyor. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar sonucunda bilim insanlar\u0131 her iki grubun da ayn\u0131 sonuca ula\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 ger\u00e7e\u011finde birle\u015ftiler.<\/p>\n<p>Neredeyse bir y\u00fczy\u0131l boyunca, evrenin yakla\u015f\u0131k 14 milyar y\u0131l \u00f6nce meydana gelen B\u00fcy\u00fck Patlama sonucu geni\u015fledi\u011fi bilinmekteydi. Bunun yan\u0131nda, bu geni\u015flemenin giderek h\u0131zland\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n ke\u015ffedilmesi olduk\u00e7a \u015fa\u015f\u0131rt\u0131c\u0131 oldu. E\u011fer geni\u015fleme h\u0131zlanmaya devam ederse, evrenin sonu donmak olacak.<\/p>\n<p>Bu h\u0131zlanman\u0131n karanl\u0131k enerjiden kaynakland\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmekte, fakat karanl\u0131k enerjinin ne oldu\u011fu muamma olmaya devam ediyor.
