Ancak \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131 tespit edebilmek i\u00e7in kulland\u0131klar\u0131 resept\u00f6rleri bulunmaktad\u0131r. S\u00f6z konusu resept\u00f6rler neredeyse her dalga boyundaki \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131 alg\u0131layabilirler. Resept\u00f6rlerden biri kriptokrom ad\u0131 verilen mavi \u0131\u015f\u0131k fotoresept\u00f6rleridir. Kriptokromlar bitkiye do\u011fru gelen fotonlar\u0131n tespit edilmesiyle e\u015fsiz bir fizyolojik yan\u0131t\u0131 tetikleyerek \u0131\u015f\u0131k fakt\u00f6r\u00fcne kar\u015f\u0131 i\u00e7yap\u0131da tepki \u00fcretir.<\/p>\n<p>Bitkilerde, bakterilerde ve hayvanlarda benzer yap\u0131da olan kriptokromlar muhtemelen milyarlarca y\u0131l \u00f6nce ya\u015fayan ilk bakterilerle birlikte ortaya \u00e7\u0131km\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. \u0130nsanlarda g\u00f6z i\u00e7erisinde sirkadiyen saatin korunmas\u0131nda da i\u015f g\u00f6ren kriptokromlar bulunmaktad\u0131r. Bitkilerdeki kriptokromlar ise tohum \u00e7imlenmesi, \u00e7i\u00e7eklenme zaman\u0131 ve sirkadiyen saatin korunmas\u0131 gibi kritik s\u00fcre\u00e7lerde i\u015flev g\u00f6rmektedir. T\u00fcm bunlar bu zamana kadar bilinse de, d\u00fczenleme ve \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131n neden oldu\u011fu yap\u0131sal de\u011fi\u015fiklikler belirsizli\u011fini korumaktayd\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>4 Ocak\u2019ta yay\u0131nlanan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, <em>Arabidopsis thaliana<\/em> bitkisinin mavi \u0131\u015f\u0131k resept\u00f6r\u00fc olan cryptochrome-2&#8217;nin kristal yap\u0131s\u0131 belirlendi. Molek\u00fcl\u00fcn \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131 alg\u0131layan k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131n \u0131\u015f\u0131k partik\u00fclleri ile reaksiyona girdi\u011finde yap\u0131 de\u011fi\u015ftirdi\u011fi ve tek bir birim halinden, birbirine ba\u011fl\u0131 d\u00f6rt birimden olu\u015fan bir yap\u0131ya d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc\u011f\u00fc g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc. Bu yeniden d\u00fczenlenme ise belirli genlerin aktifle\u015fip i\u015flev g\u00f6rmesine neden oluyordu. Prof. Shabek, \u0131\u015f\u0131k ile te\u015fvik edilen ve oligomerizasyon ad\u0131 verilen bu yeniden d\u00fczenleme s\u00fcrecinden bahsederek protein i\u00e7indeki baz\u0131 elementlerin mavi \u0131\u015f\u0131\u011fa maruz kald\u0131\u011f\u0131nda de\u011fi\u015fikliklere u\u011frad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, bu de\u011fi\u015fiklerle birlikte gen anlat\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 kontrol eden transkripsiyon d\u00fczenleyicilerinin i\u015fletildi\u011fini ifade ediyor.<\/p>\n<p>Cryptochrome-2&#8217;nin yap\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n anla\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131, bitkilerin \u00e7evrelerini molek\u00fcler seviyeden organizma d\u00fczeyine kadar nas\u0131l alg\u0131lad\u0131klar\u0131na odaklanan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n bir par\u00e7as\u0131 olarak \u00f6nemini korumaktad\u0131r. Shabek, \u201c\u00c7al\u0131\u015fma, bitkilerdeki alg\u0131 mekanizmalar\u0131n\u0131n anla\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131na y\u00f6nelik uzun vadeli hedeflerimizin bir par\u00e7as\u0131d\u0131r\u201d a\u00e7\u0131klamalar\u0131nda bulunuyor.
