Buna kar\u015f\u0131n yery\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fcn hemen b\u00fct\u00fcn ekosistemlerdeki ko\u015fullara uyarlanarak varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcrme ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 elde etmi\u015f belki de tek t\u00fcrd\u00fcr. B\u00fcy\u00fck bir paradoks gibi g\u00f6r\u00fcnen bu ger\u00e7e\u011fin gerisinde yatan \u201csihirli\u201d fenomen k\u00fclt\u00fcrd\u00fcr.<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Uyarlanma, basit\u00e7e organizman\u0131n, \u00e7evrenin kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131na \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131\u011f\u0131 sorunlara tepki ya da cevap olarak geli\u015ftirdi\u011fi daha etkin \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmlerdir. Bu y\u00f6n\u00fcyle uyarlanma, biyolojik t\u00fcrlerin evriminde do\u011fal se\u00e7ilimle birlikte rol oynayan temel mekanizmalardan biridir. Uyarlanma, t\u00fcm biyolojik t\u00fcrlerin evrim s\u00fcreci ve \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan oldu\u011fu gibi insan\u0131n biyo-k\u00fclt\u00fcrel evrimi ve \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan da olduk\u00e7a \u00f6nemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu bak\u0131mdan uyarlanma <strong>evrensellik<\/strong>, <strong>b\u00fct\u00fcnc\u00fcl\u00fck<\/strong>, <strong>k\u00fclt\u00fcrel g\u00f6recelik<\/strong> ve <strong>b\u00fct\u00fcnle\u015fme<\/strong> (entegrasyon) ile birlikte modern antropolojik yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131n temel ilkelerinden birini de te\u015fkil etmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>B\u00fct\u00fcn di\u011fer organizmalar gibi insan da -hayatta kalmak ve soyunu devam ettirmek i\u00e7in- bir \u015fekilde beslenmek, tehlikelerden korunmak ve \u00fcremek zorundad\u0131r. Bu nedenle di\u011fer organizmalar gibi insan\u0131n da i\u00e7inde bulundu\u011fu \u00e7evreye uyarlanmak gibi bir meselesi oldu\u011funu s\u00f6yleyebiliriz. Burada insan\u0131n uyarlanma stratejisinin di\u011fer organizmalardan fark\u0131 bireylerin belirli bir toplumun \u00fcyeleri olarak, gereksinimlerini ve ivedi sorunlar\u0131na y\u00f6nelik \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmleri, ancak toplumsal k\u00fclt\u00fcrel sistem d\u00e2hilindeki \u00e7e\u015fitli d\u00fczenleme vas\u0131talar\u0131yla sa\u011flayabilmeleridir. Bu salt biyolojik gereksinmelerin kar\u015f\u0131lanmas\u0131 ile s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 bir mesele de de\u011fildir. \u0130nsan s\u00f6z konusu oldu\u011funda, biyolojik gereksinimlerin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra toplumsal ve psikolojik gereksinimlerin kar\u015f\u0131lanmas\u0131 gibi bir boyut da i\u015fin i\u00e7ine girmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Biyolojik ve toplumsal gereksinimler a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan insan toplumlar\u0131 az \u00e7ok benzerlik g\u00f6sterseler de bu gereksinimlere verilen k\u00fclt\u00fcrel cevaplar olduk\u00e7a farkl\u0131 ve \u00e7e\u015fitlidir. Ancak k\u00fclt\u00fcr ve \u00e7evresi (fiziksel, biyotik ve toplumsal \u00e7evresi) aras\u0131ndaki uyarlanma ili\u015fkisi tek y\u00f6nl\u00fc bir ili\u015fki de\u011fildir. Do\u011frusu, k\u00fclt\u00fcrle \u00e7evre aras\u0131ndaki kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131kl\u0131 etkile\u015fim ve ili\u015fkilerin varl\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan