Bir televizyon kanal\u0131ndan ar\u0131yorlar. \u0130zmir Buca\u2019da bir deprem olmu\u015f, bu konuda benden bilgi almak istediler. Benim cep telefonumda depremlerle ilgili birka\u00e7 ulusal ve uluslararas\u0131 deprem merkezinin uygulamas\u0131 var. 4.0 ve daha b\u00fcy\u00fck ve T\u00fcrkiye ve \u00e7evresinde olmu\u015f depremleri uyarmaya ayarl\u0131. Ancak sesleri k\u0131s\u0131k oldu\u011fundan haberim olmad\u0131. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla TV\u2019den aran\u0131p \u00f6\u011frenince hemen Buca merkezli depremle ilgili bilgileri farkl\u0131 deprem merkezlerinden tarad\u0131m. Bu depremle ilgili bilgi ve bulgular\u0131m\u0131 a\u015fa\u011f\u0131daki ba\u015fl\u0131klarda payla\u015f\u0131yorum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deprem nerede oldu?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Deprem, saat 03:29\u2019da olmu\u015ftur. Kandilli Rasathanesi ve Deprem Ara\u015ft\u0131rma Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc (KRDAE) yerel b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc (ML) 5.1, sismik moment b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc (Mw) 4.9 ve derinli\u011fini ise 4.5 km veriyordu. Afet ve Acil Durum Y\u00f6netimi Ba\u015fkanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 AFAD sismik moment b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc 4.9 , derinli\u011fini ise 14.5 km olarak veriyordu. KRDAE ve AFAD\u2019\u0131n deprem derinlik bulgular\u0131 aras\u0131nda 10 km bir fark vard\u0131. AFAD\u2019a g\u00f6re depremin d\u0131\u015f merkezi Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl \u00dcniversitesi Gaziemir yerle\u015fkesinin 3 km g\u00fcneyindeydi. Deprem b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fck s\u0131n\u0131f\u0131 olarak orta kuvvette bir depremdi. B\u00f6lge, yo\u011fun bir yerle\u015fme alan\u0131 olup \u00e7e\u015fitli y\u00fcksekliklerde ve t\u00fcrlerde bina stokuna sahipti. Bas\u0131na d\u00fc\u015fen haberlere g\u00f6re 2 ki\u015fi camdan atlam\u0131\u015f ve vefat etmi\u015fti. 5 ki\u015fi yaralanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. \u0130lk a\u00e7\u0131klamalara g\u00f6re en az 20 binada \u00e7atlaklar vard\u0131 ve bir caminin minaresi devrilmi\u015fti.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Depremin oldu\u011fu b\u00f6lgenin deprem \u00f6zellikleri nedir?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Bat\u0131 Anadolu deprem bak\u0131m\u0131nda T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin en etkin alanlar\u0131ndan biridir. Yerkabu\u011funun kuzeydo\u011fu-g\u00fcneybat\u0131 do\u011frultusunda geni\u015fledi\u011fi ve g\u00fcneybat\u0131ya do\u011fru ilerledi\u011fi bir tektonik ortam olu\u015fmu\u015ftur. B\u00f6lge \u00e7e\u015fitli y\u00f6nlerde do\u011frultu at\u0131ml\u0131 ve normal faylarla donanm\u0131\u015f ve zaman zaman b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc 7.0\u2019ye varan depremler olu\u015fturmu\u015ftur. Ge\u00e7mi\u015f y\u00fczy\u0131llarda \u00e7ok say\u0131da hasara ve can kay\u0131plar\u0131na neden olan depremler tarihsel belgelere ge\u00e7mi\u015ftir (\u015eekil 1). Depremlerin b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fckleri renkli dairelerle orant\u0131l\u0131 olarak g\u00f6sterilmi\u015ftir.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>4 Kas\u0131m 2022 depremi hangi fayla ili\u015fkili?<br \/>\n<\/strong>MTA\u2019n\u0131n haz\u0131rlad\u0131\u011f\u0131 aktif fay haritas\u0131 ve son y\u0131llarda yap\u0131lan ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar (Emre ve di\u011f., 2018) sonucunda T\u00fcrkiye ve yak\u0131n \u00e7evresinde \u00e7e\u015fitli uzunluklarda ve \u00f6zelliklerde olan 485 adet etkin (diri) fay vard\u0131r http:\/\/yerbilimleri.mta.gov.tr\/anasayfa.aspx . \u0130zmir ve \u00e7evresinde karada ve denizde \u00e7ok say\u0131da ve \u00e7e\u015fitli b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fcklerde deprem etkinli\u011fi olu\u015fturacak etkin faylar bulunmaktad\u0131r. 4 Kas\u0131m 2022 depreminin konumu ve odak mekanizmas\u0131 \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm\u00fc inceledi\u011finde (\u015eekil 2), depremin \u00e7evresindeki hangi fayla ili\u015fkili oldu\u011funa karar vermek zordur. Deprem odak mekanizmas\u0131 \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm\u00fcne g\u00f6re deprem normal fay bile\u015fenine sahip olan hareket KG do\u011frultusunda sol y\u00f6nl\u00fc veya DB do\u011frultusunda sa\u011f y\u00f6nl\u00fc olan bir fay ile ili\u015fkili olabilir. Tuzla Fay\u0131 ve Da\u011fk\u0131z\u0131lca Fay\u0131 sa\u011f y\u00f6nl\u00fc do\u011frultu at\u0131ml\u0131 olarak tan\u0131mlanan faylard\u0131r (\u015eekil 2; Emre ve di\u011f., 2018). \u0130zmir Fay\u0131 ve Nifda\u011f\u0131 Fay\u0131 ise normal faylar olarak tan\u0131mlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu depremin odak mekanizmas\u0131 \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm\u00fc bask\u0131n bir do\u011frultu at\u0131m bile\u015feni sergilemektedir. Siyah balon depremin oda\u011f\u0131ndaki fay hareketini karakterini g\u00f6sterir.