Caltech\u2019te doktora sonras\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcren Vikram Ravi ve Curtin \u00dcniversitesi ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131s\u0131 Ryan Shannon \u00f6nderli\u011findeki ara\u015ft\u0131rma ekibi, FRB 150807 olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan, \u015fu ana kadarki en parlak FRB\u2019yi g\u00f6zlemledi.<\/p>\n<p>Astronomlar halen FRB\u2019lerin ne t\u00fcr s\u00fcre\u00e7lerde \u00fcretildi\u011fini tam olarak anlayamam\u0131\u015f olsa da,\u00a0<em>Science<\/em> dergisinde yay\u0131mlanan bu ke\u015fif, kozmik a\u011f ad\u0131 verilen, galaksiler aras\u0131ndaki zay\u0131f madde a\u011flar\u0131n\u0131n yay\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 anlayabilmek i\u00e7in \u00f6nemli bir ad\u0131m olarak nitelendirilebilir.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBizim tespit etti\u011fimiz dahil olmak \u00fczere FRB\u2019ler, milyarlarca \u0131\u015f\u0131k y\u0131l\u0131 uzakl\u0131klarda ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131klar\u0131ndan aram\u0131zdaki evreni anlamam\u0131za yard\u0131mc\u0131 oluyorlar\u201d diyen Ravi, \u201cG\u00f6r\u00fcnen maddenin yar\u0131s\u0131na yak\u0131n\u0131n\u0131n galaksiler aras\u0131 uzayda ince yap\u0131lar halinde da\u011f\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyor; bu madde normal teleskoplar taraf\u0131ndan yakalanamasa da FRB\u2019ler kullan\u0131larak \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131labilir\u201d diye ekliyor.<\/p>\n<p>FRB uzay boyunca hareket etti\u011finde galaksiler aras\u0131 maddeden ge\u00e7er ve t\u0131pk\u0131 atmosferden ge\u00e7erken maddeyle etkile\u015filen y\u0131ld\u0131z \u0131\u015f\u0131klar\u0131 gibi par\u0131ldar. Astronomlar bu patlamalar\u0131 g\u00f6zleyerek, D\u00fcnya\u2019ya do\u011fru yol almakta olan patlamalar\u0131n ge\u00e7ti\u011fi b\u00f6lgeler hakk\u0131nda bilgi sahibi olur.<\/p>\n<p>FRB 150807\u2019nin kendisine ev sahipli\u011fi yapan galaksideki madde ile zay\u0131f bi\u00e7imde etkile\u015fti\u011fi g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcyor ve FRB y\u00f6n\u00fcndeki galaksiler aras\u0131 maddenin tahmin edilenden daha fazla oldu\u011funu g\u00f6steriyor. Bu bulgu, galaksiler aras\u0131 ortamdaki t\u00fcrb\u00fclans hakk\u0131nda ilk kez do\u011frudan tahmin yapmam\u0131za olanak tan\u0131d\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, Avustralya\u2019daki Parkes Radyo Teleskobu\u2019nu kullanarak galaksimizdeki yak\u0131n bir pulsar\u0131 izlerken FRB 150807\u2019yi g\u00f6zlemlediler. Avustralya\u2019daki Curtin \u00dcniversitesi ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131s\u0131 ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n ba\u015fyazarlar\u0131ndan Ryan Shannon, \u201cSwinburne Teknoloji \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nde geli\u015ftirilen ger\u00e7ek zamanl\u0131\u00a0 tespit sistemi sayesinde, FRB\u2019nin izledi\u011fimiz pulsardan milyonlarca kat uzak olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen manyetik alan y\u00f6nelimlerinin ayn\u0131 oldu\u011funu g\u00f6rd\u00fck.\u201d Bu bulgular FRB\u2019lerin yo\u011fun ortamlarda ve kuvvetli manyetik alanlarda olu\u015ftu\u011fu iddias\u0131n\u0131 d\u0131\u015fl\u0131yor. Sonu\u00e7lar, kozmik manyetik alanlar\u0131n nas\u0131l \u00fcretildi\u011finin belirlenmesinde \u00f6nemli bir ad\u0131m olan, galaksiler aras\u0131 uzaydaki manyetizma \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fcn belirlenmesine olanak tan\u0131yor.<\/p>\n<p>\u015eimdiye dek yaln\u0131zca 18 FRB belirlendi ve bunlar\u0131n \u00e7o\u011fu gizemli bir \u015fekilde s\u00fcrekli par\u0131ldamadan ziyade tek patlamalardan olu\u015fuyor. Bunun yan\u0131nda FRB\u2019leri tespit eden teleskoplar genellikle d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fcrl\u00fckl\u00fc b\u00fcy\u00fck alanlar\u0131 tarayabilen teleskoplard\u0131r. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla patlaman\u0131n ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti\u011fi yeri tam olarak yakalamak olduk\u00e7a zordur. FRB 150807\u2019nin emsalsiz parlakl\u0131\u011f\u0131, Ravi ve ekibinin bu FRB\u2019nin konumunu \u00e7ok daha net \u015fekilde tespit edebilmesini kolayla\u015ft\u0131rd\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Kaliforniya&#8217;daki Caltech Owens Vadisi Radyo G\u00f6zlemevi\u2019ndeki Deep Synoptic Array\u2019in 2017 \u015eubat ay\u0131nda devreye girmesiyle birlikte, g\u00f6kbilimciler FRB\u2019lerin konumlar\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7ok daha kolay belirleyebilecek.<\/p>\n<p>Jet S\u00fcr\u00fc\u015f Laboratuvar\u0131 (JPL) ve Caltech taraf\u0131ndan finanse edilen Deep Synoptic Array prototipi projesi \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan\u0131 Ravi, \u201cHer g\u00fcn g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcnde 2000-10.000 aras\u0131nda FRB\u2019nin ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti\u011fini tahmin ediyoruz\u201d diyor ve \u201cbunlar\u0131n her on tanesinden biri de FRB 150807 kadar parlakt\u0131r.