s\u00f6z etmemiz gerekir. Her ne kadar k\u00fclt\u00fcr \u00e7evreye uyarlay\u0131c\u0131 ise de, bu canl\u0131-\u00fcst\u00fc varl\u0131k alan\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fclenmesini sa\u011flayan mekanizmalar\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda da insan\u0131n \u00e7evresine uyarlanmas\u0131 gelmektedir; yani d\u00f6ng\u00fcsel bir ili\u015fki s\u00f6z konusudur<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>K\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn \u00f6nemi<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>D\u00fcnyam\u0131z\u0131n biyolojik tarihi, say\u0131s\u0131 milyarlarla ifade edilen biyolojik t\u00fcr pop\u00fcl\u00e2syonlar\u0131n\u0131n ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f ve yok olu\u015flar\u0131na tan\u0131kl\u0131k etmi\u015ftir. Bir hesaba g\u00f6re 600 milyon y\u0131l \u00f6nce, Kambriyenden g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan biyolojik t\u00fcrlerin y\u00fczde 99,9\u2019u zamanla ortadan kaybolmu\u015ftur. Evrimsel biyologlar t\u00fcrlerin geli\u015fimi ve yay\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 incelerken bunun \u201cdo\u011fal se\u00e7ilim vas\u0131tas\u0131yla en iyi uyum sa\u011flayan varyetelerin hayatta kalmas\u0131\u201d a\u00e7\u0131klamas\u0131ndaki gibi basit bir mekanizmaya indirgenemeyece\u011fini g\u00f6sterdiler. Bunun gibi uyarlanma ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n da s\u0131n\u0131rs\u0131z ya da sonsuz olmay\u0131p do\u011fal \u00e7evredeki de\u011fi\u015fimlerle s\u00fcrekli s\u0131nand\u0131\u011f\u0131 ger\u00e7e\u011finin alt\u0131n\u0131 da \u00e7izdiler. Dahas\u0131 uyarlanma stratejilerinin tek bir uyarlanma mekanizmas\u0131yla anla\u015f\u0131lmayacak kadar karma\u015f\u0131k ve birden fazla de\u011fi\u015fkene ba\u011fl\u0131 bir s\u00fcre\u00e7 i\u00e7inde \u015fekillendi\u011fine dikkat \u00e7ektiler.<\/p>\n<p>Do\u011fa bilimlerinden biyolojinin canl\u0131 t\u00fcrlerinin ekosistemle ili\u015fkileri \u00fczerine yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131n \u00f6nemli katk\u0131s\u0131, \u015f\u00fcphesiz insan\u0131n k\u00fclt\u00fcrel evrimini belirleyen s\u00fcre\u00e7lerin analizlerine kalk\u0131\u015f\u0131rken, insan\u0131n \u00e7evreyle olan kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131kl\u0131 etkile\u015fimlerinin daha dikkatle incelenmesini sa\u011flamas\u0131yd\u0131. Evrimin, \u00f6nemli \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde organizmalar\u0131n s\u00fcrekli de\u011fi\u015fen \u00e7evrelerine tepkilerinin (uyarlanma) \u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc olan, birikimsel bir de\u011fi\u015fim s\u00fcreci oldu\u011fu bir ger\u00e7ektir. \u0130nsan\u0131n k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc vas\u0131tas\u0131yla kendi ni\u015fini olu\u015ftururken hangi uyarlanma vas\u0131talar\u0131yla ne gibi birikimler v\u00fccuda getirdi\u011fi sorusu olduk\u00e7a kritik bir \u00f6nem ta\u015f\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Biyolojik donan\u0131m bak\u0131m\u0131ndan uyarlanma kabiliyetleri olduk\u00e7a s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 bir varl\u0131\u011f\u0131z. \u00a0Ger\u00e7ekten de insan t\u00fcr\u00fc, di\u011fer bir\u00e7ok hayvan t\u00fcr\u00fcne k\u0131yasla biyolojik bak\u0131m\u0131ndan olduk\u00e7a homojen (bir zamanlar \u00e7ok y\u00f6nl\u00fc ve toplumsal ayr\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131klarla \u0131rk\u00e7\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n malzemesi haline gelmi\u015f ten rengi gibi kimi \u201c\u0131rksal\u201d farkl\u0131l\u0131klar, insanlar aras\u0131nda bu karakteristikler y\u00f6n\u00fcnden belli grupland\u0131r\u0131lmalar\u0131n yap\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 ge\u00e7ersiz ve anlams\u0131z k\u0131lacak denli bilimsel temellerden yoksun, olduk\u00e7a y\u00fczeysel ve de ideolojik tasniflerdir ve g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz antropolojisi taraf\u0131ndan reddedilirler) ve yine bir\u00e7ok hayvan t\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn sahip oldu\u011fu kimi biyolojik yeti ve donan\u0131mlardan (renk de\u011fi\u015ftirme, kamuflaj, k\u00fcrk, boynuz, pen\u00e7e, h\u0131zl\u0131 ko\u015fma, z\u0131plama ve t\u0131rmanma vb.) yoksun bir varl\u0131kt\u0131r. Buna kar\u015f\u0131n yery\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fcn hemen b\u00fct\u00fcn ekosistemlerdeki ko\u015fullara uyarlanarak varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcrme ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 elde etmi\u015f belki de tek t\u00fcrd\u00fcr. B\u00fcy\u00fck bir paradoks gibi g\u00f6r\u00fcnen bu ger\u00e7e\u011fin gerisinde yatan \u201csihirli\u201d fenomen k\u00fclt\u00fcrd\u00fcr. \u0130nsan, biyolojik kapasitesinin s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131n\u0131 k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcyle a\u015farak ve kendi icad\u0131 olan k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc vas\u0131tas\u0131yla yery\u00fcz\u00fcnde neredeyse ula\u015f\u0131lmad\u0131k yer b\u0131rakmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi, di\u011fer canl\u0131 t\u00fcrleri i\u00e7inde geli\u015fkin zek\u00e2s\u0131 ve k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcyle do\u011faya egemen olabilmi\u015f tek t\u00fcrd\u00fcr de.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Anahtar kavram: esneklik<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Modern insan <em>Homo sapiens sapiens<\/em>in Holosen\u2019deki evrimsel ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131 ba\u015fl\u0131 ba\u015f\u0131na yeni bir uyarlanma rasyonelli\u011fi ile ili\u015fkilendirilmektedir. Burada temel ya da anahtar kavram esnekliktir. <em>Sapiens<\/em>\u2019in beyin kapasitesinden \u00e7ok, deneyim biriktirme ve alternatif stratejiler geli\u015ftirme becerisindeki art\u0131\u015f da diyebiliriz buna. Romer\u2019in Kural\u0131n\u0131n (1) <em>H. Sapiens<\/em>\u2019in ekosistemlerle oport\u00fcnist ili\u015fkisinin her ve\u00e7hesinde ba\u015far\u0131yla yeni uyarlanma tekniklerini geli\u015ftirilmesi y\u00f6n\u00fcnde i\u015fledi\u011fini s\u00f6ylemek iddial\u0131 olacakt\u0131r belki; ama avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131l\u0131ktan besin \u00fcretimcili\u011fine, oradan sanayile\u015fmeye olan k\u00fclt\u00fcrel evrim ve devrimlerin i\u00e7inde cereyan eden icat ve yeniliklerin, bu kurala \u00e7ok uygun d\u00fc\u015fen \u00f6rnekler oldu\u011funu s\u00f6yleyebiliriz.