El baltalar\u0131, ta\u015f par\u00e7alar\u0131n\u0131n kenarlar\u0131 keskinle\u015fene kadar par\u00e7alanmas\u0131yla yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Yeni \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada incelenen el baltas\u0131 da \u00f6nceden bulunanlara benzerdi ancak ta\u015ftan de\u011fil kemikten yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Kemikten yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olan el baltas\u0131, ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar\u0131n daha \u00f6nceki \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 kapsam\u0131nda inceledikleri ve <em>Homo erectus<\/em> yap\u0131m\u0131 ba\u015fka el baltalar\u0131 bulduklar\u0131 b\u00f6lgeden (Konso-Gardula) \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131ld\u0131. Bu b\u00f6lgede daha \u00f6nce bulunan el baltalar\u0131 ta\u015ftan yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Ke\u015ffi ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen (kemikten yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f) el baltas\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 katman\u0131n 1.4 milyon ya\u015f\u0131nda oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Biliminsanlar\u0131 el baltas\u0131n\u0131 inceledi ve bir suayg\u0131r\u0131n\u0131n uyluk kemi\u011finden yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 raporlad\u0131. 13 santimetre uzunlu\u011funda, oval bir \u015fekilde olan el baltas\u0131n\u0131n kenarlar\u0131ndan biri ba\u015fka bir aletle (muhtemelen sert bir kaya ile) keskinle\u015ftirilmi\u015fti. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, el baltas\u0131n\u0131n tasar\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n ta\u015ftan yap\u0131lanlara benzedi\u011fini ifade ediyor.<\/p>\n<p>Ayr\u0131ca biliminsanlar\u0131 el baltas\u0131n\u0131n kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131na dair kan\u0131tlar da buldu.