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Deprem \u00e7ok mu \u015fiddetliydi?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Yay\u0131n organlar\u0131ndan gelen bilgilere bak\u0131nca depremin \u00e7ok geni\u015f alanda hissedildi\u011fi ve k\u0131sa s\u00fcrd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc anla\u015f\u0131l\u0131yordu. Deprem orta kuvvetteydi ancak yo\u011fun yerle\u015fim b\u00f6lgesinin i\u00e7erisinde olunca \u00e7ok say\u0131da ki\u015fi taraf\u0131ndan hissedilmi\u015f ve 30 Ekim 2020\u2019de Sisam Adas\u0131 civar\u0131nda olan 7.0 b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcndeki depremin travmas\u0131 nedeniyle \u0130zmir\u2019de bir panik havas\u0131 olu\u015fmu\u015ftu.<br \/>\nDepremden hemen sonra Avrupa-Akdeniz Sismoloji Merkezi\u2019nin (EMSC) \u0130zmir ve \u00e7evresinde ya\u015fayan ve depremi alg\u0131layan 1.639 deprem tan\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan ak\u0131ll\u0131 telefonlar \u00fczerinden ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 bilgilere g\u00f6re depremin merkezine yak\u0131n alanlarda deprem \u015fiddeti (maksimum \u015fiddet) ortalama be\u015f (V) ve alt\u0131 (VI) aras\u0131ndayd\u0131 (\u015eekil 3). Ancak deprem tan\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n hissettikleri sars\u0131nt\u0131 \u015fiddeti ve \u00e7evrelerindeki e\u015fyalar\u0131n hareketlerinden g\u00f6zlemledikleri olay bildirimlerinde yedi (VII) \u015fiddete kadar ula\u015fan bildirimler de vard\u0131 (\u015eekil 3). Deprem merkezinden 50 km\u2019ye kadar uzakl\u0131klarda bulunan deprem tan\u0131klar\u0131 uyand\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 belirtmi\u015flerdir. Tan\u0131klar depremin k\u0131sa ve olduk\u00e7a \u015fiddetli sarst\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 bildiriyorlard\u0131. EMSC toplad\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u015fiddet bilgilerine dayanarak deprem merkezinden belirli uzakl\u0131k aral\u0131klar\u0131nda ortalama olarak ka\u00e7 ki\u015finin hangi oranda deprem \u015fiddetine maruz kald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirledi (Tablo 1). Buna g\u00f6re, ortalama 1 milyon 300 bin ki\u015finin 5.4 de\u011ferinde deprem \u015fiddetine maruz kald\u0131\u011f\u0131 olas\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcyor. Bu duruma bir \u00e7ok deprem de kar\u015f\u0131la\u015f\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. E\u011fer, deprem konutlar\u0131nda bulunan birka\u00e7 ki\u015fi taraf\u0131ndan hissedilir ve dinlenme halindeki insanlar bir titre\u015fim veya hafif bir sallant\u0131 hissederse, bu durum III\u2019\u00fcnc\u00fc derece \u015fiddet olarak tan\u0131mlan\u0131r (\u015eekil 4).Yedinci derece \u015fiddet (VII) durumunda \u00e7o\u011fu insan korkar ve d\u0131\u015far\u0131ya ka\u00e7maya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131r, mobilyalar sars\u0131l\u0131r veya hareket eder, bir \u00e7ok nesne raflardan d\u00fc\u015fer. \u0130yi in\u015fa edilmi\u015f pek \u00e7ok evde orta derecede hasar olu\u015fur. Duvarlarda k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck \u00e7atlaklar, s\u0131va d\u00fc\u015fmeleri, bacalar\u0131n baz\u0131 k\u0131s\u0131mlar\u0131nda d\u00fc\u015fme olabilir (\u015eekil 4). Eski binalarda ise duvarlarda b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00e7atlaklar olur ve baz\u0131 dolgu duvarlar \u00e7\u00f6kebilir. He ne kadar Buca ve \u00e7evresinde hasar tespit raporlar\u0131 yay\u0131nlanmam\u0131\u015fsa da, \u00e7ok say\u0131da binada orta derece hasar raporlar\u0131 hakk\u0131nda bir bilgi ye ula\u015f\u0131lamam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu durum, yedi (VII) \u015fiddetine ait bildirimlerin abart\u0131l\u0131 oldu\u011funu g\u00f6stermektedir. Ayr\u0131ca, genel olarak 4.9 b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcndeki bir depremde merkeze yak\u0131n alanda (makrosismik b\u00f6lge) hafif hasar d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda orta hasar beklenmez. Bu depremde y\u0131k\u0131lan tarihi caminin baz\u0131 yap\u0131sal de\u011fi\u015fikliklere u\u011frad\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve cami minaresinin daha sonra 1954\u2019de in\u015fa edildi\u011fi bilinmektedir (Bkz. Nitekim kuvvetli ve b\u00fcy\u00fck deprem ya\u015fanan b\u00f6lgelerde birbirine yak\u0131n yap\u0131lar\u0131n \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 hasarlara maruz kald\u0131klar\u0131 g\u00f6zlenmektedir.