<\/p>\n<p>Ne ki, biyolojik evrim s\u00fcreci nas\u0131l kimi t\u00fcrler i\u00e7in olduk\u00e7a etkili bir mekanizma olarak i\u015fleyip varyasyonlardan yeni t\u00fcrlere olan de\u011fi\u015fimi tetiklerken di\u011fer pop\u00fcl\u00e2syonlarda g\u00f6rece daha az etkin bir de\u011fi\u015fim (ya da t\u00fcrle\u015fme d\u00fczeyinde farkl\u0131la\u015fma) mekanizmas\u0131 olarak i\u015flemi\u015fse, insan toplumlar\u0131 da i\u00e7inde bulunduklar\u0131 \u00e7evrelerin sundu\u011fu olanaklar ve s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131l\u0131klar d\u00e2hilinde birbirlerine g\u00f6re olduk\u00e7a \u00e7e\u015fitlik g\u00f6steren iktisadi ve toplumsal d\u00fczeylere uyarland\u0131lar. Bundan dolay\u0131 toplumlar\u0131n\u0131n kaderleri, bir zamanlar Morgan ve Spencer\u2019in ileri s\u00fcrd\u00fckleri gibi ilkelden uygar toplumsal a\u015famalara do\u011fru tek bir tarihsel model \u00fczerinden geli\u015fmelerini (evrimlerini) s\u00fcrd\u00fcrerek tamamlamakla de\u011fi\u015fmeden (Spencer\u2019in evrimleri dondurulmu\u015f fosil toplumlar dedi\u011fi avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131 tak\u0131mlar nevinden) dura\u011fan kalmak gibi bir ikilem aras\u0131nda s\u0131k\u0131\u015fm\u0131\u015f de\u011fildi. \u0130nsanlar \u00e7evreleriyle engin tarihsel deneyim ve birikimlere, d\u0131\u015fardan belli d\u00fczeylerde etkile\u015fim, m\u00fcdahale ve s\u00fcre\u00e7lerin de eklemlendi\u011fi bir \u00e7er\u00e7evedeki en uygun uyarlanma stratejisini izlemekle m\u00fckellef bir \u00e7e\u015fitlilik i\u00e7inde yer ald\u0131lar ve bu ayn\u0131 zamanda dinamik bir s\u00fcre\u00e7 olarak g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze kadar da devam etti. Haris, insan\u0131, k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc d\u00e2hilinde rasyonel tercihlerde bulunan \u201cekonomik insan\u201d olarak tan\u0131mlarken, tercihlerin bilin\u00e7li ya da bilin\u00e7siz yap\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131n dahi bu ger\u00e7e\u011fi de\u011fi\u015ftirmeyece\u011fini s\u00f6yler. Ger\u00e7ekten de antropologlar, kutsal inek tabusu gibi Bat\u0131l\u0131 k\u00fclt\u00fcrel normlara g\u00f6re son derece budalaca-irrasyonel g\u00f6r\u00fcnen pratiklerin gerisinde bile olduk\u00e7a iktisadi rasyonelliklerin varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6sterebilmi\u015flerdir. Bunun bir a\u00e7\u0131klamas\u0131, insanlar\u0131n kendi uyarlanma stratejilerinin \u00e7o\u011funlukla fark\u0131nda olmalar\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n esasen ya\u015fad\u0131klar\u0131 uyarlanma s\u00fcre\u00e7lerinin fark\u0131nda olmamalar\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>K\u00fclt\u00fcr yaratan ilk atalar\u0131m\u0131z avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131yd\u0131lar<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yehudi Cohen ekonomilerle toplumsal \u00f6zellikler aras\u0131 ili\u015fkiler temelinde bu denli \u00e7e\u015fitlilik i\u00e7indeki k\u00fclt\u00fcrler i\u00e7in olduk\u00e7a kullan\u0131\u015fl\u0131 bir tipoloji geli\u015ftirdi. Bunu yaparken birbirinden ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z ancak benzer ekonomik nedenlerin, benzer \u00e7evrelerde birbirine az \u00e7ok benzer k\u00fclt\u00fcrel etkiler do\u011furdu\u011fu (2) varsay\u0131m\u0131na dayand\u0131. Bu tipoloji alt\u0131 farkl\u0131 uyarlanma stratejini kapsamaktayd\u0131: <strong>avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k, bah\u00e7ecilik, tar\u0131m, \u00e7obanl\u0131k, ticaret <\/strong>ve<strong> sanayi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00fclt\u00fcr yaratan ilk atalar\u0131m\u0131z avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131yd\u0131lar. Modern antropolojinin geleneksel ilgi alanlar\u0131n\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda, avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131lar\u0131n gelmesi \u015fa\u015f\u0131rt\u0131c\u0131 de\u011fildir. Zira insan\u0131n biyo-k\u00fclt\u00fcrel evrimi s\u00fcrecinin neredeyse y\u00fczde 99\u2019unu kapsayan uzun Paleolitik ve Epipaleolitik d\u00f6nemler boyunca (hatta Neolitik d\u00f6nemin b\u00fcy\u00fck bir b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnde) h\u00e2kim tek strateji avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131l\u0131kt\u0131. \u00c7e\u015fitlili\u011fin k\u00fclt\u00fcrel boyutlar\u0131 avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131 insanlar s\u00f6z konusu oldu\u011funda dahi biyolojik \u00f6zelliklerin \u00e7ok \u00f6tesine gitmektedir. Avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131 uyarlanmalar\u0131n \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi bug\u00fcn giderek kaybolmakta olan bu ge\u00e7im tarz\u0131n\u0131n ya\u015fayan \u00f6rnekleri d\u00e2hilinde bile g\u00f6r\u00fclebilmektedir. Dahas\u0131 bu toplumlar avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131 uyarlanma sayesinde g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze kadar ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 bir bi\u00e7imde hayatta kalabilmi\u015flerdir.<\/p>\n<p>Kalahari \u00e7\u00f6l\u00fcndeki Bu\u015fmanlar\u2019\u0131n (daha do\u011fru bir deyi\u015fle kendilerine atfettikleri isimle Ju\/\u2019hoansi\u2019lerin uyarlanma \u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcs\u00fc olan avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k, ilkel bir ge\u00e7im tarz\u0131n\u0131n g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze kadar gelmi\u015f kal\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131 de\u011fildir ve mevcut ko\u015fullara Bu\u015fmanlar\u2019\u0131n deneyimleriyle sa\u011flad\u0131klar\u0131 en ge\u00e7erli uyarlanma stratejidir; dahas\u0131 kullan\u0131lan kaynaklar\u0131n ve t\u00fcketim kal\u0131plar\u0131n\u0131n farkl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi k\u00fclt\u00fcrel farkl\u0131l\u0131klar bir yana b\u0131rak\u0131l\u0131rsa iktisaden ABD\u2019de orta s\u0131n\u0131f bir ailenin ge\u00e7im d\u00fczeyinden daha fakir ve de g\u00fcvencesiz bir ya\u015fam bah\u015fetmemektedir. Ne ki, daha az \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma ile ge\u00e7imin sa\u011flanmas\u0131 ve daha fazla toplumsal dayan\u0131\u015fma a\u011f\u0131 sunmas\u0131 gibi avantajlar\u0131 ile orta s\u0131n\u0131f ABD insan\u0131nda olmayan bir art\u0131 de\u011fere de sahiptir. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla tak\u0131mdan devlet d\u00fczeyinde toplum a\u015famas\u0131ndaki gibi bir geni\u015f skala i\u00e7ersindeki politik organizasyon \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi bir k\u00fclt\u00fcrel evrimsel ilerlemeyi temsil etmez, ancak basitten daha karma\u015f\u0131\u011fa olan \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi ifade eder.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Bah\u00e7ecilik ve sabit yerle\u015fim birimleri<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ne ki, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczden yakla\u015f\u0131k 10-11 bin y\u0131l kadar \u00f6nce Orta Do\u011fu, G\u00fcney ve G\u00fcneydo\u011fu Asya ile Orta Amerika\u2019da (Meksika) yo\u011fun toplay\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k yapan avc\u0131-toplay\u0131c\u0131 halklar, bitki ve hayvanlar\u0131n evcille\u015ftirilmesini ba\u015fararak sabit k\u00f6ylerde besin \u00fcretimcili\u011fine dayal\u0131 \u00f6ncekinden farkl\u0131 yeni bir ge\u00e7im stratejine uyarland\u0131lar.
